i dust first cos i assume dusting drops dust onto floor.

PinkTulips · 07/01/2007 16:16

dust first as it raises lots of dust and wipes bits onto the floor obviously

I wipe dust first...then anything you happen to scoop off can be vacced up.

After that I kill two birds with one stone and vac the cobwebs from corners, and vac the tops of curtains etc....

def dusting first. i have to damp dust though. (fm scuttles off to go figure that one out)

I dust first otherwise its a waste of time vacuuming

Dust first, with a damp cloth which picks up the dust rather than just spreading it around. EXCEPT for the stairs, when I vaccuum or brush the carpet with a stiff brush first, then dust the sides and the bannisters. Somehow the act of sweeping seems to make a lot of dust fly around and it's better to do the dusting last.
