My loo seat has gone yellow, can I get it white again?

Just that, really. It looks fine when closed, but when it's up you can see that the edge which sits on the pan has yellowed. I am thinking that'll be wee (small children).

Ordinary Flash isn't touching it. What else is worth trying?

Its probably stained beyond repairs and besides its not worthwhile spending your time trying to bring it back. Just go and get a new loo seat. Don't use bleach on plastics as it discolours them. Use zoflora or antibac instead.

Mine has done this. It's a good quality heavy seat, rather than the cheaper plastic ones. It's about 15 years old and I have come to the conclusion that the scrubbing is making it worse. I think the nice "whiteness" has worn off and the underneath is a bit yellow.

I just use neat bleach on a cotton wool ball and scrub well. Then rinse with water laden sponge. Bleach has never stained it yellow. But then I use floor wipes to clean the mould on the ceiling.

Well, who told you to poop on the seat?

Spray the stains with WD40, leave for a short while, then rub gently with a damp cloth. All yellow stains will disappear like magic.

Try a Magic Eraser

ours [girls only loo] has the same probs, so can't blame the menz this time, don't ask me how/why!

its white, soft-closing, quite expensive, only months old, and had the same with previous fairly costly standard shape sheet, again white had yellowed all around that edge.

I try peeing leaning forward to avoid this, but no change!]
don't use bleach either so not that, and nothing to do with boys toilet training, as girls only loo.

going to try the toothpaste one i think, sounds the easiest of the options... nope just read further, going with the wd40, going to leave it overnight tonight, before the toothpaste.
