I was expecting all sorts of hideousness but actually it was not too bad.

I love LIdl. The only thing is, lots of their stuff, especially biscuits, have that horrible partially hydrogenated vegetable oil in, also known as trans fats, which ahs recently been banned in New York on account of causing something like 6% of all NY heart attacks. If you just watch out for, and avoid that, you're laughing.

The little jars of antepasta stuff are lovely, the olive oil, and especially the chocolate! Yum.
