Welcome one and all

I know all about flylady, think she is fab but at the moment feeling too emotionally crippled to cope with the emails, wearing shoes, the huge long threads, the pressure of doing it right.......

so no links to her please

I will get there at some point but for now

For whatever reason that you cry about your house or are scared to start cause there is tooo much to do.

Let s just whinge and try and do a little thing a day if we can

morning to all

morning belgo

sorry to hear your dd's aren't well, you got lots of calamine lotion??

I di actually get rid of no.2 mouse myself cause dh was at work and I was about to pick up dd2. The idea of her finding her chewing on it forced me to deal with it. I put a sandwich bag on my hand and then put my hand in a THICK carrier ag and picked up the trap with mouse attached then turned the bag inside out and ran tot the wheelis bin with it lol

We then caught another one lst night that dh dealt with but I've just checked the trap and there's another one

dd2 is in her highchair having breakfast and then we'll be leaving for the school run soon so I'll sort it later.

I can be brave

Well done TR! I'm impressed.

No calamine lotion, they don't sell it in Belgium.

I have something called eosine, a pink disinfectant to put on the spots, it stains the skin bright pink and won't wash off for days. But everyone uses it for chicken pox here (always know the kids with chicken pox because they have bright pink blotches on them)

nwgreenmum · 19/01/2007 08:21

Moening TR, well done for the mouse [awards medal]. Belgo, pink blotchy children, lol.
I ended up waiting for DH to get back last night as he finished night shift early. So was up at 1.30 sweeping livingroom floor. It looks alot better, but I am knackered.
I've just been into the back garden and found that we have two fence panels down and then been upstairs and the doorhandle to our room came off in my hands . DH will be sent to BnQ when he gets up me thinks... RIght, off to prepare to walk to school.

TrinityRhino · 19/01/2007 08:54

morning nwgreen

sorry but PMSL at you door handle falling off in your hand

you had the bad weather then, hope nothing else is damaged

well school run is done, now I just have to remember that the shopping is coming between 11am and 1pm and then I've got to pay the fine at the council offices

Morning all!
well 20 minutes after ds fell asleep he was up again. dh wen tup to settle him, cue screams!
i decided that i was not going to feed him as he just wanted it to go back to sleep. so he cried and screamed for an hour!! but eventually he fell asleep. that's one for me. he's still winning the war though!!
so far today i have...had breakfast and fed ds. it's a start anyway!
dishwasher needs emptying, so does the dryer and the washer.
i think i might go out today though. weahter looks ok. and if i stay in i'll inevitably end up ignoring ds and playing on the 'puter!
also if i stay in i'll nurse him to get him to sleep for his nap. it's got to stop!

TrinityRhino · 19/01/2007 09:11

morning purple

dd has just started being unbeleivably clingy, grumpy and has just thrown the biggest tantrum becaus she wouldn't take her medised off a spoon so I had to syringe it inot her...boy she did not like that

she has crept up to me now and snuggled in... bless

I feel for you purple, how old is your ds. If I was still bf (dd weaned herself at 9 months) then I would still be nursing her to sleep, as it is, she just doesn't really go to sleep much lol

OP posts:
purplemonkeydishwasher · 19/01/2007 09:13

he's 16 months. i pray for him to self wean. not that i'm necessarily ready to stop BF but i just know that somewhere down the line we're going to have a hellish time.
how old is your dd?

TrinityRhino · 19/01/2007 09:14

she's 21 months

morning.

belgo - antihistamine does more for itchy cp than any lotions, if you can get some.
Hpe they are ok.

We overslept this morning (I was up with ds from 12-2am) Right now, I'd be happy if feeding him put him back to sleep. but it doesn't work any more.

I have got the dds to school, so we are all dressed.
I also hung nappies up last night, but ds pulled most of them ont the floor when he was up, so I'm off to rehang, and put next load of washing on.

ok well I'm here - sort of - been up since 9.30 yesterday morning (worked last night) and havent't been able to sleep this morning as DH had a meeting.

I want to get some stuff done - to stop myself falling asleep and letting DS2 trash the house LOL - but still haven't completely decided what.......first thing I'm going to do - like NOW - is go and change out of my work uniform (got home 3hrs ago ), get DS2 dressed (he got up about 2 1/2hrs ago) and go to Morrisons......

TrinityRhino · 19/01/2007 10:23

Wintersun · 19/01/2007 10:25

Thanks Purplemonkey for inviting me here.
Well I've cleaned the bathroom, taken laundry out and put more in. Need to tidy up and hoover.
I'm normally ok at all this housework malarky but I've extended my working hrs temporarily and now I'm too tired to do anything.
Need constant kicks up the butt.

fannyannie · 19/01/2007 10:26

like I said I can't promise I'll have much to report - still have another 10hrs before I can go to sleep..........but anyhow - even DS2 is telling me "You've had enough on the computer" so I'd better get off for now.

prettymum · 19/01/2007 10:31

can i join please!! i need a lot of encouragement because my flat is a tip and im avoiding it!

ItsMeMellowma · 19/01/2007 10:33

Morning all, sorry I am a little later logging on. Been up since 6.20am with dS2 so have been cleaning all morning.

Had to nip to chemist to buy some lemsip tablets for sore throat and cold [yuck]!!

So far I have cleaned the whole kitchen and bathroom, fridge, bin in bath with some flash, took down blinds in kitchen and they are having a wee bath too.

DS1 home early today so have decided to sit and have a cup of team before the madness starts at 12.00pm !!

How are we all today??

TrinityRhino · 19/01/2007 10:36

welcome wintersun and prettymum

hope we help in some way

what are your little bits you want to do today?
I'm still just making sure I put the shopping away when it's come and then paying a fine at the council

feel a bit sore today, I'm sure the baby is trying to beat me up from the inside

OP posts:
TrinityRhino · 19/01/2007 10:37

Well done

ItsMeMellowma · 19/01/2007 10:38

Are you having home birth or hospital birth?

Wintersun · 19/01/2007 10:44

Ooh Congratulations Trinityrhino!
When are you due?

I'm still here when I really should be tidying up and hoovering. I need to shower and pop down to Tesco's.
I thought I'd bake a cake too but perhaps I'm being a bit too ambitious.

Mellow - you've done loads! You deserve to put your feet up.

nwgreenmum · 19/01/2007 10:45

Morning again. Well DD has just fallen asleep, and DH has got up and been dispatched to BnQ for doors. THankfully the fence panels that blew away are now back in place. I have to put some washing on (My washing machine is making really worrying noises and I think the bearings are going to give up ), might hang some washing out and see if it blows away and I have to get stuff ready for visiting my M and D this weekend.
Trinity - still can't believe how much you are doing with only a couple of weeks to go - In the last weeks before DD was born I didn't feel up to anything! Defo no more for me, I am now too old to be pg I have decided
