How to get organised...

Hi,

I need to get my house and life in order.

Can anyone advise on any systems, websites, or books, that could help me out?

I have looked at FlyLady before, but haven't stuck with it.

I have browsed the "household management" books in shops and on Amazon, but there seem to be hundreds of books out there (which being so disorganised I don't have time to read!).

Is there ONE website, or ONE book, that has cleaning, decluttering, and organising tips in ONE place?

Thanks!

mm22bys, I can recommend Deniece Schofield's (yes she really spells it like that) Confessions of an Organised Homemaker. It gave me the kick start I needed after having 4 dcs in rapid succession and desperately wanting to get my house in order. For years I was quoting her to dh and she is good. The only thing is I then bought the Flylady book and tbh find her less intimidating and perfectionist than Deniece (who has a few complicated filing systems etc which I just tailormade to what I could do). She has some brilliant ideas for running a home which had never occurred to me before. Great storage tips. I think if you want to give Flylady another go it's best to get the book which lays it all out better than using website. She is certainly kinder than Deniece and keeps telling you not to expect too much - unlike Deniece! But Deniece very good for getting your life in gear - also got Confessions of an Organized Family (she has FIVE dcs!) Both on Amazon.

Thanks CCM

Are you referring to Sink Reflections?

Happy to hear it all worked for you!

Try www.organizedhome.net

Deniece Schofield also wrote 'Confessions of an Organized Family" - for some reason its much more humerous - Its as though she realised how she was coming across in 'Organsied Homemaker' and she actually admits that things go wrong!
