KonMari coming to Netflix?

I can’t find confirmation that this will be coming to UK Netflix, but it seems to be.

I think that my 2019 could do with a bit of a return to Kondoing!

I've spent the day clearing through my clothes. 12 bags to charity. This programme is really motivating me.

HalloumiGus · 02/01/2019 22:32

Too much here too Xmasfairy - we can do this!

Scrawny that is great work!

I've done quite a bit of kitchen reorganisation today. Need to get rid of a lot too. It's the most urgent job then will do clothes. Not much to do there.

Xmasfairy86 · 03/01/2019 14:33

Clothes isn’t my issue. It’s just stuff. Lots and lots of stuff. Like 5 kids bikes in the house! We only have 2 kids 😂😂

AHobbyaweek · 03/01/2019 14:46

Anyone know where she gets all those lovely boxes from

AnnabelleLecter · 03/01/2019 15:07

I have watched four in a row!
I'm decluttering now the decorations are down and trying to do a low buying year so looking for inspiration.
I find the folding things bonkers and I tried some boxes last year but everything still ended up messy just inside a box. Still filled two charity bags.

AnnabelleLecter · 03/01/2019 15:08

*except the fitted sheet folding- that was excellent.

scrawnybutscrumptious · 03/01/2019 15:09

I don't know where she gets all her lovely boxes, but I've had a brainwave. Instead of shopping for more stuff, I'm going to sort through the Tupperware and those containers that have no lids will be used inside my wardrobe and throughout the house when organising/filing. I also have a mountain of cardboard from Christmas gifts, so will see if any smaller boxes will be suitable. Might not look pretty but they'll be inside furniture anyway and environmentally better than buying more stuff.

cowfacemonkey · 03/01/2019 15:14

Good idea scrawny plus you may find as you Declutter if you are ruthless you might need less storage and boxes. I started decluttering two years ago and would say I have got rid of about 50% of everything we ever owned. I’ve ended up donating many of the vast amounts of storage boxes I used to buy each new year to “organise” my stuff!

I’ve tried to Kondo my clothes, but I’m finding it so hard. None of my clothes bring me joy! I can’t justify throwing I all out and starting again though... I’m still carrying a bit of extra pregnancy weight so I don’t feel at my best but unsure if it will ever come off. It’s been about 11 months.... help! Any advice from any successful Kondo-ers?

SpikyHedgehogg · 03/01/2019 17:22

I’m similar Stinky, so I’m being a) ruthless and b) giving some joyless items a reprieve with a promise to replace as money allows. I reckon it’s better to have a few pieces that actually fit than lots of too small clothes that make me feel bad.

(Does that make sense?).

StinkySaurus · 03/01/2019 17:37

@Spikey Yea it does! It’s crazy how quickly clothes can pile up. I’ve found clothes I’ve forgotten I had... and I don’t even think I have an excessive quantity... but perhaps I do! Blush

StinkySaurus · 03/01/2019 17:57

I’m loving the show and I’ve seen a few episodes now. One thing that annoys me though is that it always goes from lesson 1 clothes and then skips ahead to lesson 4 miscellaneous.... or am I missing something?

MayFayner · 03/01/2019 18:55

stinky they show lessons 2 & 3 sometimes, it’s papers and books so I guess for some of the subject families those items weren’t a major issue (or maybe a bit boring for the audience?).

Episode 4 or 5 (can’t remember just now) focuses on those items a lot because they are such a huge part of the couple’s respective identities.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 03/01/2019 20:54

@BartonHollow - was that the wooden shoe rack with three shelves? I had something similar from Asda.

I binged watched it al Blush (feeling a bit rough so just lay on the sofa watching!). For boxes in drawers, I have used mobile phone boxes, boxes from perfume gift sets (often very pretty), and (less pretty!) plastic containers that they sell soft fruit or tomatoes in.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 03/01/2019 20:54

*all

BartonHollow · 03/01/2019 21:02

Yes that's the one it was tasteful and not too plasticy

BatshitCrazyWoman · 03/01/2019 21:09

This one from Argos looks like the one I had www.argos.co.uk/product/4237312

BartonHollow · 03/01/2019 21:12
