Welcome one and all

I know all about flylady, think she is fab but at the moment feeling too emotionally crippled to cope with the emails, wearing shoes, the huge long threads, the pressure of doing it right.......

so no links to her please

I will get there at some point but for now

For whatever reason that you cry about your house or are scared to start cause there is tooo much to do.

Let s just whinge and try and do a little thing a day if we can

morning to all

Can I join? FLYlady has got to big to follow and I don't really FLY very well - I do more bursts of effort I might have a burst and scrub my bathroom ~ DH is kitchen obsessed and prefers me cleaning that if I clean anything, but, as a result the bathroom is a little neglected... Just need to muster some enthusiasm though...

TrinityRhino · 19/01/2007 13:03

Welcome quootie

I know exactly how you feel
I still haven't put the rest of the shopping away, I keep walking past it. Feel a bit rough at the mo
the baby seems to be much lower in my tummy and I've been to the loo (bit soft, sorry TMI) about 3 times today. just want to crawl into bed, keeo getting lots of braxton hicks which are quite sore.

Both boys in now. DS1 playing with laptop DS2 throwing toys at ds1 head

He is real pita today. I took him to shops before collecting DS1 from school. He is very tall for 2 stretched down to put his feet on the floor and started pushing his buggy along backwards in the shop

I was getting lots of sympathetic smiles but am just pi$$ed off with his behaviour atm.

Last load of washing in and I finally got my new book I ordered from Amazon a week ago.

belgo · 19/01/2007 13:05

TR - how many weeks are you pregnant? Could this housework thread become a labour thread?

ItsMeMellowma · 19/01/2007 13:05

So0unds like you are perhaps having a little clear out (TMI Alert!!) before labour and perhaps these sharp bursts are you nesting!!!

belgo · 19/01/2007 13:06

mellowma - my dd has done that trick pushing the pram backwards - it's quite surprising how far she can get before I notice

Quootiepie · 19/01/2007 13:07

I didn't realise you were PG trinity! COngratulations

I only unpacked the meat and milk from the shoppping yesterday I just kept thinking "in a minute". I am going now to shower and clean the bathroom before DS wakes from his nap. It's abit sunny here so it's giving me abit of enthusiasm I shall give myself until... 2pm. Off I go!

ItsMeMellowma · 19/01/2007 13:09

Its very he was screaching at the top of his voice too the little fecker ... He then proceeded to jump into the puddles at DS1 school at everyone was looking at him/me AGAIN with sympathy!!

Thing is....he DOES NOT listen to me AT ALL!! He is full of fun but a flaming nightmare too.

I am generally quite a shy person and like to keep myself to myself but he insists on drawing attention to us and I usually end up standing blushing furiously

TrinityRhino · 19/01/2007 13:11

sorry guys, didn't realise you didn't know I was pregnant
I'm due in 2 weeks

I do have irritable bowel syndrome though so it may just be a bit of trouble with that.

OP posts:
Wintersun · 19/01/2007 13:11

Well, I've still not done living room or hoovering but ds has been fed, played with and put down for a nap.
I'm now going to put the 2nd laundry load to dry, have some lunch then hoover and Tesco's when ds wakes up.

nwgreenmum · 19/01/2007 13:27

Trinity - Put your feet up! I still have a bag on my kitchen floor from SUNDAY (It only has onions in it).

Mellow - He sounds like a real live wire

One load folded (yep - they are all STILL on the dining table), one load on line, one on airer, one in dryer (I Do try noy to tumble, but it is just for 5 mins to completely dry them after the line and it saves on ironing )

dd awake again! Typing with one fingerrr

Quootiepie · 19/01/2007 13:39

Yay - bathroom scrubbed The stink from the Cif has forced me out, so will shower in abit. Had a bath last night so am clean anyway

MummyPenguin · 19/01/2007 13:45

I've just had a little burst of effort. Have washed up, cleaned round kitchen, hoovered downstairs, washed laminate floor (all downstairs.) Generally tidied round a bit, shaken out throws on sofa and armchair and shaken out hairy dog beds. Just having a brew and a quick peek on MN, then I'm going to polish, and then probably sit on my arse a bit more until I go to the school, as I don't want to face upstairs just yet

belgo · 19/01/2007 13:46

mummypengiun - you fraud - that's far more then a little burst of effort

fannyannie · 19/01/2007 14:24

woohoo - been to Morrisons - which also means I'm changed - and because my tights I have to wear for work get so sweaty and horrible it also means I've got a load of washing in the machine

nwgreenmum · 19/01/2007 14:31

OK - loose tile that came off last night is back in place, and the new bedroom door is almost hung (though the drilling and banging woke up SS)...

.... Oh OK, I admit it, that is what DH has achieved

fannyannie · 19/01/2007 14:40

right - off to put my shopping away now - it's all dumped in the middle of the kitchen - and hang the washing around the house - then I'll grab the digital camera and start taking some snaps of stuff to stick on e-bay - oh and of course not forgetting to pick DS1 up from school in just over 30 minutes LOL

Wintersun · 19/01/2007 14:43

I'm so tired. I haven't moved from here and have just eaten about 6 biscuits, hoping for a burst of energy but, alas, no.

Off to go have a shower. Maybe that'll wake me up.

I am so thankful that this is a temporary situation and I don't have to work 4 days/full time permanently.
I don't know how all those working mothers do it.

TrinityRhino · 19/01/2007 14:45

sooooooooo proud of myself

I put dd2 in the car and we drove to town to pay the fine, i know it's not much but I could really have just sat on my arse instead

OP posts:
fannyannie · 19/01/2007 14:45

Wintersun - I know how you feel (re being tired) - I've been up since 9.30am yesterday morning (worked last night - a long 9 1/4hr shift mostly on my feet) and I can't get to bed until after the boys are in bed at 8pm tonight. Really healthy (not ) when you're nearly 20 weeks pg LOL

TrinityRhino · 19/01/2007 14:48

oooh fanny, i didn't realise Congratulations

OP posts:
TrinityRhino · 19/01/2007 15:02

Good luck Rhino! Looking forward to hearing about little rhino in due course!

(hope you don't mind if I don't join your tidying club though)

purplemonkeydishwasher · 19/01/2007 15:11

jusy got back from the shops. ds slept the whole time!
i think you're all a good influence on me - i came home to a (reasonably) tidy house!

welcome quootie - anyone notice that it's a similar crew to the isketch gang?!!

ItsMeMellowma · 19/01/2007 15:12

I just managed to have a little 30 mins in bed with ds2. Now DS1 has decided he is off out with his little friends for an hour so I had to get up!!
