Welcome one and all

I know all about flylady, think she is fab but at the moment feeling too emotionally crippled to cope with the emails, wearing shoes, the huge long threads, the pressure of doing it right.......

so no links to her please

I will get there at some point but for now

For whatever reason that you cry about your house or are scared to start cause there is tooo much to do.

Let s just whinge and try and do a little thing a day if we can

morning to all

purplemonkeydishwasher · 22/01/2007 10:38

i'm leaving now.
Trinity better have reported in by the time i get back!!!!

nwgreenmum · 22/01/2007 10:56

Morning all. I came down to a clean kitchen too . Have put another load in washer and hung out a load on the line. DD is napping now so I might actually get to eat my porridge.
Purple - ewwww at the dog sick but Yay for tidy kitchens
belgo - Hope your DD is feeling better and that she lets you get some rest today- mine always seemed to recover after a sleepless night, I would be knackered and they would run me ragged doing wall of death round the living room
Trinity - where are you? Have you gone in labour and forgotten to let us all know ?

belgo · 22/01/2007 11:06

Thanks for the sympathy for dd!

UCM, hope you're feeling ok, what with your bump and cast on yout foot.

TR - where are you!

TrinityRhino · 22/01/2007 12:25

Morning wonderful 'eneregy burst' friends

I'm sorry I left you all hanging but I managed to be really together this morning and haven't had time to come on here

I am still with child BUT my headache is gone.....thank goddness for that.
I hoovered the frontroom last night and tidied and it was lovely to come down to a tidy front room and I'm sure it helped me to be positive this morning.
I'm still managing to remember to put the nappy wash on and all is going well with them. Dh put the dishwasher on so the kitchen didn't look too bad either
I had MW app this morning and then when I got home my famliy worker arrived so no time to MN lol

purple- sorry to hear about the dog puke

belgo- hope dd feels better soon,, it's awful when they aren't well

cadmum- welcome to the madhouse

UCM-which did yu decide on, probably the kitchen cause you need to use that and it's probably the one you would rather not do so get it over and done with first

not going to do much this afternoon but I am looking to try abd pack a labour bag and mention to dh that maybe we need to think about getting the crib down from the loft.

UCM · 22/01/2007 12:33

Nah craft room and I am still in it, sitting on here. I have swept a pile of rubbish into the middle of the room and tidied workbench however. My next problem is that I can't bend down to put the rubbish in a bag/dustpan

Glad headache receded you had a nice room to come down to. I definitely agree that it gives you a lift.

TrinityRhino · 22/01/2007 12:42

oh UCM, you have a cast and a bump, take it easy. I forgot that was you that had both bump and cast.

Sounds like you made a good start, don't hurt yourself trying to get trid of rubbish, that can wait for dh can't it?

CocoLoco · 22/01/2007 13:35

Can I join in please?

My house was horrendous - we moved 3 months ago and have boxes everywhere and not enough storage - but I got the boot up the arse I needed on Saturday when one of DH's friends turned up to visit with only half an hours's notice! So the living room is reasonably tidy now. And yesterday I did one of the kids' bedrooms thoroughly (pulled furniture out to vacuum and all!) But now I need to keep the momentum going, and achieve something every day .

Unfortunately I do have a really high tolerance of mess having been brought up in a house which was a tip - and I just can't motivate myself to do Flylady routines.

belgo · 22/01/2007 14:14

Welcome Cocoloco!

belgo · 22/01/2007 14:51

Finally I have had a little burst of energy and cleared away the duplo, only for it to be replaced by the Little People. Why do I bother clearing away toys in the middle of the day? Why don't I just wait until the kids have gone to bed?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 22/01/2007 15:32

I'm back.

TR - i'm glad that you are here and your headache has gone!

UCM - you should leave the rubbish for someone else to pick up.

belgo - i know what you mean about the toys. i'm often tempted to take a picture of our living room tidied just so that DH will believe that I tidied it. I swear i do it a dozen times a day. which begs the question: Why do I bother?!!

So after our class I went for coffee with friends then walked around the shops. Now i'm back and I should do something. but DH isnt home til 6 tonight (usually home at 430) so i don't have the incentive of making it look like i've done something today!!

Maybe i'll make him a nice dinner. then he won't notice what I haven't done!!

nwgreenmum · 22/01/2007 15:50

Welcome Coco,
Glad you are OK Trinity.
Well DD has hardly slept today and has not wanted to be put down very much so my bursts have been minimal
I have now sent DS1 out with DD to pick up DS2
So have stripped beds, hung more washing out and tried finding some new nappies on Ebay.
Tonight I HAVE to list some of my bamboozles so that I can buy some bigger ones. I was away for the weekend so don't have much in to cook for dinner, so I might just do baked potatoes

fannyannie · 22/01/2007 16:40

right I'm now ready to join you for the rest of the day (I worked last night so was asleep in bed until lunchtime, then dozing on the sofa until 3pm before getting DS1 from school and then spent 1 1/2hrs making phonecalls trying to find a friend to sit with DS2 tomorrow when I got for my scan!)- hence my 'day' only really just starting).

Anyhow - so far I've done my last load of washing and am now about to go and hang it over the radiators and other 'hanging places' to dry. Then I shall cook dinner and perhaps do some ironing. Need to make DS1's bed too and probably tidy the dining room table (well the end we don't use to eat at LOL) so I can start a jigsaw puzzle tonight - now I've got my nice new Jigsaw Roll to store it in.

TrinityRhino · 23/01/2007 13:39

COoooooooooooooooooeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
where is everyone

I know...I haven't been here either lol

dd2 goes to nursery on a tuesday morning so I had a nap and chilled out whilst she was there. Just got back from picking her up and having a little mn till I need to get dd1 in an hour

ItsMeMellowma · 23/01/2007 13:44

Sorry I was unsure if we were having any little bursts today

I am waiting on my shopping, which was supposed to be here between 12pm-1pm but they called to say will now be between 1-2.30pm....I need to pick up DS1 at 2.50 so they had better be quick!!!

Got a £10 e voucher though, so can take that off next weeks shopping....

I am also waiting on a man calling me for Telephone Interview....which was also supposed to be at 1pm.....

Did you see I won a spa day Fantastic, I never win anything, usually.

Glad your headache has gone

TrinityRhino · 23/01/2007 13:49

ooh congrats, a spa day wow that would be lovely

Hope you shopping comes soon

whats your telephone interview for??

OP posts:
nwgreenmum · 23/01/2007 14:18

Hi trinity, hi mellow. I am having a day off from trying to get much done today. The one thing I am doing is loads of washing, cos it is such a nice day and I can hang it out.
My excuse for day off is that we all have colds, it is DS1s 18th birthday (oh god I feel old) and I have a TV scan this PM to see if they can find my mirena coil (so am unreasonably but undeniably stressed )

nwgreenmum · 23/01/2007 14:19

I will be back to shout random words of encouragement though

ItsMeMellowma · 23/01/2007 14:20

Telephone interview is for a job I applied for last week, I applied for 6 so am unsure which one it is exactly..

Shopping is now not coming until later tonight....I need to go and get DS from schoool and they cannot deliver before ...so will need to be later now.

Breathe.......

Never mind Been waiting on my flaming washing powder all day ffs!!

Okay off to get ds and go get washing powder.xx

TrinityRhino · 23/01/2007 14:21

sorry nwgreenbut ....find your mirena coil?????????? when did you lose it?? I am assuming it is still inside you, sorry if you don't want to share but that sounds scary, are you ok?

OP posts:
nwgreenmum · 23/01/2007 14:29

Oh - I've had it in since March 2005 (DD born August 2006 ) Quite a laugh really as I didn't find out I was Pg until 20 weeks (Mirena stops periods quite often, no other symptoms apart from gaining weight ). Of course it might have come out during birth, but no-one spotted it...

TrinityRhino · 23/01/2007 14:30

goodness me, that is a little odd, hope they sort it out

OP posts:
nwgreenmum · 23/01/2007 14:32

Sure it will be

ItsMeMellowma · 23/01/2007 15:26

Oh hope they find it!!

Shopping is now not coming....I bloody well canceling it ....I need to do some washing and cannot wait until tonight so had to go and withdraw money and buy some shopping so will have to try re-order tommorrow when more money goes into account.....

Why is nothing simple.....???

I am still waiting on this stupid man calling me about a job....although the mood I am in I may be better just not answering

nwgreenmum · 23/01/2007 17:28

Not found so they think it isn't there any more. But they told me that everything looks healthy so
Just trying to decide whether to take DC out for dinner for DS1s birthday.
