Morning all

Hi dame - yes, you've remembered me correctly. Wow - a 4th child! I do sometimes ask dh if he'd like more (ours are both teenagers now) and I'm sure his face goes white! I think 2 is the right number for him, though I'd have liked 4. Are you due in June? I'm glad your dh now has a job he likes. Is it the same line of work?

Ruby I used to be the one who tried to keep the colours separate and to put the lids on correctly so it didn't dry out. Do you do that, too? Our playdough kit is probably in the attic. I have lots of toys up there. I must sort them out one day maybe I'll car boot what I don't need to keep for nephews, nieces and godchildren. Oh, dear, more jobs to do!

Right. I'd best think about lunch. See you later!

ludaloo · 21/02/2008 12:30

Back from Toddler group and all had lunch.

have discovered I have now run out of washing powder. Will have to nip out to get more, as I still have two loads to do!

Done a bit of filing, as paperwork and bills was beginning to make piles which don't stand up, and fall over everytime you go near them.

Have a big pile to recycle/shred.

Back from toddler group, but not had lunch.
I did buy washing powder on my way home though. Shall I send you some Luda?

Can't remember who said my house wasn't a tip, but if you could see what I can you wouldn't agree. In this room I have:
a dining table and chairs,
the computer desk and all my paperwork,
A coatstand laden with stuff,
the buggy,
a bag of plaster,
Three sheets of plasterboard,
two scooters
ds, attempting to set up the marble run,
and a toilet (Brand new, wrapped in plastic!)

I will sort ou lunch and put the shopping away.

ludaloo · 21/02/2008 12:50

Jas...we have had a very similar morning haven't we! I think I'll nip and get some....would be quicker ....but thanks for offering

Oh and to those that mentioned it....I had a lovely time at toddler group. One of the mums bought a cake as it was her DS's 2nd B'day.....YUM! Diet out the window there!!!!

Thank you for asking all

Ruby thanks for playdough idea.

damewashalot · 21/02/2008 13:05

Simply, au pair? that's new isn't it? DH's job is same field but for a company that makes the equipment used in his old job. It's home based with some travelling to customers and so much more varied than his old job, he spent most of last year bored as there was too little to do.

Right, going to put ds to bed, will nip to shops while out getting big 2 and will come back in a bit having done something, haven't even done the dishwasher yet

ludaloo · 21/02/2008 13:16

Right, bought washing powder!
2nd load in machine...1st load in dryer
Dishwasher emptied

Guinea Piggles next...and then a vac around.

@ sleeping ds, dame

Mine is eating prawns, malt loaf and yoghurt for lunch (Yuk)
I've got the dds tea on the go, and dd1s room is tidy.

I feel really bad about playdouh. The dds used o get to do loads of messy stuff at home, and poor ds hardly ever does (I had old skanky carpets then, and now they are new 9slightly skanky) ones.

I will get him something interesting out to play with while I tidy up a bit.

Don'tt be jas he's not in bed, he turned the tv on and ITNG was starting so not a chance, didnt have energy to carry stroppy child to bed so let him.

I'm not here I'm doing stuff really

ludaloo · 21/02/2008 14:03

LOL @ Ruby

Ok...have cleaned the Piggles out...all nice and tidy and lovely!

I am having great trouble keeping focussed! I seem to get distracted really easily ATM!

The bin looked like it needed a wipe down, so I pulled it out of its little knook by the back door, and then decided it needed a proper wash down...inside and out. Then realised the whole area around the bin needed a wash down and the carpet needs a good vac....then decided to get the bin out the downstairs loo and wash that inside and out....and then the bin from the bathroom too. I have 3 bins now awaiting said wash down, cats bowls in the sink, hoover half unravelled....

And all I really wanted was the duster (which is kept near the bin)

Still have to do the bathroom...next job...if I don't do something else in between!
Still need to hoover too.
Have about and hour or so before I have to pick the kids up...so I shall get on!

ludaloo · 21/02/2008 14:44

There we go....bins all washed and put back...kitchen carpet has had a thorough vac.

Bathroom all nice and clean and sparkling, and smelling beeyootiful again.

Right, quick vac upstairs (will do downstairs when I get the kids home now)

Have done my list then I think!

At least you are being distraced by housework, Luda. I've cooked more stuff to go in the freezer, and this room is tidy.
DS has playmobile so he's happy.

It is raining on my washingAnd I have done another load to go on the airer, so the we stuff will just have to get wetter.

DDs don't finish til 4.15 today so I'm going to have a cuppa, and do 15 mins in the big bedroom.

ludaloo · 21/02/2008 15:10

Upstairs all vacced.
Still needs bits and bobs doing though.
Have to go and get the kids now, so will have to wait.

Jas of your cooking and freezing. I would love to do that, but we only have a small freezer. I'd love a chest freezer to put in the shed really.

Ruby They love it when they have a nice clean cage! They flit about squeeking to each other!

Shannaratiger · 21/02/2008 15:15

DS has just learnt to climb up on the chair & sofa.

DontDreamItBeIt · 21/02/2008 15:41

Why shanna?

My freezer isn't huge, either, but I try and bulk cook veggie thing for me and freeze in portions or I end up living on linda maccartney sausages.

Take some pictures and then freecycle them Ruby.

BiancaCastafiore · 21/02/2008 16:12

I took some old toys to our toddler group Ruby, they were really pleased to have some 'new' things
Luda you've been busy!

We're having a very lazy day. We went to the park earlier on the bikes - we were the only ones braving the cold! Stayed for an hour or so then went to the shop and home for lunch. Watched Shrek 3 after lunch (well, dd and I did, ds has disappeared upstairs on teh computer i think...ought to go and check really...!) Dd is now watching cbbc (more tv ) and I'm supposed to be thinking about getting some supper ready....
