Where do you hang your tea towels?

Just got a new kitchen and realised I have no where to hang tea towels! In the old kitchen we had this really annoying rail on a door frame about head height that I hated and thought looked stupid, but now I feel lost without it!

I'm hanging them presently on the handle of my lovely new range cooker, but they are hiding its loveliness and I want to admire it Grin

What do use to hang yours on? Has there been any amazing developments in tea towel hanging equipment I might have missed? I'll be extra grateful if you post a photo!

On the back of the kitchen door. On little hooks.

Chasingsquirrels · 05/06/2017 18:20

Just folded in half over one of the kitchen cupboards next to the sink. I only use one at a time. I only really use them for hand drying so they are never really wet.

Jamhandprints · 05/06/2017 18:22

Over the oven door. What about one of those pull out bar things that goes wherever you have a tiny gap. Do you know what I mean?

DramaAlpaca · 05/06/2017 18:23

On hooks on the side of the kitchen unit my built in oven is mounted in. If they are wet they hang over the oven door handle.

ParadiseLaundry · 05/06/2017 18:27

Jamhand, I do and I probably could have had one as we have spacers between all of the units but our joiner will probably want to murder me if I mention this now!

On the inside of the cupboard below the sink. I have put one of these on the inside of the door.
Works well, holds 2 x tea towels and a small hand towel.

Hanging over cupboard door

NapQueen · 05/06/2017 18:34

Ours are folded and stored on the top level of our ikea trolley. Whichever is in use and sp a bit damp is put over the radiator (rad not on).

Screwtheroses · 05/06/2017 18:35

We have this on the end of our unit near the sink. It was the only thing we kept when we bought the house and ripped the kitchen out. It seems to do the job.

Where do you hang your tea towels?
Letmesleepalready · 05/06/2017 18:35

I bought a rail that fits on the cupboard door. From pound stretchers, or similar shop (can't remember exactly)

Scribblegirl · 05/06/2017 18:35

We have a radiator in our kitchen we keep them on.

Highalert · 05/06/2017 18:35

On a hook on the wall.

SteppingOnToes · 05/06/2017 18:36

On the oven handle or looped through the handle of the cupboard under the sink.

bilbodog · 05/06/2017 18:44

At risk of sounding middle class (see other thread) on the Aga rail 😜

wobblywonderwoman · 05/06/2017 18:51

I have hooks that I bought in poundland in the garden section. They look great. Kind of dark metal in a bird design. They have similar at the moment in stock. We have an open plan kitchen diner so they are on the wall in between both rooms.

RecherchedeTemps · 05/06/2017 18:54

I've stuck some Command Hooks on the inside of the cupboard door under the sink and they live there so they don't spoil the look of my beautiful new kitchen :-)

SpeckledyHen · 05/06/2017 19:05

I don't hang them anywhere - they are stored in a drawer , used once and put into the wash .

hairymuffet · 06/06/2017 17:14

On the back of the kitchen chair Grin

toffeeboffin · 06/06/2017 17:14

On the oven.

MissPollyPops · 06/06/2017 17:32

I have a hand towel over the oven door handle. To dry my hands on. Don't use a dish towel...

kel1234 · 06/06/2017 17:34

On the kitchen radiator

ijustwannadance · 06/06/2017 17:35

Oven door. Heat off oven dries them.

fishfingerSarnies · 06/06/2017 17:36

In a draw use and then put in wash is the theory.... usually have about 5 on the go strewn around for grabbing hot things and dabbing up mess then all get chucked in the wash at the end of the day.

jellyshoeswithdiamonds · 06/06/2017 21:56

On the oven rails.

I don't own oven gloves, prefer using my tea towels to get things out of oven so for me its handy.

HellonHeels · 07/06/2017 12:56

What speckledy hen does. I only use a tea towel once, hate damp teatowels hanging about.
