i really must go, Ellie has had her lunch. I load of washing just finished in the wm, so going to hang out. Ellie is watching baby signing dvd

ludaloo · 17/04/2007 14:27

You have lots to do tort good luck

shouldbe sounds like DS had a good time helping you My DS would love to do that too...but our lawn mower picks the grass up...and his tractor was taken from the garden he only has the trailer left

ludaloo · 17/04/2007 14:30

Ellie is going to be very good at signing EHM I bet it comes in very handy for you both. My SIL Is deaf, and signs to her friend. The kids are mesmorised!!

shouldbe · 17/04/2007 14:42

for your ds's tractor Luda - every little boy needs a tractor to ride...our mower picks the grass up too but I then had to empty it into ds's trailer/bucket (it's a digger tractor so ds tells me, with a bucket at the front and a trailer at the back) and then he emptied into the verge opposite our house, took ages but was great fun
EHM off to stay on a farm in Cornwall for our hols - there may be real tractors - ds will be a very happy boy

lucyellensmum · 17/04/2007 15:12

FLY? i don't get it, excuse my ignorance but could someone please explain these threads to me, is it sort of motivation for housework? and heres a q how can you do housework with the little ones around, i find it really hard and end up playing with bairn on account of feeling guilty about leaving her, on coffe break now, honest, shes a bed.

Aufish · 17/04/2007 15:52

Well the kick up the backside worked a treat, I thank you Tort. Well my kitchen is now clean and tidy except for a load of washing that is waiting to be done. This is exactly what Flying is about and this thread, its all about finding the motivation to do just little bits of housework everyday and believe me these girls have really spurred me on.

glassslipper · 17/04/2007 15:57

lucyellensmum - Flylady is all about doing housework in small chunks so it isnt overwhelming/mind-numbingly dull. Here are the babysteps that get you started.

well guys, i just got this to try and help dd start waking at 7 rather than 6. the bunny clock didnt work for us as she worked out how to change the time on it. think it will work?

grouchyoscar · 17/04/2007 16:06

grouchy fab your're feeling better but remember babysteps .. don't go too mad running around

Aufish · 17/04/2007 18:32

Yes, I'm back again. Well this is what I have done since getting back from school, really did get a good kick up the backside since I asked.

Last night's dishes washed and dried done
All reading and spellings done
2 loads of washing done
1 load of drying doing in tumble dryer
Showered 2 out of 4 kids, 2 to do
Washing up and drying to be done once kids are showered
Then having a long hot shower once kids in bed followed by ironing and getting DP up for work

shouldbe · 17/04/2007 18:38

Soooo tired.
Did some digging and re-shaping of the front garden after lunch (still a lot more to do though!)then cycled to collect dd from school, she was late out cos she had one of her clubs to go to, biked home then she realised she'd left a toy at school so we had to cycle back to get it! By then it was time to make supper and then rush to catch the late collection at the Post Office - still managed to miss the last post though
Just running them a bath in my ultra-clean bathroom and hopefully they'll be tired enough to settle down quickly at bedtime. Dh is out till late this eve
Better go and check the water - have a good eve all

glitterfairy · 17/04/2007 19:10

shouldbe how is your kitten?

shouldbe · 17/04/2007 19:33

Aww, thanks for asking glitter He's much better today although he is still limping a little. He has some antibiotics to take mixed into his food and we have to take him back at the end of the week because the vet is worrying about the wound becoming infected and possibly causing the joint to become arthritic - which would be awful in a 9mth old kitten
Off for a bath now - I'm shattered! Dh called in and I was and tired and grumpy towards him. he's gone back out now and I'm feeling and guilty....

glitterfairy · 17/04/2007 20:48

Dont feel bad shouldbe its quite reasonable. I think being tired is what parenthood is all about, its a long distance thing requiring stamina and patience in extraordinary amounts.

tortoise · 17/04/2007 20:49

Evening all.
No news from sol so will find out tomorrow whats happenning!
All 4 lunch boxes are done.
DD's clothes are out and spares in a bag.
Drinks done inc mine!
Trousers ironed.
Shirt back in the wash as it has a green possibly paint stain on it. I hope it comes out! I do have anputher short but its a little tight! no shoes in charity shops. Oh well! Feet killing boots it is!

DC are all in bed and my bath is run. i will be going to bed a bit earlier. Will be a while before i can relax and get to sleep!

So nervous and worried and excited and lots of other things! DS2 said to me he hopes he will be back living here very soon. i hope that does happen and xp1 doesn't drag it out longer.

Will let you know tomorrow how it went. Hope to be home by 4 at the latest!!

yaddayah · 17/04/2007 20:56

fingers crossed for you tort shouldbe i've done the same tonight (dh is in the pub after working late again ).. except i don't feel guilty about it

hope you and dh are ok though !

shouldbe · 17/04/2007 20:57

shouldbe · 17/04/2007 20:58
