Well I've not been on here since deciding to try flying again but have made a little progress Sorted out the coat hooks in the hall and took away all of the out grown ones do ther people have far too many coats just hanging there? Hall is now tidy and has stayed that way for a week

Had a really good go at the bathroom yesterday so hope to keep i t under control with s+s .

Am off to do kitchen and will pop back when I have a shiny sink.

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/02/2008 11:46

I hope you get sorted today TMH, and I hope that you get some help for ds, HazelNuts

Toddler group is off,I have done theshopping and errands which required leaving the house, but achieved nothing at all here.

I have wasted alot of time looking for my lost mobile phone so far.

I need to pick a room and stay there so I can see some results I t hink.

I will do 15 mins in the kitchen and report back. Hopefully the phone will turn up as I work my way through the house.

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/02/2008 11:47

Yes dame I have a huge pile of coats on the coat stand, despite trying to thin them down regularly, too.

glitterfairy · 19/02/2008 11:59

Blimey my timer seems to have broken. How annoying is that? I will have to resort to less scientific methods such as clock watching.

Ok so far have:

Washed loads x2
Drying x1
Tidied cat litter tray and cleaned.
Done mission
Sorted washing and put away
Listened to my youngest dd playng the piano
Considered applying for new job but have only been in this one three months! - dont know what to do.

damewashalot · 19/02/2008 12:00

It's not quite shiny but it's clean

Have also folded dry washing and put more on.

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/02/2008 12:14

Good luck with the interview GO

Do you type out your lists every day??? If I do hemI cut and paste from my daily routine list, and edit them

We've had lnch, and rebooted the laundry. I haven't finished the kitchen yet....back to work.

TheMadHouse · 19/02/2008 12:15

Things have gone from bad to worse today. We have just got back from A&E with DS 2. DS1 poured liquid hand soap all over him and it went in his eye. It is very inflamed and they have cleaned it out, but it looks like it has burned him. Molton Brown stuff - same ingredients as anti-freeze. I was only getting dressed. He took the chaor in from the kitchen and took it off the shelf in the downstairs loo. I popped him straight in the bath, both boys were so upset.

So I am sorting out thiere lunch going to let him have a nap and then take him back to the major A&E as they recomemded (30 mins away). He actually saw a pead at the minor injurys clinic (we live in the miiddle of nowhere) and they need the swelling to go down. Hey Ho

So no flying - no dentists - no nothing. I am going to have my first drink of the real day and start again I think.

OP posts:
FunkyGlassSlipper · 19/02/2008 12:17

aw madhouse. Hope the A&E dept can flush it out a bit more and that there isnt any lasting damage! Poor mite. They get everywhere, dont they !!!!

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/02/2008 12:44

TMH - I hope they sort him out at A&E

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/02/2008 12:45

Oh, yes.

I've finished the kitchen. Will start in here (dining room) next.....still no phone.

BiancaCastafiore · 19/02/2008 13:06

TMH hope he's OK.

We all have tidy hair Ds has kept his long-ish as the hairdresser likes boys with long hair (her dh has a pony-tail), he looks better now you can see his eyes
My kitchen is clean and tidy but the rest of the place is a mess. I never bother with much in the school holidays anyway so am not too bothered.
Ds had a party invite through the door this morning for tomorrow afternoon so we need to get to a shop to buy a pressie this afternoon.

DontDreamItBeIt · 19/02/2008 13:15

I've found my phone - down the back of the sofa

DS has very long hair now. He's 2 next week, and hasn't ever had it cut. The dds didn't have theirs cut either til they were three and four but were bald at this age. I will get it cut in the summer if he gets hot, but will have to trim his fringe soon I think.

TheMadHouse · 19/02/2008 13:19

DH has come home. SO I will leave DS1 with him while I take DS2 to the A&E.

DS2 has never had his cut and it is still quite short. DS1 has his trimmed as it is so curly it matts and goes in his eyes. We have a curly mullet thing going on. I think that there is plenty of time for things like that latter. Mine dont really stay still enough anyway.

TMH

you have my sympathies ds chipped my front tooth and bust my lip (again) last night. Ouch!

ludaloo · 19/02/2008 14:18

Hello

Have very quickly skimmed the bits I have missed..

HN and big {{HUGS}} for you. I hope they can help both you and DS1 xx

FGS glad dd's tummy seems to be better.

Errr Ummm can't remember anything else now!

Well I have tidied the house from top to toe, all that is left to do is the hoovering, which I will do in a mo.

Have been into town to put a cheque in the bank,
Have also bought DD1 a new Welsh Costume all ready for St David's Day....(Bargain...£8 from Oxfam) DD2 is having her old one...(awwww all three of them now have to dress up...very cute!)
Have also managed to get my walking in...did the school run this morning.

Well...better get on, have to hoover...and then it is gardening club. We are doing Minibeasts today...a minibeast hunt...then puzzles and pictures to colour.

Bewilderbeast · 19/02/2008 14:19

Afternoon all

done

bed made
pastry taken out of freezer for tea
ds taken to granny's

TMH hope ds is ok

be back when I get home from work

ludaloo · 19/02/2008 14:20

TMH Hope ds's eye is ok Hopefully they can flush it at A&E.

JingleyJen · 19/02/2008 16:07

Afternoon all. TMH your poor DS2 hope his eye is feeling better

Not got water or heating back on yet so afternoon activity has been reduced to sitting in the sitting room watching Cbeebies with DS1 whilst DS2 has a nap.. am going to go like the wind once the water goes back on.. still haven't made the macaroni, but have no water to cook it with so will have to be late.

Tuesday lady has asked if I can go back and see her at 5.30pm once her son has gone out - I know she is thinking about moving into an old peoples home so I guess that is why she wants her son to be out of the house..

more later..

sagacious · 19/02/2008 16:46
