I would imagine something very simple like fairy liquid in v. hot water??

mamama · 20/01/2007 21:14

Yes, soap and water, I should think.

CODNoMore · 20/01/2007 21:14

Thanks MT - I think I've tried that and it didn't exactly bring them up gleaming - DS2 has had his sticky, mucky mitts all over them and they look a bit 'grey'.

Or baby wipes, I use them for virtually everything. Not remotely environmentally-friendly I know but...

Anyway, you do have a life - you're on Mumsnet!

Merlin · 20/01/2007 21:15

OK - I'll try it again and rub a bit harder! (as the actress said to the bishop )

My sister got new windows installed a few weeks ago and the workmen told her to clean them with a dry cloth and a smidge of WD40 - i've tried it and it works and leaves a nice shine-also can be used outside as it helps repel water/muck.

Merlin · 20/01/2007 21:19

ooooh essanel - I just discovered a can of WD40 under the sink so I'll give it a go. Thanks.
