/surveys tip of a house.

Have got tomorrow morning free to get the place looking more reasonable. I fear I maybe be severely lacking motivation. Anyone want to join me for a mutually supportive cleaning session tomorrow am?

umbrella - of course you can join in -the more the merrier (or at least more frantic!) You've not got long!

micci - you have the same style as me then - theres always more interesting things to do rather than cleaning and then something snaps and I have to get on top of it.
/Ushers miccis dh out of house

VS - sleeping baby cuddles far far more important than manky old housework!

Ok. Am leaving for physio at 1:15 (oh the irony!)

have just:
tidied upstairs
dusted upstairs
quick clean of bath and loo
done watering.
Have decided if i leave strawberries til evening more will be ripe!
Phoned drugs team re horrid park find - no answer
Made yogurt

Had a nasty moment cleaning fish. The nursery (which hangs on inside of aquarium) containing 3 baby mollies slipped. one baby escaped and one huge hungry looking molly ended up in with 2 remaining baby mollies. Was a hot sweaty moment returning fish to rightful places. dd would be upset if babies were eaten.

Next: (groan)
hoover upstairs
tidy downstairs. Incl rediscover dining room table.
Order photobox prints.
Then will have lunch no matter what time it is cos its a good excuse to sit down!

Sleeping baby is finally properly asleep, and in chair.
Time to do the kitchen.
If I type this I may actually do it!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2008 11:50

is it looking better yet?

Have had a bit of a failure - have done photos and tidied quite a lot. Tummy grumbling and needs food. Will tackle tasks after lunch!

cake is oven now. yard and kitchen floor cleaned and next load of washing ready to go in! did hoover up all the cereal but now dd1 has found the prawn crackers from last night and very kindly opened them for dd2 who very kindly emptied the whole bag all over the floor for dog who wont eat them!! have given up hoovering for now as am sure lunch will end up on the floor too!! argghh!! does no one want a clean house but me???!!!

going to start shredding mail now while waiting for cake to cook! actually first will give bathroom quick wipe down then do shredding!

VictorianSqualor · 23/06/2008 12:00

Have done kitchen, all except putting freezer draws back, but they have been washed.
Dusted, took a wash out, put a new load in.

Corrected the shopping order for tomorrow after checking cupboards and doing some meal planning.

Just need to do the hoovering and the upstairs bedrooms need a quick tidy.

But DS2 has just woken up and DS1 wants his lunch, so it's time for a break.

LazyLinePainterJane · 23/06/2008 12:54

Urgh. I am not feeling anywhere near as motivated today as I was yesterday. Have managed to get 2 loads of washing on the line, dust downstairs and water the garden.

but I STILL have to sort the utility room and [boak]clean the fridge. [slack]

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2008 12:59

All went to pot - have had to put down a bird my cat brought in. weepy mess now. Got to go to physio in 15 mins.
will try again later perhaps.

toadette · 23/06/2008 13:28

Arghhh, only just found your thread ohyoubadbadkitten. Could really have done with a good kick up the bum to do a housework morning here today. Will have to do it tomorrow instead if you're still up for some cleaning buddies?

micci25 · 23/06/2008 13:41

i will be toadette! its gonna take more than one day to sort out my house

my cake is done, although looks nothing like the one on the box!! perhaps because i couldnt find a cake tin so baked it in a small saucepan instead?

have shredded some papers and will come back to it later! am just having a little coffee break atm and then going to do mantle (wasnt on list but dp asked me to clear it so he can put his cards up) and then am going to do stairs, although i am considering going to sit in my nans garden instead!

sorry about the bird fiasco badkitten my cats do that! normally they are already dead but i have had to wrestle a live one from out of the cats mouth before! luckily it survived, was looked after my dad a few days and released back into wild!

LazyLinePainterJane · 23/06/2008 13:56

ok, so have tidied utility mess and now have to hoover and clean it and still have to tackle the fridge from hell before shopping arrives at 3.

Can't wait till it's done but really have lost interest now. When this is done, the house will be straight, then have to tackle the shed.

ready4anothercoffee · 23/06/2008 14:32

Gosh, you've all been really busy!!! As usual, all my plans went pearshaped when first I realissed I had to get my pills from the chemist as I was almost out, and ended up with a friends daughter as friend has stuffed her back up!

Any way, am trying to get back on track, next load of wahing about to hit the line, then will be sweeping floors and hopefully scrubbning...If I can keep the fairy elephants outside with their muddy feet

LazyLinePainterJane · 23/06/2008 14:41

Well, the silver lining was that I got to vacuum with my new Miele Cat and Dog and it was wonderful! Have never actually liked vacuuming before

Just the fridge and a few bits and bobs to go.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2008 16:13

Lazyline - cool new toy! Well done with progress so far.

toadette - I'm up for doing a repeat tomorrow!
Have got a meeting mid morning - then some research to so I'll have to do most of mine in the afternoon.

ready4 = what a good samaritan you are - well done - much better to have time to help a friend than doggedly sticking to plans.

micci - that was very enterprising of you to use a saucepan - would never have occured to me to do that! If its your dhs birthday today then sitting in Nans garden is good idea so that you aren't a frazzled mess when he gets home!

Am drinking some tea.
Then:
Gather washing in and put away - ironing?
Put bedding back on
make some popover thingys to go with soup for tea.
Gather strawberries

OP posts:
micci25 · 23/06/2008 17:37

ahh too late for sitting in nans garden changed my mind about that one! but dp is not in untill after 8 so have time to have a nice bath!!

am onto doing the stairs atm. its one of those things that i never get around to doing so it really needs doing and its one of dp's biggest bugbears so am sure he will appreciate that more than a nice relaxed me!! but am having another coffee right now as i cant find the part of the hoover that i need and havent got a clue where to look!

LazyLinePainterJane · 23/06/2008 17:40

micci, I know what you mean about the stairs, I never get around to doing them, even when the rest of the house is clean.

Have finished the smelly smelly fridge freezer and put all the shopping away and am on the home straight, a quick vacuum, water the garden and that's about it. Then I shall need a LOOOOong bath as I stink!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2008 19:24

oh well done on fridgefreexer LLPJ.
Enjoy your baths both of you. you deserve to.

Have picked strawberries + raspberries, made and eaten dinner and also made some fresh fruit scones for tomorrow (thats my way of procratinating)
Bedding is on beds
dh is doing ironing for me.
Downstairs still looks a tip but have run out of oompf.

toadette · 23/06/2008 19:59

Well done everyone for today. Looking forward to a cleaner house tomorrow when I join in. See you tomorrow kitten, micci and anyone else who'll be about

micci25 · 23/06/2008 22:07

im finished now though am going to a bit of ironing in a bit but dont really class ironing as 'work' because i dont mind it much!

today i cleaned yard and kitchen floor
baked a cake
vaxed living room carpet
cleared off and cleaned mantle (was being used to store small toys and junk mail and combs)
quick wipe down of bathroom
shredded some junk mail
tidied stairs and cleaned paintwork but still need to hoover
done two loads of washing
and washed up a few times...and there is more again but that can wait untill morning!

tommorrow will...
wash up
more washing
hoover stairs
tidy dd1s room and hoover and vax carpet if needs be cant really see her carpet stm she has covered it with stuffed animals!
start reorganising main bedroom (which will take weeks not days due everything being hoarded stored there as lack of storage elsewhere!!

cheesesarnie · 23/06/2008 22:07

i had big clean today.is now a mess.i give up

LazyLinePainterJane · 24/06/2008 08:14

Ahhh micci, I don't class ironing as work either because I don't do it!

Well, the mother will be arriving in an hour and it is all clean, apart from DS deciding to bring all outside toys inside first thing this morning pixie....

toadette · 24/06/2008 09:14
