Using one of those electric razor things to remove the bobbles from jumpers/bedsocks.

Tortington · 20/09/2006 13:13

harken yersels

lucycat · 20/09/2006 13:19

psml at cd's balsamic vinegar on her windows!

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 20/09/2006 14:00

Yeah can I come and lick your windows CD?
My thrill is the sight of a fridge full of delicious things after Tesco have been. I'm more about the cookin than the cleanin.

MuckyAnthea · 20/09/2006 15:15

My cheap domestic thrills:

Seeing the inside of the fridge looking all spick and span after I have cleaned it, I can't stop opening the door to have a look for at least 24 hours.

Having a good clear out and then having the ability of opening drawers without having bits of paper sticking out and having to force them back in.

A new toilet roll on the holder instead of an empty one and the new one residing on the floor.

Polishing your bathroom mirror and seeing yourself in your full glory instead of a blurred vision surrounded by splatters of toothpaste.

Watering your dead plants with TLC and slowly watching them spring back to life.

Walking into your kitchen in the morning and seeing clean surfaces instead of yesterdays pots and pans.

oooh I could go on....

MuckyAnthea · 20/09/2006 15:21

oh and climbing into bed with clean bedsheets - as we all know I never change them often enough, but when I do change them, and get in, I think to myself why don't I do it more often? cos I'm a lazy cow thats why

Toy cull! I took a whole boot FULL of plastic toys to the charity shop last week and my ds hasn't even noticed. result- much less crap to trip over and pick up day after day after day. domestic bliss

HuwEdwards · 21/09/2006 11:20

opening the fridge....

and seeing a nice bottle of white cooling in there for the evening...

I am so glad I am not the only one without the "cleaning gene" My best Domestic Thrills:

Coming home from work to find that I didnt forget to put the slow cooker on, and there is an actual meal ready for us.

Using the bath or the shower after giving it a good scrubbing - nobody else is allowed have the first shower after I have cleaned it.

Folding Towells that have just come out of the dryer all warm and soft.

Much as I hate Ironing the sight of a pile that is finished.

Clean sheets.

The best domestic thrill I have ever had was when I was away and my mum came in and cleaned to her standard - which I feel has always been much better than mine.

MrsSpoon · 21/09/2006 13:41

I got a new hoover bag last week, going off to use it again soon. Clean covers yesterday, clean towels today, ironing finished last night, clean house today if I can get off my bum and get on with it.

MrsSpoon · 21/09/2006 13:43

Oh, just remembered I've got a machine full of washing, off to hang it out, the sun is shining!

Beccarolloveragain · 21/09/2006 13:44

Ultimate cheap thril combo is

Bathing kids, popping them into clean pjs and tucking them into clean freshly made bed ahhhhhhhhh

I also like it when I open the wardrobe and all my favourite clothes are clean, ironed and ready to wear. So that I can choose what I would like to wear rather than what can I get away with that is clean even thogh dont link much.

nailpolish · 21/09/2006 13:44

oh i ADORE hanging washing

It's been a lovely warm evening here and all my washing is dry, must take it in before Hurricane Gordon hits.

I had a cheap domestic thrill this afternoon when I cleaned the dishwasher filters and ran an empty hot wash with a cup of vinegar inside. I know I am going to get great pleasure from marvelling at how well it washes when everything is clean.

Seabird · 28/09/2006 20:38

doing my 15 mins flyladying. Makes me feel all smug and like it doesn't matter that the rest of the house is a mess - I know it'll get tidy one day (15 mins at a time)
