drop dd2s rainbow uniform with neighbour so she can take her for me

feed everyone (pasta night tonight as I have to feed the girls seperately)

Extra load of washing from DC clothes.Been on trampoline and all muddy/poss some poo on clothes from rolling around on trampoline!
Front room rug also in wash(poo!)
Scrub stairs DS1 went up for a jumper just before going back to his dads.
Kitchen floor scrubbed.

Can anyone tell me which FLY day has the recipe for tort's lemon drizzle cake please?

Marslady's Lemon drizzle cake!

12oz SR Flour.
9oz Sugar.
9oz Butter/Marg.
3tsp Baking powder.
6tbsp Milk.
4 Eggs.
zest of 2 Lemons.

Method.

Mix it all together in a large bowl, popit in a large roasting tin about 180 deg oven for 30-35 mins.(Check it cos different ovens cook at different speeds!) When it comes out the oven prick it with a fork.
Squeeze the juice from the two lemons. Heat in microwave for about 20secs. Spoon 3-4 tbsp over the warm cake. Mix the rest with icing sugar to taste. (or mix granulated sugar with cold lemon juice and poor over the cake for a crunchie topping!

i now feel sick due to multiple biscits and still have to make nutritious dinner for kiddlies/dh

Very busy! Well done you lot! I have been a bit crap today and not got much done...I haven't got the oomph this week.

We have just made pizzas and the kids did their own patterns with sweetcorn, ham and green peppers
They smell lovely!!!

Well had better go and check them, see you all in a while xx

I didn't get back to Monday's thread nor did I come on MN yesterday, so I'm way behind on what is going on. Still, no work tomorrow or Fri so I hope to catch up on the ironing and housework. I've skimmed through this thread in less than a minute so I won't say anymore except hello to all and I'll catch up with you tomorrow.

Oh, also, there is apparently another Ivor on MN. It's not me. I'm JustIvor. I thought I'd mention it in case anyone got confused.

but i have got DD1 some new shoes and made a homemade stew & dumplings for DH. will try and catch up on housework tomorrow although it is swim day so not too hopefuly

Done everything on my list except complete the monster head. Oh and I made his tea.

DS has been a tiresome troublesome individual today. Had 6hrs of him ignoring what I say, bickering and fussing. Now I'm at the 'end of teather' exhaustion. Roll on the end of the holiday! The bloke from NTL who came round to sort out new gizmos was here for 20 mins and said 'how do you cope?' ( how dare he? cheeky bugger) I said I had 2.5 years advanced warning and you get immune to it. Tonight I am not immune! Thank goodness he's in bed.

I'm going to do the lemon drizzle cake 1st thing tomorrow so I can offer it to my friend when she comes round. And if I guff it up I'll offer cherry almond flapjack instead.

I'm sure the lemon drizzle will be fine. It extra nice still warm!

Didn't use flavouring. Got a tub of glace cherries and some flaked almonds.

I'm going to end up doing a Nigella thing and keeping a scrap book of recipes that are not in books!

DH is doing everything else to night and there's a lovely smell of roast chicken whafting out of the kitchen.
