I'm talking, 100% cotton, high thread count, not plain white, interested in bold designs and deep colours. Thanks!

Ted Baker. Lovely designs and no need to iron. I've got a flowery one in purples and blues.

Not bought one for ages but La Redoute do loads of 100% cotton and great designs and good prices. At least they did!

heldinadream · 17/05/2023 07:15

Yes they still do just looked! Not as cheap as they were but wtf is? I like this one.

Tkmaxx and Wayfair tend to be my go-to places

Azealeasinbloom · 17/05/2023 07:34

Bedeck have some lovely ones - they also do some which are a bit too sparkly for me, but my latest bedeck has holes near the top so I can keep hold of the top corners of the duvet as I wrestle it on.

IglesiasPiggl · 17/05/2023 07:35

Bedeck have a wide range.

Tk Maxx. Get some absolute bargains.

John Lewis William Morris prints.
Lovely to sleep in but they do need ironing to look their best.

M&S sometimes have some nice ones. I always look in TK Maxx too

Ourladycheesusedatum · 17/05/2023 08:35

Meant to add Joe browns too, some wild duvet covers

We have the John Lewis William Morris ones (though there are two variants and one is less gorgeous and silky than the other) with JL 800 thread count bottom sheets.

TheNoodlesIncident · 17/05/2023 08:47

We've had lots from M&S and always been happy with them, the quality for the price has always been reasonable.

But recently I bought a Dorma duvet set from Dunelm, and I can't see us ever returning to the basic ones. The close texture of the fabric is glorious and the duvet cover has a zip at the bottom instead of buttons, as do the brushed cotton Oxford pillowcases I put on the underneath pillows. It all feels wonderful! No idea about the thread count but it must be higher than average.

It was more expensive than we'd usually have but I really liked the design and thought I'd splurge. Now I'm not sure I can ever go back, so hopefully it will last a long time...

katmarie · 17/05/2023 08:50

We have the John Lewis 400 thread count soft and silky egyptian cotton uvet covers and pillow cases, with bamboo sheets. It was a bit of an investment as we have a super king size bed, but it has been absolutely worth it. I've had them 3 years now and they still look like new, and feel lovely.

Bovrilla · 17/05/2023 08:56

Dunelm Dorma ones.

Like slipping into a posh hotel bed every night. Bliss!

I've got JL 300 thread count Egyptian cotton waffle one too. Ours is very old (wedding gift) but washes and wears beautifully.

I don't think you can beat IKEA for quality 100% cotton duvet sets for a reasonable price
