The minimalism game Jan 2022

The idea is to get rid of 1 item on the 1st of the month, 2 on the 2nd, 3 on the 3rd etc. I hopped on the way of a thread in December but am here to start afresh if anyone want to join in. I might do this in reverse though, starting with 31 today and working back to 1, only because DC are going to their dad's tomorrow 2 fir days so I will have the time to maje a good start at it.

I aim to post updates daily!

We are nowhere near finished here although our new house is mostly done .

Could not log on yesterday for some reason. 2 more old games freecycled and a start made in the other bedroom so set aside a pile to sort and work out where to distribute. Last day today but so much still to go I am determined to do another month. Will go backwards again so it is easier for me to have identified the first big pile for the midweek days. Well done everyone who can see the difference in their homes.

I am still at it, and have a running list. I'm determined to finish today and do haveca lot of paper stuff to go through so hopefully will be easy to catch up.

I do think I have quite a lot more that could go, but its the harder toward with stuff, things I've collected (and have lurked in a cupboard unseen ever since!) Slightly sentimental things.

I'm sure I could do another month, it just depends on whether I have the time to get through it all.

I might go for 5 a day.

Quick tot up, I had done up to day 21. So to finish the month I have day 21 -31 to go. Due to working backwards this is 55 items. So far i have...35 , including
2 old coffee jars
2 biscuit tins
2 bras
6 books
2 party bags
1 activity book abd loads of other bits of general tat!

so 20 to find! Going to re think my paperwork clear out abd try a make it 20 "proper items".

And I'm done!! That was easy, opened a cupboard I'd nit looked I before. It's got "paperwork", stationary, kids school stuff, and a basket of junk. 20 items found very easily, to include

Balloons
Several membership cards

I'm keen to carry on now!

Broken cool box binned. I have ignored it for a decade I'm sure so feels suitable symbolic for my last item of the month. Honestly feel so much better looking at some areas I have tackled that I am keen to do February. Well done everyone who has done what they wanted.

I do have another bag for the charity shop of 43 items, just couldn't carry it today, so that would take me another day and a bit. Not going to have time before tomorrow to bin enough to get to 31 but I feel pretty good about where I got too.

Definitely up for another month!

Well done everyone, its such a great feeling being less cluttered. I am keen to carry on but not quite sure how. Maybe I'll start at 1 this time and work up .
