Just that - if you had space for only one, which would it be and why?

Air fryer. I have both, but the air fryer is used almost every day. Slow cooker just comes out when I’m batch cooking.

Spendysis · 07/02/2025 18:33

What about an instant pot that is a slow cooker air fryer pressure cooker in one

BleachedJumper · 07/02/2025 18:33

Air fryer.

Can count on one hand how many times I’ve had the oven on over the last year or so because the air fryer gets used daily.

Slow cooker foods can generally be made in a big pan on the hob/cooked slowly in the oven if needed.

ShoesAddict · 07/02/2025 18:33

It depends on what you eat most of the time soups and casseroles (slwocooker) or oven food (airfryer). If this is in an airbnb and you're kitting the kitchen then id rather slowcooker on holiday.

DemonicCaveMaggot · 07/02/2025 18:36

Air fryer. We have one with two drawers. DH cooks his meat in one side and I cook my vegetarian stuff in the other. It is great, it can sync so that both sides are finished at the same time and I can do stuff like vegetable kebabs without worrying about them burning as I do when using the grill.

We have an instant pot and I hardly ever use it. It has an air fryer function but it is a lot smaller than an actual air fryer and a pest to drag out from the cupboard.

RampantIvy · 07/02/2025 18:37

Neither

Comedycook · 07/02/2025 18:39

Definitely an air fryer. I use mine multiple times a day. I have a slow cooker and can go months without using it. The odd thing is nice in the slow cooker but Im generally not a huge fan of food made in it. Slow cooked food in a normal oven is much better.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 07/02/2025 18:41

Air fryer because they look more fun.

KittenPause · 07/02/2025 18:42

Air fryer

I rarely use my slow cooker

NeverDropYourMooncup · 07/02/2025 18:44

Assuming it is space and not money, I'd get both - with a pressure cooker added in. The Ninja 15 in 1.

Air fryer, slow cooker, pressure cooker, standard hot type cooking - all eventualities covered in one.

AnnaQuayInTheUk · 07/02/2025 18:45

Air fryer. So much more useful

ZaphodandMimi · 07/02/2025 18:46

I wouldn't ---- a digital pressure cooker (does not need to be branded Instant Pot) is perfect for almost anything. Pasta, rice, casseroles, jacket potatoes, selected puddings, soups, cassoulet, curries, batch hard-"boiled" eggs, re-heating, delayed start times/keeping warm. Generally everything can be healthy (apart from the puddings of course).

QuestionableMouse · 07/02/2025 18:46

Can't remember the last time I used my slow cooker but my air fryer gets used daily.

Salmonleaping · 07/02/2025 18:49

Air fryer which is used every day. Our slow cooker tends to be used in colder months.

This. I also feel pressure cookers lend themselves to eating better than an air fryer, but that could just be how we use our air fryer,

theduchessofspork · 07/02/2025 18:52

Air fryer - just very useful for getting dinner out quickly

Slow cookers are good if they have timers, and you are the sort of person that puts a stew on before work, but are you?

ApplesinmyPocket · 07/02/2025 18:53

Airfryer, no question. I use mine nearly every day.

Slow cooker is useful occasionally, like once a month.

Slow cooker action of holiday is way beyond the call of duty

BeaAndBen · 07/02/2025 18:55

What do you eat?

I like pasta, curry, chilli, dishes with pulses and mostly cook on the hob so I find the pressure cooker the best. I use it all the time. DH will cook rice in it but that’s about it.

DH likes things cooked in the oven much more, so he thinks the air fryer is the dog’s bollocks. Meat, fish, snacks, chips - loves it. I use it occasionally to reheat pizza.

Mintearo7 · 07/02/2025 18:55

Air fryer hands down. Less options in the slow cooker.

ConstanceM · 07/02/2025 18:56

Ninja - every other answer is wrong

JessiesJ99 · 07/02/2025 18:58

Get one that does both

Autumndayz77 · 07/02/2025 18:59

Mine is a all in one

pandapopadance · 07/02/2025 18:59

Ninja 15 in 1 then you have both

Favouritefruits · 07/02/2025 19:00

Air fryer without a doubt!
