Morning all

I've had a couple of dys out of the house entertaining the girls, but today is swimming inthe motrning, and nothing in the afternoon, so I'm hopng to catch up on the housework.

Morning to All

I have to try and get DD2 to the doctors today, she has woken up with sticky eyes ....She always gets this after colds. Her cough hasn't shaken off either, so I shall get her looked at.

Apart from that, we are at home today, the sun has come out already so hopefully it might be nice today.

I don't have a list really, just a general clean up. I'd like to take the fire apart and clean it out while the weather is warmer, we haven't had to have it on lately.

I have promised the kids we will make Cress Heads too!

I'm not swimming It's a heavily supervised kids session. I can't take them as I'm not allowed on my own with three, so they only really get to go when it is the holidays and I book them in to this one.

Luda Hope your poor DD is OK My DS gets sticky eye a lot too

I can't believe this but DS is still asleep with DH..last night I slept in the spare room as I haven't had a decent night sleep in weeks. And we gave DS Medised because he was knackered and had a temperature (think he has my cold on top of the teething) - it's the first time we've used it. I am desperate to check if he's OK but don't want to wake him.

Must get loads of housework done today because we have guests coming on Friday for the weekend. We'll see

Good Morning everyone

Still quite cloudy here but not raining yet so hoping to put the kids out to play for a bit this morning while I catch up with the house again...did quite a lot yesterday so not too much to do to today - just want to keep ahead of the mess the lo's create over the hols, no point in try to do any more than that....
I have a desperatly needed haircut this morning, my fringe is starting to cover my glasses. I have a hairdresser who comes to the house so I'll have to hoover and mop the floors afterwards. Then we have some friends coming to play this afternoon

~baking. Luda, tort Does anyone have the choccy version of LDC? Might give it a go with the kids this morning.

That'll do - also have the usual wm/td/dw stuff going on..

NUT I'm sure ds is fine but {{{hugs}}} to you and him, it's so tough when they're poorly.

shouldbe Choc Alternative:

Leave out the Lemons and add 2 tblsp cocoa powder and a little extra milk.
Add 200g bar of plain choc - chopped.
Bake same as lemon cake

Choc Syrup

2 tsp cocoa
250 ml water (maybe a little less)
200g caster sugar

Put all ingredients into a pan for about 5 mins...or until it has reduced to a syrup.
Prick the cake once cooled and pour syrup over the top.

I've never actually tried it though...let me know if it is nice

Have managed to get DD2 in at 11.30 to see the doc, so I will have a quick whizz round before we go!

Luda my two just won't get dressed this morning! I on the other hand, have had a nice long shower, washed and blow dried my hair and am now dressed "to the shoes" (well, to the slippers anyway!)

luda sorry to hear dd2 is poorly.I am going to try make the chic cake this afternoon.Do you think I could use golden syrup?
9nutglad to hear you had a nights sleeps. We use Medised with Ellie has we can put in her bottle, she refuses to take medication from a spoon or syringe.Hope your ds is feeling brighter today.Where are going for Baby Signing?

Everyone who asked - yes we had a lovely day out at the Tower. The sun shone, the kids behaved, and went to sleep as soon as they got back

I've done not much at all yet. DDs are at swimming. I've shopped, and arranged to go out for lunch. I have to pick them up at 11, so I'm going to give ds some snacks to keep him occupied and get started on something...

A very good sunny morning to ALL

The sun is shining and I feel AOK.

Done a bit of flying, Sorting DS out and taking him to school, emptying DW and putting away, sorting out bins for ruubbish and recyelables, phone and online banking, vaccing front room and pegging laundry out.

Just enjoying my MN time now

jelley enjoy your lunch out. Thanks to you & shouldbe I will admit that I had help this morning. Dh went into work at 750 so he had Ellie for about an hour which allowed me to shower, bathroom & do the stuff upstairs.

Anyway just back from Baby Signing last class until end of the month. I am off to give Ellie her Pumpkin & Chicken. Then I'll have a quick bite.

EHM no idea whether you can put Golden Syrup in...but I would give it a go...I make a different choc cake with golden syrup in it. Try 2 tblsp??

It's sunny here too Luda but quite chilly - the kids wanted a picnic lunch in the garden but had to abandon it cos it was too cold. Hope dd2 makes a quick recovery

Hey EHM how's you and Ellie?

Had 3 solid hours where DS has had my undivided attention. He explored the cellar while I cleaned out the cat litter ran ragged round the garden and trashed the contents of the porch but it needed tidying anyway. We also planted some carrot seeds for his veg garden. His little gems have sprouted all ready.

But as my legs started to give up and he wanted to disturb the other neighbours I thought, 'Get him in' ...he's sleepy anyway.

Got a pile of laundry to put away and, errrh, that's it tbh. I will not push myself any further.

It's a lovely day in West Yorks (thankfully) shame we're hiding indoors tbh, Ah well

well i have done two loads of washing and come to a grinding halt. I managed to unload dishwasher tho' ... feeling very yucky ... everyone else seems to be getting through their lists -

Just a quickie, dh is at home so we've been in the garden, no list today, ironing piling up (again!) will be back tommorrow properly grouchy take it easy !

Went for a walk to the river...kids paddled Brrrrrrrr!!! Then we went to feed the donkeys but they weren't out (How inconsiderate! ) Then we went to the shop and bought chocolate!

Back in now to finish my list off.
