Flylday advocates babysteps to slowly build a routine of doing housework and decluttering your house. She splits the house into zones and intensively cleans 1 each week whilst at the same time having a basic routine of doing the washing, shining sink, cleaning loos etc.

Some people are starting on babystep 1 today. Over the course of 1 month you slowly build morning, afternoon, and evening routines so that housework is done in small 15 minutes chunks and you get more free time.

Hi again. Had a lovely and surprising day with my friend whose husband died two weeks ago today. Her ds is a wonderful boy and kept coming in to hug his mum which was lovely to see.

Am now off to recycle and wash up and tidy and all the things I know I should be doing in any case! Notice the anti fly thread is still going strong. ludaloo you are being saintly and calm well done.

bianca, janni, tort, shann & bewilder. Hello to new followers of fly the more the merrier.

Ellie has developed a temp of nearly 39 so I have administered medicine & mopped brow.

puppy can't offer advice as dd isn't & hasn't been the best sleeper. Although better with words of advice from fly friends & baby whisper book.

I am kind of hoping sagacious that a long lunchtime nap will help him last until a later bedtime. I am conscious too that the clocks will be changing soon which can only help.

If other people are going to start babystepping then I'll do a link to them each morning. It's nice to not be alone!

Afternoon all

Welcome to all the new flyers.

Shanna My DS are 3 in March and 2 in June and both challenging and lovley in equal amounts.

Dinner is cooling for the boys and I am taking 5 mins out to say all I have managed is the basic stuff and a pile of washing which I will iron when the boys are in bed later.

I am not going under my bed I have a large basket will some of my shoes in the rest are in smaller baskets under the bed, with DH having 2 smaller baskets for his. I also have 20 pair of boots in the wardrobe and 8 more pairs of shoes and 3 baskets on top of the spare wardrobes. I can not bear to part with any.

Hello there

Been at work all day, exhausting but I really really loved it. I even went in the pool with the pupil with mobility difficulties and he had a great time. His mum said to me that he said he was happy going back to school because 'I get Mrs Grouchy on Monday'. That made me feel wonderful. I will miss it all when I finish next week. Hope they can keep me on as I love it and feel right at home there.

Not had time to FLY yet but

Loooong thread today Welcome new FLYers

I have been to work (took dd in with me as I managed to mess up childcare!) She was very good and read and did puzzle books all morning.
I was able to get away by 1pm so came home, collected ds from his friends house and took the kids out for a walk - we ended up being out from just after 2 till 5pm
While we walked dd wanted to play 'Raven' (a programme from Cbbc) - much fun was had esp as ds insisted on calling dd 'Raymond' instead of 'Raven' Called in at the park and loads of friends were there so we all had a good natter and the kids played - a lovely afternoon

Made a stir-fry for supper, dh was home in time to eat with us which was nice. I ate too much though have had a bad food week and managed to put on 5lbs bit fed up about that.

All in all a great day though, and not a jot of FLYing done Dh is loading teh dw and clearing up the kitchen so perhaps I ought to do my share and put some washing in the machine....

First load of washing is done and hanging up on the radiators to dry. That's my lot for today

Evening Everyone and Welcome Newbies

Sorry but I can wave I have not had a great time since last Thursday after DS1 was sent home from school again.

He was awake from 4am Friday morning and slow woke everyone else up so we were all up by 6am. Then he was a pain all day. Doing everything he knows he should not do. But worse was yet to come.

DS2 got ready to go to the disco and DS1 got very moody that DS2 was going and not him. He could not go because of what he did in school and it was the school that said NO to him going. He was even told by his teacher of why he could not go, so it did not come across to him that is was just me stopping him. Well he pushed DS2 down the stairs, lucky that DS2 saved himself and did not get hurt. But as DS2 went off in the car (A friend took him) DS1 went to the kitchen. I went back inside in my chair and DS1 came from the kitchen with a rolling pin and whacked my right wrist and had a go at me for not letting him go. He went to hit me again but missed my head and hit my left-hand instead. Who knows the where, why and how he know to do this. He has picked thing up to hit out with but he went to the draw and took the rolling pin out!

I now have a very sore left hand and my fingers hurt to move them and my right wrist is in plaster. The hospital think my fingers are ok but they are to swollen to be 100% sure. My wrist has a small crack in the joint. The doctor did tell me the name of it was but I have forgot what he called it now

DS1 is still being a nightmare and I have a SW coming out tomorrow at the same time as the GP to talk and see if there is anything we can do until he can see specialist. They are hoping they call get things moving on a 'fast track' thingy or something.

Mum is upset, (like I am) as she is having to keep DS1 away from DS2 and DD as he will just start hitting them without any real warnings. DS2 and DD just dont know what to make of it all. They both want to play with him but he just hits out when they dont do what he tries to make them do. It is like seeing a young xp1 because this is how xp1 would be

Typing is fun (NOT) I have a pencil between my fingers pointing down of my right hand and using the rubber on the end to tap the keys. Very slow

So it is going to be no flying for me for a while. I feel bad about not doing a lot these days anyway but with my hands out of use which were the my only means I could help out and do things(the rest of my body is crap most of the time )but all this is now making me feel even more useless

I will be looking in and having a read but maybe not much posting.

This has taken ages

Nuts I am so sorry about the issues you are having with DS1. I do hope that the SW and GP can do something for you all.

It must be really hard watching the ones you love act like this. My heart goes out to you.

Evening everyone

It's great to see soo many new people posting on this thread. Have read teh thread earlier can't remember most of it.
EHM hope Ellie is feeling better soon.

After reading the thread earlier when everyone was talking about making FLY work for them have concluded that after 3+months of trying i am never going to be able to write a weekly/ monthly routine. My goals are therefore
Clothes get washed dried and put away same day.
After every meal washing up gets done, dried , put away, sink shined adn sides wiped.
Toilet gets cleaned every day (at some point)
The zone room gets totaly cleaned, i have a list for that.
Motto to be posted on cupboard: "It's better than it was. If it's not good enough do it yourself."

Promised myself to be in bed by ten as "i need my sleep"

Back tomorrow
