Afternoon all.
I 2nd everything anyone else has said to everyone lol!
I have done my last jog session of this week. yes, i even went out in the puring rain and strong winds. Am very pleased with myself!
And i did a quick tidy up while i was waiting for post, before going on my jog. I was waiting for my new mobile. Its great!

Right, i have a nice hot bath waiting for me! Need to warm up, soak achey muscles then get dressed and crack on with some housework!

See you later.

My DD1 cried again today too. There were about 4 kids all crying so for once she wasn't the only one!
DD2 cried a bit when i left her at pre-school too! What a jolly start to the morning for me!

EHM · 10/01/2008 12:21

tibni · 10/01/2008 12:30

Hello all,

Not time to read thread properly as i'm working at 1pm.

Without knowing it I have been flying as I have been running errands all morning!

Managed to do all my morning routine and will do mission while I am cooking dinner later.

Not doing very well with hotspots - its an area I need to work on!

Will come back later and catch up with how everyone is.

Did spot Torts post - hope your little one is ok and well done you for jogging.

tortoise · 10/01/2008 12:39

Thanks tibni Hope work is ok later and well done for FLYing without knowing!

All clean, dry and dressed now!

Am hungry now but nothing much in the house food wise! Must but some later.

I suppose i better tidy up now or i will regret it later.

ludaloo · 10/01/2008 12:55

Tort what are we going to do with our kids! Hope they are ok when you pick them up I'm also very impressed with the jogging.

I have filed a load of paperwork for DH, and a load of housey bills etc. Computer table looks a bit neater now.
Another load is washing.
Still lots to do but I'm going pretty slowly today...have no umph!

tortoise · 10/01/2008 13:12

Luda Lol! They will be fine when i pick them up. DD1 even said this morning she likes school. She just doesn't like me leaving her. Hopefully she will get used to it one day!

I am doing ok with clearing up! Went a bit light headed so stopped for a mo.

ludaloo · 10/01/2008 13:31

Hmmm DS is the same, he is quite smiley when I pick him up.

Right hoovering next...

Simply · 10/01/2008 13:41

Right. I must type this quickly before I forget about the posts I've just read.

Hello to all.

Sorry BC. I didn't get back on the thread at 11.30 as no sooner had I posted then the school rang, asking me to collect dd. I've cancelled my plans for today and dd is ok. She hasn't been sick yet, anyway. We'll see how she goes. Well done for all you've managed to achieve.

gibberish You have my e-mail address, don't you? If you want me to chat to, give me your number by e-mail and I'll give you a ring. BC and luda can vouch that I'm who I say I am and not some hairy handed truck driver.

Hello there EHM. It's good to see you!

ludaloo · 10/01/2008 13:54

Ooohhhh noooo Simply I hope it wasn't us she had the bug from...so very sorry! I hope she is ok.

gibberish, I can vouch simply is perfectly normal (only a few hairs and not a very big truck )

EHM · 10/01/2008 13:57

simply hope dd is ok.

Macaroni Cheese made & in batches cooling rady for freezer for dd.
Having spicy chicken & veg soup tonight for tea which I made yesterday.
cleared away after making mac , so dw loaded & on again. 4th load of washing on high dryer too.

dd very cranky after nap, so off to cuddle & play.

Janni · 10/01/2008 14:07

Luda - that sounds like a stressful morning.

I can't believe I put off writing those thank you letters for so long. It was quick and nice to do - I put in photos of the kids. Must stop avoiding things like that in the future!

Did the mission but needed white vinegar as well to get the scale off the stainless steel.
A huge amount of gunge now gone!

To do: deal with today's post, clean toilets,
find out if we've got stuff to mend bathroom tiles, clean egg off kitchen window (!)

tortoise · 10/01/2008 14:07

Simply hope DD is ok.

Front room is looking better but no where near good enough! but i have to pick DD2 up soon and i have a bad head now.

Janni · 10/01/2008 15:06

Tort - remember when all else fails, lower your standards! Hope you feel better for having started..

School pick-up now, then batten down the hatches till bedtime as I have an extra child staying and DH won't be here...Simple baked potatoes for tea!

BiancaCastafiore · 10/01/2008 15:52

Kids are home from school and changed (does anyone else get their los out of school uniforms once they're home? Dd says nobody else has to do it) Ds is watching Bob the Builder, dd is playing on the Polly POcket website upstairs

I'll give them 30mins then they can come and do some colouring/homework before supper (mild chicken korma for dd...not sure what to make with chicken and rice for ds (very fussy eater) - any ideas?

I manged to
~hoover and mop downstairs
~dust downstairs
~s&s kitchen
~wash towels
~hoover quickly upstairs
~run a duster round
~All the beds are changed

There's more to do tomorrow, but everywhere looks better fo rgetting a good start today

gibberish · 10/01/2008 17:48

Aw simply ehm and bianca thanks very much Really appreciate the chance to moan!

Well, it's been a truly crap day today. What with realising I am deranged and obsessive compulsive, went to Comet and it was a complete waste of time. Manager REFUSED to do anything to help. Said the damage was 'wear and tear' and the hoover is working perfectly in his opinion. Asked if they would send it to be tested and he refused. Said he couldnt overule deputy manager's decision yesterday. I asked who could and he said Head Office. Asked if I could phone Head Office from the store and he said I wasn't allowed to use their phone. So had my mobile, phoned Head Office, to be told that they couldnt overrule the store's decision Quoted the Sale of Goods Act (had printed it out and taken it) and they just kept saying they were abiding by their policy. Was nothing else we could do but managed to go around telling as many people as we could in the store about their crap returns policy and happily watched people walking out without buying Deputy Manager told us that they were used to dealing with 'our sort' whatever the hell that was meant to mean... we never once raised our voices, were very calm, smiled through gritted teeth...

Anyway, am taking it to trading standards tomorrow. Doubt will get anywhere but is worth a try.

BiancaCastafiore · 10/01/2008 17:58

on your behalf Gibberish and tbh, I thought they'd have dealt with a customer better than that. at you putting other customers off!
Do feel free to moan anytime

We have had a lovely family supper. Ds refused anything with chicken or rice so he ended up with pasta he did eat really well though so perhaps it doesn't matter too much. Dh was home in time to eat with us so it was a family supper for the 3rd time this week

Was there someone on here who said they had a braclet for Christmas with their los fingerprints on? I've just been asked by a friend to have one made at the same time as she has one of her los....

gibberish · 10/01/2008 18:00

Thanks bianca

The bracelet idea sounds lovely!

TheMadHouse · 10/01/2008 18:21

Yes me got the braclet it made me cry it was so wonderful and so unexpected.

Tiny Treasures

Gibberish feel free to e-mail me and I will send you my MSN details and we can chat if you want. I have a mental health nurse and also see a phyciatric Consultant (he is the head of the mental health team), I was also under the crisis team at one point. I was so worried that I was going to be committed - but I have been receiveing fantastic treatment - CBT at home and also regular reviews. They have never once discussed social services or the children and they also discussed things with DH. I am more than happy to chat through this with you and explain what was and is happening.

TheMadHouse · 10/01/2008 18:24

Boys are in the bath creating mayhem with their daddy. I got all my jobs done, bar visting the post office, so all in all not a bad day FLY wise.

I even managed to get DH 2 new ties for £1.50 in Tesco and two brown duffel coats for the boys next year in the Tesco Sale £9 each and they wash and machine dry. I like traditional coats for them and tend to need two as they always get one dirty.

Plan for tonight is to have a bath, eat with DH and maybe iron, but we will have to see.

gibberish · 10/01/2008 18:42

Thanks tmh will do that. Just dashing out now, but hopefully will get back on tonight. If not will be around tomorrow.

TheMadHouse · 10/01/2008 18:49

DontDreamItBeIt · 10/01/2008 19:39

Evening

I've skimmed as much as I can, and haven't picked up much apart from Crying-at-school children And gibberishs very bad day

Have you tried getting in touch with the manufacturers(I know that is spelt wrong and I'm too lazy to go and look it up) re the hoover?

I obviously don't know all the ins and outs of your mental health issues, but wrt home edding, they would have to besure tha you were a danger to your children (highly unlikely ) or they would be discriminating, even if you do have ongoing problems.

I'm an ex mental healh nurse, but this isn't my area of expertise. I'm ok with practical advice though

I think EHM had cufflinks made with fingerprints on didn't she? Las year sometime. They looked lovely whoevers they were.

I have the correct number of walls in my bedroom now but it stinks of wet plaster, so we'll be onthe sofabed again tonight.

I did get a bit of FYing done today, but I think thi post is long enough without me lisig stuff too

EHM · 10/01/2008 20:11

dontdreamit wow you have a great memory.I did get cufflinks made for dh from ellie on fathers day he was overjoyed.www.littlepinkies.co.uk here Sounds like TMH was just as overjoyed with her fingerprint bracelet. I would be too
glad you got plastered

DH has just phoned to say he is having a pint after work It doesn't bother me he is having a pint, its just he always phones about an hour after he was due to arrive home & says he wont be late. He always is & then stinks of drink..uck! I sometimes wish I could just decide on a whim to go & have a martini. I never did when I could so theres no point in saying it

I've had a bite to eat & I am going to start ironing clothes washed & dried today.
