So many videos on social media showing how amazing it is for cleaning/laundry etc - but I can’t find it anywhere? Where do you get it from???

The Home Bargains Star drops one is no good because it's diluted, just get pure white vinegar.

Peach0123 · 25/08/2023 18:15

I get mine on Amazon, a litre really cheap. It's great for descaling baby sterilizer and kettle.

Cookerhood · 25/08/2023 18:15

The bottles are tiny in the supermarket. I get my 5L bottles in Bookers.

Thank you! I keep trying the supermarkets and they don’t have it - staff always direct me to normal vinegar!!

Would B&Q do it?

It's with the normal vinegar. It's just the clear vinegar instead of the normal brown one. I get mine from Aldi.

The trigger sprays sold in supermarkets are annoying when you want to pour some down the sink so I just bought two large containers off Amazon for £8. DH was slightly bemused when they arrived, thinking they were all for his fish and chips.

That's what you use. White distilled malt vinegar

ArcticBells · 25/08/2023 18:50

Try Robert dyas or wilko

BertieBotts · 25/08/2023 19:24

Check both the vinegar section and the cleaning aisle in the supermarket.

Clueless2000 · 25/08/2023 19:31

PPs who are saying to buy distilled vinegar - that has malt in it - I thought the white vinegar you use for cleaning didn’t contain malt??

It does the same job

JobMatch3000 · 25/08/2023 19:39

They're both as effective

Pinkflamingopants · 25/08/2023 19:40

The cleaning aisle in the range - it comes in a spray bottle for £1

Bookchildtable · 25/08/2023 19:44

You need to ask for distilled vinegar in our tesco is next to the oils.

Pebblepaint · 25/08/2023 19:45

Lidl have it with the malt vinegar. So did Asda last time I tried but that's while ago

Roaminginthegloaming · 25/08/2023 19:47

I buy the 5 litre sizes from Amazon and use it as an eco-friendly weed killer because I have hedgehogs in the garden.

I bought a pump-spray container from B&Q and add the vinegar to it with a large cup of salt and a dash of Fairy liquid. There are videos on YouTube about it.

I live in a very hard water area so I also use vinegar for descaling my kettle and I put it in the washing machine fabric softener drawer when I’m washing towels (and my husband’s smelly sportswear!). You don’t get your laundry smelling of vinegar btw!

Spirallingdownwards · 25/08/2023 19:47

B & M but in the cleaning products aisle not the food aisles

WunWun · 25/08/2023 19:49

Iget the white kind in Tesco

meatbaseddessert · 25/08/2023 19:55

It's distilled vinegar

If you have the tesco app you can search which aisle to look in and check stock.

Go to shop in store, chose store, search distilled vinegar...it's very handy!

ILikeDinosaurs · 25/08/2023 19:59

I get mine from Wilkos.

Feeling sad that it's closing down. 😞

Krustykrabpizza · 25/08/2023 20:00

I get mine in Tesco

Merapi · 25/08/2023 20:02

I used it the other week in MIL's house. I really didn't like the smell at all.

MrsRetriever · 25/08/2023 20:04

Sainsburys also stock another brand which is cheaper than their own
