hi jas ill reply to you on todays thread they get back next tuesday last few days away at gps before dd starts school. i was up at 4:20 as dp is a posite so i got up with him for a coffee as dcs arent here i always do if kids are away so we get some time together in morning

Jas · 29/08/2007 06:37

Aaah, that is sweet.

Are you dressed? (I'm not)

DS was up for 3 hours in the middle of the night for no apparent reason last night, and I get up with dp at 6 so I'm shattered. I will get dressed when ds wakes up (he is still in our room and I don't want to wake him up)

Has anyone signed up for the emails, or are you all relying on me to tell you what to do?

They are very irritating and sometimes quite sickly imo, but to start off they give you an idea of what to do. They are sent out at US times so you get one at 3am telling ou it is time to go to bed!

Morning well, I was feeling all virtuous and organised (shiny sink, dressed, washing machine/breadmaker/kettle on) until I opened the link I might have to read the reminders later (am in a procrastinating mood - on anti procrastinating day ) DD in the shower so can't swish & swipe yet so cup of tea calls before getting DS up.

iris66 · 29/08/2007 07:09

sorry - forgot to answer you Jas - I've not signed up to e-mails yet (haven't had the time )but I may well do today (but only because I now feel really guilty that you're reminding me of everything and really I should be more proactive )

Jas · 29/08/2007 07:18

It sounds like you are doing fine, Iris. You don't have to do everything in the emails, just read them

I've had a cup of tea, done some paperwork, and got the w/m on.
I'm going to have to go up and get ready now, and ds will just have to sleep later.

Morning all. Have re-registered for emails so will see if it helps me.....

iris66 · 29/08/2007 07:47

whilst this is very satisfying - I am a bit concerned that I'm going to run out of steam (is everyone else's list of jobs to do endless too!! )

tjacksonpfc · 29/08/2007 07:52

yes jas i got dressed when i got up how good am i lol . your not the only one iris i am going to finish of upstairs today then think about downstairs i know im doing it back to front but i had to swap bedrooms around and if i dont get it finished it will remain unfinished for ever lol.

ludaloo · 29/08/2007 08:14

Morning
I re-signed up for the emails last week in the attempt to refresh the basics. I opted for the daily digest emails. I quite like reading them actually.

I do have a list that is endless too....
My only saving grace is I started FLYing a long time ago, so I'm reletively clutter free (and I don't hoard anyway)and my routine is quite well etched on the brain. I have just lapsed and run out of energy/motivation recently. My sink stopped looking shiny and my routines were all slipping. Its even harder when everyone is at home...when my dh is around the house falls into chaos! He makes more mess than the kids, and I loose motivation when he is at home! my routines go out the window.

Well off to get dressed...to shoes I guess (I'm going to invest in some slip on shoes I think...I'm not a fan of flip flops as I like to have socks on....and my slippers don't stand up to wet grass in the mornings)

phdlife · 29/08/2007 08:23

dang, I am feeling SO virtuous -

ds woke us with usual giant poo at 6:20am; it leaked out his nappy through his jams and onto the sheets (yes I know what a lovely way to start the day) so... we got up, he's been cleaned/changed and is back asleep, the washing's on, I'm fed, and into my daytime pj's (as opposed to the ones I slept in ).

my sink is still shiny from last night, do I have to polish it again???

Jas · 29/08/2007 08:31

No, just admire it And make sure it is shiny again before bed tonight.

OP posts:
FunkyGlassSlipper · 29/08/2007 08:39

Dont clean it again....just growl at anyone who tries to sully it

alycat · 29/08/2007 08:49

I've started to keep bottled tap water in the fridge, so as to avoid excessive useage of the sink!

Shined my sink, dressed to the crocs, read your links - I have signed up for emails, but not had a chance to look at those yet. Just off to put the washing on/hang out the load I did overnight.

harleyd · 29/08/2007 08:53

morning
not often do i smile in the mornings but i have a shiny sink! and i have dressed, swished, load of washing, signed up for emails. just cant do the shoe thing, i like bare feet.

tibni · 29/08/2007 08:54

Up dressed and running around trying to get sorted as we all need to be out very soon. Hubby defiled my sink! (tea thrown down!) Will give it a wipe before we go. Wash on line, beds made and swish and swipe done so feeling saintly!

Son up very early so may run out of steam later.

I've not signed up for e mails so yes relying on you Jas. I'm sure ages ago I read on Fly thread that you can have the mails sent UK time -someone posted a link, but i've no idea how.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 29/08/2007 08:54

at alycat.

Right everyone. leson in wearing shoes

and

babysteps, babysteps

Jas · 29/08/2007 09:01

If no-one else finds it for you first, I will hunt down the uk timed emails next week. There is also a non- religious version somewhere but their emails are not as reliable.

I've washed up and got a shiny sink, I'm off to do a bit of work, then out for a picnic in the afternoon. Have a good day all

Jas · 29/08/2007 09:05

FGS You are better at the whole FLY thing than me. I will try and do it properly this time round.

OP posts:
FunkyGlassSlipper · 29/08/2007 09:09

Jas - you're doing great. You have everyone motivated I just happen to know the flylady site pretty well

SlightlyMadShockwave · 29/08/2007 09:21

I wasn't gonna sign up for emails cos you scared me that there were lots....oh well maybe I will give it a go. Can I cancel them or am I doomed forever if I sign up?

Ps.

I have a shiney sink and a bra on ....I am being a good girl.

ludaloo · 29/08/2007 09:27

You can unsubscribe at any time

ludaloo · 29/08/2007 09:33

Actually...I've just realised, my emails are a day behind...

SlightlyMadShockwave · 29/08/2007 09:33

Thing is I am at work all day most days....so will get my emails all at once - so I could be cheeky and rely on Jas giving the info all at once. It won't make any difference.

DO I get this right. I read the emails so I know what I will be doing in the future and get used to reading them. Then I panic. Then I relax cos I can raise my shoed feet to teh sofa and wait until I am told to do everything in hte emails?

SlightlyMadShockwave · 29/08/2007 09:36

Anyway must go....expecting 2 extra children to arrive soon for a playdate.

We are decorating fairy cakes. Then my sink will need shining.

ludaloo · 29/08/2007 09:36

The emails are just reminders I think...you get a baby step reminder...a monthly habit reminder....some testamonials and stories from FLY people....um....sneak previews of the weeks missions....and some other bits and bobs like body clutter tips and things.
