Very keen to get some idea! Mine are currently thrown in a box in a cupboard. I am dreaming of them being organised alphabetically and orderly! 0

Back of the pantry door here too - but it's a walk in small room to no issue with room to close it.

I think this was from Etsy, plus square jars

Wow my mind is genuinely blown with envy right now.

I'd like to know how the pantry ones work too without banging the shelves inside?

The inner pantry shelves are sort of set back deeper so there’s room for the spice rack to close without boshing into the inner shelves.

mathanxiety · 23/04/2024 20:41

Mine are in little glass jars that came in a set, sitting in magnetic racks that are stuck to the side of the fridge. The glass jar set came with labels to stick on the side of the jars.

mathanxiety · 23/04/2024 20:43

@SanFranBear - very small kitchen here too, and those magnetic racks are exactly like mine.

mateysmum · 23/04/2024 20:44

I have a thin cupboard at the back of my island that I use. I love it. I buy cheap plastic jars of ebay and spices from SpicesOnTheWeb. I keep the roughly in alphabetical order.

But messier than usual (got a 17 mo so pretty busy lol). But I went for a shallow drawer under my hob when I redesigned my kitchen - best thing ever - so handy - 100% recommend 🙂. Foam on door handles for toddlers head 🙄

2 drawers - one for general and the other for Indian type ones
What a mess!

@Implosion85 just bought 24 hexagonal jars from Amazon for £15.99. The shape means they fit well. Also bought some labels.

@OhOhnobackagain These are BEAUTIFUL. I'm getting these 100%.
Where are you getting labels from?

I have two drawers for spices - one slightly more organised than the other!

Omg wow that's beautiful. Where did you get that?

Custom built spice rack and 36 jars of spices plus space for boxes of stock cubes, tin of paprika etc.

QueSyrahSyrah · 23/04/2024 21:06

We used to have these magnetic containers sat on the side of the fridge freezer (doesn't work for a built in fridge obviously). Used some otherwise dead space, freed up cupboard space and they're neat and easy to find.

At the minute ours are all just shoved in a cupboard because my partner doesn't want me to drill/screw into the new cupboard doors, but this is what we used to have and I'm desperate to get something similar again.

We also have a couple of spice tins like this for whole spices for when we make curry etc.

I love spices! Here's mine. Big/tall/awkward jars in baskets on top layer. Underneath are jars in alphabetical order. Complete spice junkie.

Mine looks like this too - although I use a different type of label maker.

Very few "spice jar" jars, as I buy them at the asian supermarket in bags and decant into real jars I can get a teaspoon (or tablespoon) into.

Toooldforthisshit49 · 23/04/2024 22:23

Sorry no photos 😔, I have 2 pull out drawers either side of the hob ,all spices and herbs in alphabetical order as it's quicker to grab when cooking (not anal about it a all 🤨)

MaryLennoxsScowl · 23/04/2024 22:45

I have the shallow ikea drawer too, but mine is only 40cm wide which isn’t enough even though it’s 60cm deep. I’m adding racks to the inside of the pantry door and will prioritise the most common ones for the drawer. The ikea drawers are also fabulous for pan lids above the pan drawer.

Iwouldratherbesinging · 23/04/2024 23:11

I definitely have spice jar envy! Most often used spices are on a tiered rack from Amazon, it’s quite deep as well so is handy, the not so often used ones are in a pull out cupboard underneath the hob, everything looks messy! Must tidy tomorrow 😂

@Implosion85 loads of pre-printed spice labels on Amazon as well. Those particular jars are dishwasher safe. They do various sizes …

Mine are in my pull out larder unit. At waist height so can read the jar tops.

This is like mine but grouped into types like Indian etching

I was actually trying to work out what you meant by Indian etching then....until I realised Grin

I’m just trying to work it out now 😂

I think I meant etc. I’m blaming my phone.

Ours used to be just shoved on a cupboard and were a complete mess. So we bought a whole drawer unit for them. Top drawer for savoury spices (curry stuff plus paprika), second drawer baking spices, then more random savoury stuff, then baking powder etc and in the bottom we keep the stuff we hardly use (powdered fenugreek, whole dried ginger, tamarind)
