Hiya... I need to replace our kitchen. How much should I expect to pay? Its quite small (10 ft x 10 ft, if not smaller) and units on 2 walls. I would want integrated appliances. know its abit vague but thanks x!

It used to be suggested that you could pay up to 10% of the house value but I've never spent that much!

It's all down to what you want and how much money you have really..i think people are happy to pay 2k to 5k all in but some will spend a lot more. I would say that more than 10k was a lot.

Do you want to change what goes where or just smarten it up?
Cheapest way for a complete revamp is to design and order at Ikea, get them to deliver and pay a local guy to fit it (if you've got no one who'll do it free). They're really good sturdy units, super cheap and come with video instructions for the fitter.

TwigTwoolett · 09/10/2006 17:27

anywhere from 5 - 10k

CappuccinoTheHaikuPedant · 09/10/2006 17:28

um... without being mean maybe go to a kitchen shop and ask? they'll give you a ballpark

then you can go buy it all cheaper at ikea

GhoulsToo · 09/10/2006 17:29

zippitippitoes · 09/10/2006 17:32

GhoulsToo · 09/10/2006 17:34

10% of house value!

zippitippitoes · 09/10/2006 17:35

lol

i thought i diplomatically covered all bases

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 09/10/2006 17:36

Don't go to a kitchen shop if you have a tight budget!
Def not more than £5k for B&Q or Homebase inc fitting for a kitchen that size (prob even inc a couple of built-in appliances!)
