Draw done.

Hi Ruby. hope you achieve your goal for today. Its good your managing to get rid of clutter,I'm finding that easier too.

Didn't realise how time had flown by this morning.Better do lunch in a min before dentists.

Jelley · 08/01/2007 12:47

Hello all,

I've just got back after a long night (I was here at 3.30 too grouchyoscar - I did notice you!) and a long walk in the rain to spend some gift vouchers.

If I tried to write down everythng I need to do today, I'd get nothing at all done, so no list.

I'm going to start in the kitchen and tidy as much as I can, until school run time, but then I will havve an extra two children so it will probably get trashed again.

grouchyoscar · 08/01/2007 14:15

Jelley...If you were on the same thread as me in the early hrs I think you will find the current fox thread of some comfort.

Must get on with some flying but I can't vac the front room as the Island of Sodor is in duplo form on the floor

Jelley · 08/01/2007 14:43

grouchyoscar...yes I was, but I was also up at 6.30, so read the update before it was deleted Sounds quite hopeful.

Hi can I join you? have lurked a bit and have joined on flylady, emails are driving me nuts must change it to daily digest.

Today I was supposed to:

get on with packing boxes as we may have to move house on friday
try and find the counter tops, floors and dining table under all the guff that has collected on top of them

So far I have:

emptied the washing machine and hung washing on airer
done one load of washing
taken dp to work
taken ds for long walk
washed up a few pots
spent too long on mnet

I will now:

go and attack the cutlery draw, can't open the damn thing without things falling down the back of it so this mission is well timed

I hoovered my toaster! I also hoovered the breadbin out and the cupboard where the cereal is kept! I've never thought of this before..but it saved loads of mess and time!

(I'm glad noone but the kids were around to witness my toaster hoovering session!! They are used to my bizarreness )

Awww...just watching "Cars" its very good!

right well....better go sort out dinner and put the water on

Bye xx

tortoise · 08/01/2007 16:44

Well done luda.
I use my little hand held hoover to get crumbs off the work tops.Especially under the toaster.

Spuds and sausages cooking now.Just veg to sort.

Jelley · 08/01/2007 17:12

tortoise- I've emailed you.

welcome bewilderbeast.

I will be back tomorrow to catch up and do some serious FLYing, but I did manage to tidy up downstairs so it doesn't look too bad this afternoon.

OP posts:
shouldbedoingthehousework · 08/01/2007 17:21

spooky luda - I've just put cars on for the kids to watch while I get their supper

Managed to do utensil drawer and also sort through pile of papers (mostly recyling - why didn't I just put in the recyling box in the forst place?) and have sorted through a tray of odds and ends that also lives in the kitchen - it was odd strips of stickers, rubber bands, bits of playmobile and lego...should have just put it all away in the first place and not let it build up Have removed the tray now to avoid the temptation again!

Better see to the supper...

Skribble · 08/01/2007 17:26

Heloo all,

Yes I am back after a bit of a break, so I was all set to come hoe after work and make a big pot of soup and doa hundred other things but I was locked out, had to go back to MIL to get a key so just in and nothing done.

So I have put a wash on.... ta da.

I should have requested a drum roll .

Right I was just checking in to see what we were up to today and I am off to make my soup and clear out my drawers. Don't think I will fit in a full home fixing but I will see what else I should be doing today.

I started orgainising my recipies before Christmas and I need to get another of those books with the sleeves to slip in recipies, I use sheets of A4 and stick on only recipies that I am ever likely to make, I had a pile of mags and torn out pages with allsorts of fancy stuff that I never have the ingredients for or the patience to make. So my tip is "Keep it real" .

tortoise · 08/01/2007 17:28

Thanks jelley.

JustIvor · 08/01/2007 17:46

Hello to all. Just a quickie as I'm cooking tea at the same time.

I bought a new washing up bowl today that fits! It is a bit small but better than the one I broke last week. (I'd put it on the floor to do something else in the sink and ds kicked it accidentally!)

I spent ages in Morrisons. I even started to text my sister to while away the time but then some new checkouts opened. Even so, I'd queued for about 15 mins.

So, now I'm home. Tea is nearly ready. I'm going to do a load of washing and the t/d is on. Dh is eating out somewhere posh tonight but I think he has a smart shirt ready ironed.

See you all later when I have made some progress!

ludaloo · 08/01/2007 18:20

Hiya...Kids all tucking into dinner..
My chocolate bread is ready and is a huge success!! I only made a small loaf and it is nearly gone!! (Infact they are eating more of that than the spag bol oh well at least they are eating!)

skribble thanks for the tip...the recipies are tonights mission

Ivor I haven't been to Morrisons for ages...I usually shop at Lidls and Iceland, dh and I did our christmas shop at Morrisons and we cued for yonks too!

Well there are loads of us FLYing, so I apologise if I have missed saying hello...HELLO!!!

Off to bath the kids, and get them in to bed... Night night everyone xx

i've been diagnosed with PND today. i'm determined to keep busy and not give in to the sadness. i'm going to a baby group tomorrow. and when decluttering our bedroom we found my watercolour paints, so will have a go at doing that in the evenings. i've also started reading again.

satinshoes · 08/01/2007 18:38

quick visit. done nothing since my big list this morning except look after kiddies.

asleep - sorry to hear about PND but at least you have recognised it which is halfway to dealing with it in my book. I had it with DD1. Only mild enough to be very low. getting out and about is v. hard but really does help. Take care.

JustIvor · 08/01/2007 19:53

Hi asleep. I agree that you're halfway there. Having it diagnosed plus having us as a support group. Hang on. Sod half way - you're two thirds of the way there! Not making light of it, really. Hardly anyone has not been there and experienced it so you'll be in good company here.

Hi too to satin.

luda I've been in Lidl twice I think and Iceland once and I've lived here 9 yrs! I must try them again, well Lidl anyway. A neighbour had Christmas dinner from Lidl (I think it was a goose) and said it was much better than the expensive ones he'd had from one of the good butchers in town for previous Christmases.

Hello also to flame. Good to see you.

Since coming home from work, I've:-
~ done a load of washing
~ done a load of tumble drying
~ loaded and put on the d/w
~ walked the dog

I'm going to do the washing up and .... I don't know.... a bit of something else. Not too much though as I'm still feeling a bit grotty.
