Welcome one and all

I know all about flylady, think she is fab but at the moment feeling too emotionally crippled to cope with the emails, wearing shoes, the huge long threads, the pressure of doing it right.......

so no links to her please

I will get there at some point but for now

For whatever reason that you cry about your house or are scared to start cause there is tooo much to do.

Let s just whinge and try and do a little thing a day if we can

morning to all

belgo · 23/01/2007 17:46

Hi everyone, haven't had any bursts of energy today, except to do the bare basics, as I have a cold and the children are still ill with chicken pox! Hopefully see you tomorrow...

ItsMeMellowma · 24/01/2007 07:08

TR - think you need a rest today!

ItsMeMellowma · 24/01/2007 09:20

I think we should all rest today, its mid-week, very tiring.......ands it the end of January, very depressing!!

belgo · 24/01/2007 09:28

agree absolutely mellowma

ItsMeMellowma · 24/01/2007 09:49

Okay thats the on-line shop for this week sone. NO more shopping for me...we shall survive on cupbard foods until Friday delivery.

Might have to spend some time in DS bedroom today..DS2 fell over a toy last night and has a huge black eye this morning...so I am going in to tidy it out today...

ItsMeMellowma · 24/01/2007 09:50

sorry about my typing .... I type too quick and don't check!

Wintersun · 24/01/2007 10:24

Morning everyone.
Good thinking Mellowma. I am feeling tired today too.
I have cleaned the kitchen and switched on the dishwasher. I don't particularly feel like doing anything else.
The living room is quite clean and tidy and I cleaned the bathroom last night.
Essential jobs that need to be done today are;
Have a shower.
Laundry to put away (from Sunday!).
Supermarket shopping.
Dinner to cook - I don't know what to cook! whats everyone else cooking today? could do with some inspiration.
The snow is lovely this morning. I am tempted to take ds to the park to marvel at the snow.

CocoLoco · 24/01/2007 10:25

Hello everyone, thanks for the welcome

I have absolutely no excuse for not achieving anything today as DD is at nursery and I'm all alone in the house. So why am I on the sofa with my laptop?

Aims for the day: do the kitchen so DH doesn't make me feel guilty by doing it when he gets in from work. Also tackle vast heaps of laundry lying around everywhere, including the stuff that doesn't have anywhere to go (sheets, outgrown clothes etc - I have no idea where to store outgrown clothes, and we have so many of them, it's insane)

Congrats on winning the spa break Mellowma, sounds fab! TR - definitely sounds like you should rest today.

nwgreenmum · 24/01/2007 11:25

I had a lie in today (until 8.20) cos I took DS2 to the doctors at 10 instead of school at 8.50. Just got back as I have been to shops on the way so I have walked for AGES. Wintersun - I am doing beef stew with dumplings (just been to butchers)
Today I am going to SORT OUT CLOTHES and tidy the kitchen.

fannyannie · 24/01/2007 12:11

Good morning (or are we just into the afternoon now??).

Anyhow - having a good day so far today - my dirty laundry basket is............EMPTY.
My ironing basket is.............EMPTY.
The washing machine has finished today's load and it just needs hanging up - and that's all I can do with that today.

Still need to put away all the clothes I've ironed last night/this morning but it feels REALLY good that I'm so uptodate with it all.

Going to clean the fireplace out this afternoon (we have a real fire and although we're out of coal so no chance of a fire tonight it'll be nice to have it ready to use).
Also have to clean the grill pan that's been sat soaking since Monday night .

then I WILL get some more stuff sorted to go onto ebay - oh and I think I'll try and write my shopping list for tomorrow morning too.

Also need to make the boys beds, cook their dinner and make sure they're in there PJ's ready to zoot over to choir practice with me later this evening (they go to bed at 8 usually - and choir practice is 7-8 and as the church is only across the road they don PJ's, jacket and shoes and come with me - then jump into bed as soon as we're back LOL).

Oh - and then I'm working tonight - urghhh

nwgreenmum · 24/01/2007 12:50

fannie - well done with the washing . DS2 has bedwetting problem so I never seem to be up to date (oh and having 5 people in the house doesn't help). Have just put on load of nappies and hung stuff out and put nearly dry stuff in for a v quick tumble.

PeckaRolloverAgain · 24/01/2007 15:44

Hi everyone

Can I join you for a little burst of effort?

House a general mess and need to get off my ass!

Off to do kitchen (again grrrr)

belgo · 24/01/2007 16:28

welcome Pecka - and good luck with the kitchen!

fannyannie · 24/01/2007 20:05

ok - most of the clothes are now put away (well all the boys ones are - mine are still sat on our bed - but at least they've migrated upstairs LOL).

The boys are both tucked up in bed too, after being fed and dragged to choir practice.

The kitchen is now also nearly tidied up after cooking dinner - just need to clean the grill pan and wipes the worktops down.

Haven't cleaned out the fireplace - not sure whether I'll do that today or not now - and I may at least start on a shopping list for tomorrow I suppose.....then it'll be changing into uniform and off to work in 1 1/2hrs!

Oh - and I had to do an extra load of washing tonight (currrently in machine) as DS1 came home from school with his jacket COVERED in mud - someone pushed him over in the playground............

TrinityRhino · 26/01/2007 08:04

OOOps I let this slip a bit sorry

Having a bad day today so far
dd2 woke at 1am and hasn't really slept sine
she seems to have red cheeks, maybe her back teeth are coming through
at the moment I don't have much hope for today but will try and pick up the front room, makes me feel better when the kids have space to play.

mouse count is 6 so far

little sods

how is everyone else doing?

OP posts:
purplemonkeydishwasher · 26/01/2007 08:21

good morning trinity! (and everyone!)
I'm sorry that you had such a bad night.
I think teeth are the work of the devil. Everytime we start making headway with DS's sleep....TEETH! Stupid buggery teeth.
Try to get some rest today (liek you need to be told that!) sit on your arse and if anyone questions you you just tell them that I said it okay.

I was so proud of myself yesterday I hoovered the mainfloor (well most of it) while carrying DS - he's still scared of the vacuum!

today we're going into Edinburgh to meet up with DH and have a look around. Just need to get out of Falkirk for the day!! And I'm going to mail off my citizenship application [fingers crossed!!]
so I have to load and start the dishwasher before i go.

now off to feed the little 'un.

Have a good day!!

ItsMeMellowma · 26/01/2007 08:22

Not a lot happening here today.DS2 black eye is HUGE, really bad, I am so ashamed...

Why can't I have eyes in the back of my head.....

Ned to do some ironing and washing at some point before 1pm....Shopping is coming today, I hope.....

A litte bit pissed off today tbh, I have applied for about 5 jobs and heard either nothing or NO!! WTF!! ...and the jobs I am doing atm, no-one seems to pay me!

Nevermind perhaps something will come in the post today!!

RANT OVER...........

Hope you are all well today...Trinity you need to relax and do nothing today...I hate teething...

purplemonkeydishwasher · 26/01/2007 10:02

Poor DS2 Mellowma!

Well, you guys have been a good influence on me. lately I've been getting stuff done!

so far this morning we are fed washed and dressed. I have loaded and started the dishwasher and put a load of laundry in! hooray for me!

Now we're off to Edinburgh. Hope you all have a good day!!

PM xx

nwgreenmum · 26/01/2007 12:37

Hello all - glad that we are back.
Trinity do get some rest. The mouse thing doesn't sound good but if it makes you feel any better MIL has RATS (yeuch). They are converting some barns next to her and have destroyed the rats home so they now have them living under their compost heap and hen house!
I haven't posted on here for a couple of days - partly because of the sound of tubleweed that greeted me every time I put my head round the door , and partly because I have been captivated by some HUGE threads from Nov/Dec (NatilyJanes am I in labour)
Ho humm. Dishwasher on, washing up nearly done, time to clean out the fridge [brave faced emoticon]
Mellow - poor old DS

TrinityRhino · 26/01/2007 12:39

NOOO step away from the fridge

god you are brave, I am so not going there
