Calling all stain removal gurus: pine resin?????

How do I get a small blob of pine resin off cotton jersey? Tried dabbing with alcohol without much success. Should I persist or is there something else I could try? TIA

how about putting jumper in the freezer overnight and then seeing if you can pull it off, like you can with chewing gum?

Good idea but it's sort of soaked in, not a lump. Thanks for replying though. Any other takers?
