Veg boxes - how much do YOU get? (sorry I can't think of a natty title for this one)

I've just started ordering a weekly veg box. We get the medium one, supposed to be enough for two for a week. I was just wondering how much of what veg other people get in this size of box. I'm wondering if it's enough to last us for a week tbh.

Depends how much veg you eat normally. We've always got a medium and have always had to top it up even when it was just the two of us.

How much do you get though on average? This week we have:

10 potatoes
8 medium to small carrots
broccoli
one large courgette
cucumber
5 tomatoes
celery
one lettuce
7 or 8 small onions
one red pepper

I thought there might be a bit more. We paid £9.50 and it's organic. AIBU? (to coin a phrase)

I found that ours lasted us better in the winter when it was massive cabbages that would last several meals, than it is now that it's more salady things that you can get through much faster.

We top up a lot.

That sounds par for the course twinkle and I'd agree with Kathy in that they do seem to last longer in winter

OK, I just wondered. I wouldn't want to be ripped off. On the plus side, it seems really good stuff.

The main thing I like with ours is that it's a local scheme with local produce and as you say the quality in ours is excellent.
