can i ask a stupid question- I dont really understand what FLYing is- but all of these chores that you have stated that you have done- would these not be normal things that you would do anyway? Or am I missing something?

ludaloudbang · 02/11/2006 16:02

I'm fairly new to it all too...The FLYing mission is just a 15 minute job to do...it focuses on one specific room a week so by the end of the week you have a thoroughly clean room..little baby steps at a time...
The rest of the stuff is stuff you do anyway...just FLY on top of all of those.
It is just a great way to keep on top of things!

tortoisestrappedtoarocket · 02/11/2006 16:04

Ruby No i don't think they will be home by christmas but i will be pushing to have them for christmas day because xp1 would only allow me an hour and a half last christmas day.

QuootiePieBANGERSandMash · 02/11/2006 16:06

Just cleaned my dining room window Wasnt that long ago I did all the windows....but anyway

tinshoes · 02/11/2006 16:06

hi all. done nothing today but at least house is tidyish.

to those asking - FLYing is pretty much what you SHOULD do as good housework but if you lack motivation or have too much to do then the FLY system is a good way to break it into small chunks, and a thread like this is a way to motivate yourself and others so as not to get bogged down by the whole thing. hth

festive wish made!!!

Off to do tea and sort dd1 out she has come home the last couple of days very glum...she has cried the last two days I've dropped her off too...she says nothing is wrong but its not like her...either she is comming down with something or she is having trouble at school...

she needs a big hug and a kiss me thinks.

tortoisestrappedtoarocket · 02/11/2006 16:18

I will know a time scale next Thursday when they meet in court. The SS should of arranged everything and timetabled to the end(again!).
But I would say at least end Jan/Beginning Feb.

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 02/11/2006 18:19

Can't wipe the walls because the stupid chalky paint comes off on the cloth, even with just water
I did manage to sweep the kitchen floor, unload dishwasher, wipe counters, make a fishy cheesey pastry pie (which my DD ate!!!!) and do a laundry load. That sounds very little now I write it but that was all before 11.30 and I completely forgot to eat breakfast I was so busy. Have spent far too much trying to get my Christmas shopping done before December instead.

thehazelnutthatdoesnotgoBANG · 02/11/2006 18:35

Hi Everyone. I just had a quick read, well done to those who have been FlYing.
Its been very cold here today too, I did have the bedroom window open but soon closed it as the wind coming in was freezing! It was all white this morning (5am)

I have not been in bed so much today and I have had something to eat. I dont feel so bad either, so I am on the mead now I think.

I have done my xmas wish and it for you tortoise Cant tell you what it was or it wont work
You should have got your DS2 to make a birthday wish. Then he could have done what happened on "Liar Liar" Then his dad (xp1) could have gone in court this week saying that he did not really want them and why etc. Hmmmmmm maybe I can get DSs to do that on their birthdays

I love the firework names that people have got

I like the ones you said for my xmas one tortoise

thehazelnutthatdoesnotgoBANG · 02/11/2006 18:38

ludaloudbang ((((((hugs)))))) and xxxxxx for your DD1

tortoisestrappedtoarocket · 02/11/2006 18:52

Glad you are feeling bit better HN.
I was impressed with my suggestion for christmas name too! Wish mine was as easy. lol!

sahmtotwo · 02/11/2006 19:13
