Welcome one and all

I know all about flylady, think she is fab but at the moment feeling too emotionally crippled to cope with the emails, wearing shoes, the huge long threads, the pressure of doing it right.......

so no links to her please

I will get there at some point but for now

For whatever reason that you cry about your house or are scared to start cause there is tooo much to do.

Let s just whinge and try and do a little thing a day if we can

morning to all

ItsMeMellowma · 18/01/2007 11:48

OH No! Methinks I scared Trinity off her own thread!! Its okay I am not going to visit you, its too cold!!!!

Cappuccino · 18/01/2007 11:50

Trinity!

I started a thread for you at 9am this morning

I thought you were missing and lost and worried about you

and you were here all along

purplemonkeydishwasher · 18/01/2007 11:52

right. ds and I are showered and dressed.
next goal. empty dishwasher. and lunch.

belgo · 18/01/2007 11:56

well done purplemonkey!!

theUrbanDryad · 18/01/2007 12:01

i'm not even out of bed. was going to, then found this thread.

i need to: take clean washing off the dryers, put wet clean washing on dryers, put next load of washing in machine. wash up. think about some lunch.

maybe even get dressed possibly even.....a shower? dare i?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 18/01/2007 12:04

tbh the only reason that i bothered with the shower was because ds got some porridge in his hair and it's easier than filling the bath.
though i do feel slightly better for it.

ItsMeMellowma · 18/01/2007 12:05

Okay thats me dressed.

Off the get ds2 dressed. Have put cushion covers on cushions. Still not cleaned living room floor as it has toys scattered over it atm.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 18/01/2007 12:21

dishwasher emptied. and refilled.

theUrbanDryad · 18/01/2007 12:21

still idle - got caught up in a chat thing on msn....

damn msn.....

ItsMeMellowma · 18/01/2007 12:22

still idle too.

I don't think of you as a man anymore urbandryad - since you have had your baby

How is he?

nwgreenmum · 18/01/2007 13:01

RIght. [purposeful look].
DD is napping so I am going to continue my 'crusade' down the hall, though I will have to wait to hoover until she is back up.
TR, I think this thread is great, and positive, and it doesn't have a moany title. Mind you, it wouldn't matter if it did - people supporting each other is one of the many positive things I have found on here.
The wind is so loud I am convinced that my roof is going to blow off .

TrinityRhino · 18/01/2007 13:44

hey all, sorry HV came (mines nice BTW so it was nice to see her lol) and then I had to pick dd2 up. HMM, I haven't emptied the dishwasher but thats ok, will do shortly.... I think

Cappucino, thats sooo sweet thankyou

Mellow, no you didn't scare me off, it would be lovely to have a visit.

(can't remeber where you live, so not sure if you are totally joking on partly serious)
I've never met a mumsnetter and you seem like a nice one to meet

Okay, now I have been to shops, done 2 washing and hung them around various places in the house and very quickly cleaned floor.

Took ds to shops and he thoroughly embarrased me by shouting "Hiya Mate" to every male who passed us, must speak to dh about teaching him to say it.

We would definately arrange something for when it gets a nicer and once you have had your baby girl/boy and are all settled.

I just have to pick ds1 up from school and thats me home for rest of the day, thankfully.

pippah · 18/01/2007 16:57

Ahh, I should have spotted this thread before I ;osted on the FLY thread.

I have an 8 week old DS2 and so am feeling like I need a medal for geting anything done at the moment.

Today, I wanted to make a bean chilli for dinner - done! YAY!

I am now going to try and make tea for DS1...

theUrbanDryad · 18/01/2007 17:11

hey - my mum came round this afternoon and did the washing up while i did the laundry.

she even brought lunch! aren't mum's fab?

haven't got dinner sorted as such, but freezer is still stocked with ready meal goodness.

ds is doing well mellowma - there;s an amusing picture (well, i think it's amusing) here he's put on 1lb in 12 days!! such a porker!!

nwgreenmum · 18/01/2007 18:03

DD has not slept much for the rest of today [sigh] so my dining table is still covered with clothes. DH also woke up (he is on nights this week) and I actually got less done while he was around. The wind was horrid so I made DS1 go to school to pick up DS2. Pasta bake is nearly done so here goes the evening chaos of feeding/bathing/bedding.
OMG - the radio just said that 2 yr old boy was killed in North London cos of the winds - how horrid.

TrinityRhino · 18/01/2007 19:58

I have put todays nappies in the wash with some of dd2's clothes and will hang them to dry before I go to bed. I have emptied and filled the dishwasher. dh then came home and cleaned the worktops and hob which was really nice.

how is everyone?

OP posts:
Jelley · 18/01/2007 20:04

this thread got long when I wasn't looking.

I think we all deserve a sit down. I got the washing up done, and wiped down the kitchen so it looks ok. I've just put a nappy wash on, too.

I'm going to try and settle dsin to bed now.

nwgreenmum · 18/01/2007 20:34

Still clothes all over dining table, but both DS2 and DD are in bed. DS1 has gone out to play pool with his friends.
Peace.
Only trouble is that now DD is asleep in our room so I can't put away those clothes that I have folded, and I have realised that the nappy wash from this morning is still in the machine.
At least the horrid wind has gone.
Right... Nappies... [wanders off]

purplemonkeydishwasher · 18/01/2007 20:35

ds is in bed. (we'll see how long that lasts!)
dishwasher needs to be emptied again but i think i'll leave that til tomorrow.
we all did well today trinity, thanks to you!
see you tomorrow for another day of monotonous drudgery?

TrinityRhino · 18/01/2007 22:22

must hang the nappies out before bed

night night

Good morning

We have now caught 3 mice and I haven't checked the trap yet this morning (bit early ).

I have shooping odered from tesco that will be coming this morning so I have to be ready for that and put it all away so we can find everything. I also have to go and pay a fine at the council offices (not sure where they are so that will be fun)

After the nappy wash finished last night and I hung them out to dry, I even put in another load of dh's work clothes and they are in the dryer as we speak

Hope all are well, we haven't had the bad weather everyone has been talking about and I can't remember where everyone lives...so I hope everyone is ok

OP posts:
belgo · 19/01/2007 07:59

TR - are you dealing with the dead mice yourself?

I don't think I'm going to get much housework done today, as my older dd has got the chicken pox and I suspect my younger one will develop it shortly, as she seems a bit ill.
