Normal or nesting...?

I'm expecting our first baby in just over a week (or so).

Now, bearing in mind that up until I started mat leave 3 weeks ago dh and I lived in abject squalor due to both of us being slobs & working full time (but mainly the slob thing ), would you consider my urge to do the following jobs proper "nesting" or just that now I've got things under control with regular housework I'm spotting things I wouldn't normally?

  • pulling out the fridge to clean down the sides
  • cleaning tops of kitchen cupboards
  • washing contents of rarely used "good dishes" cupboard

I know I'll not do these things again (possibly ever ).

I've been really lucky that I've had an easy pregnancy and am carrying quite small so I am still quite comfy and mobile otherwise I'd probably be spending more time on the sofa.

Nesting.

I went nesting crazy. I carried DD's cot upstairs and assembled it completely by myself (at 37.5wks) in a fit of frantic nesting. Good job I did as she was born that very night

That's definately nesting. My house has never been so clean as at the end of my pregnancies.

definitely nesting. with DD1 i cleaned and 'sorted' all kitchen cupboards and then rearranged all of DHs clothes into season and colour in the wardrobes. Thought it was perfectly normal at the time

Hope the baby makes an appearance sooner rather than later... I'm actually considering taking down curtains to wash which even I consider a step way too far.

Careful taking down curtains.I cleaned windows on a chair and fell off backwards at 37 weeks.
Turned him from breech though(not that it made a difference as I was booked for a section but still)

The night before I started with DS1 I was moving furniture and hoovering at 1 a.m.
Sounds like nesting to me but it doesn't make it imminent.(sorry)
