Coffee machines - nespresso, tassimo or other

My nespresso machine is giving up the ghost and as I have money to spend after Christmas I am looking to purchase new machine.
Should I buy another nespresso or tassimo or dolce gusto?
I like nespresso currently (was a wedding present so didn't choose it) as I can buy compatible pods from supermarkets and can make both espresso and long drinks so would like one that can do both of those. Opinions please. Thanks!

I love my Nespresso. I had the dolce gusto before and it was ok but nothing like Nespresso.

Nespresso will recycle the pods. The bags are free and they will collect the bags of pods to recycle.

I think if a Nespresso suits your usage, get one of those and recycle the pods and packaging. They make it quite easy; you can order a recycling bag for free when you order the pods. Nespresso coffee tastes way better than Tassimo.

I think having half an eye on eco is great but let's not forget here that whether it's Nespresso, beans or anything else, we're talking about a product that is grown in (sometimes) quite abusive conditions and flown halfway around the world to get to us here in the UK. There's only so much eco-posturing one can justify with coffee, I feel.

Pod machines don’t make very nice coffee and are very environmentally unfriendly
Get a bean to cup, I love ours

Dd really likes the Tassimo I bought her a year ago.

Bean to cup machines are fine... if everyone likes the same coffee. DH and I like different blends so the Nespresso machine is perfect for us.

I couldn't give Nestlé any of my my money in all good conscience, so I'd say buy a proper coffee machine and ground coffee. Or a French press. Or a Moka.

I love our bean to cup machine. Has a milk island too so can make lattes etc. Can also take ground coffee. Easiest thing ever - plug in milk jug, press button, done. Top coffee beans and water up as needed. I wouldn’t survive our twins without it 😂

Dd likes all the different drinks she can get for the Tassimo so it suits her.
If you're a hard-core coffee drinker, then a bean to cup makes more sense.

Bugger yes, that's why we got our Nespresso instead of a bean to cup as I only drink decaff. However the Aeropress is fine for using different types too. so we've switched to that, the only problem is if you want to make coffee for several people it takes a while.

Recycling aluminium capsules really isn't the most environmentally friendly option.
