Just that - if you had space for only one, which would it be and why?

I have a ninja 15 in 1 so can use as a slow cooker too. I also have a two drawer air fryer. Don't know what I would do without them my oven is awful these have been amazing transforming meal times.

All those suggesting the Ninja 15, does it work well? I've got an InstantPot which supposedly both pressure cooks and slow cooks, but the slow cooker function doesn't work as well as a dedicated slow cooker

We have a combination microwave oven and air fryer which is great.

Yes. Used almost daily for 2 years now saved a fortune in electric not using my oven as much. There are usually 6 of us for weekday tea so had to get a 2 drawer as well to work alongside. But 15 in 1 is great.

Airfryer. Used more than my oven. I don't have a slow cooker and have never felt the need

Ninja 15-1 brilliant although if you buy one get an extended warranty as there's a known problem with the lid not shutting properly after lots of use and the whole thing stops working.

Whilst they are brilliant for brown freezer food of which we rarely eat, they are also great for cook from scratch. I've cooked eg:

  • whole cooked chicken roast
  • pulled pork
  • cakes
  • bread
  • slow cooked ragu
  • steak

The steam function produces amazing steamed meals.

Instant Pot or equivalent - then you can have both.

SirChenjins · 09/02/2025 09:20

Air fryer - I have both but rarely use my slow cooker these days

Coffeeishot · 09/02/2025 09:22

As pp have said an all in one , I have the ninja it's great does everything.

Fraaances · 09/02/2025 09:22

I could live without the airfryer, but not my instant pot. (There are others out there, I know. Pretty sure they’re equally good.) I love that I can pressure cook, slow cook, etc. Great for soup, curries and stews, etc

caramac04 · 09/02/2025 09:25

I’ve got both plus a ninja 11-1 which also pressure cooks and slow cooks.
I would not be without my pressure cooker as I use it daily. Once you’ve pressure cooked a bacon or gammon joint you’ll never cook it any other way.

Slow cooker without a doubt for me. It's so handy to come in to food that is ready to go, plus it's good for when DC have different activities and need to eat a varying times.

I downsized the worktop hogging big air fryer to a tiny one. It doesn't do anything the oven can't do better. The little one is handy for small portions like when the kids are cooking their breakfasts but that's about it.

@TheNuthatch I use the slow cooker for loads of different meals and desserts. They're not just for casseroles.

I’m not using mine to the full. Will you give me some ideas please?

This week I have made in the slow cooker:
BBQ pulled pork
Rice Pudding
Jacket Potatoes
Veg Soup
Lasagne
Chicken Casserole
Sticky toffee pudding

I use it at least 3 times per week for those days where we are all busy. Taming Twins website has some good slow cooker recipes. HTH.

Salmonleaping · 09/02/2025 13:58

Thank you @TheNuthatch. Much appreciated.

Air fryer! I gave my slow cooker away - at some point everything had the same taste. I love my air fryer. For soups I use a pressure cooker.
I would love a pressurecooker-airfryer-slow cooker all-in-one pot but can't justify the expense!

suki1964 · 10/02/2025 06:08

Another fan of the 15 in 1 here, although I rarely use the air fry function on it, as I also have a dual drawer

On a Sunday I will make two types of soups, a loaf of bread, roast the dinner, steam or PC the veg and then put the milk in to turn into yoghurt overnight in the 15 in 1

For those thinking air fryers are all about beige frozen food - watch Jamie Olivers series on Air frying cooking where he is using a dual drawer air fryer

I cleaned my oven two years ago and its still spotless - Ive used it once since
