Cheap domestic thrill? I still find that sitting on the washing machine during a spin cycle is quite thrilling, personally...

YellowFeathers · 20/09/2006 12:18

Just in the process of trying to find a cleaner.
Theres no such thing of cheap domestic thrill.

(actually I have one and thats cleaning the ceramic hob. Love seeing it sparkle)

Bozza · 20/09/2006 12:20

I am one of the poor people. I have to work and clean.

This week I have had to cook for people Saturday, Sunday, Monday and DH is away for 2 nights just in the middle of the week when I work. So think I deserve clean sheets tonight when I am sleeping alone.

Hoover bags? What are they? Am on my 3rd bagless hoover.

ginmummy · 20/09/2006 12:20

I love pegging my washing out and I love ironing ds's clothes - makes me feel all homely!

if dh rocks up unexpectedly rush to kitchen and start emptying dishwasher. Also grab previously sleepign baby and hold her while you do it with expression of saintly self-sacrifice.

SleepyJess · 20/09/2006 12:21

Another tip for appearing all wifey and as if you've been hard at work all day.. have some sheets blowing on the line, and spray some polish about as you hear DH arriving home..

Cod how do you find the time for all this fart-arsing about with feather dusters and more to the point taking pleasure in it.. what with being a mother-with-a-career and all?... it's baffling!

opening new toothpaste/shampoo/toilet roll

Bozza · 20/09/2006 12:25

Have to have clean pots in dishwasher for that though Enid. Putting weetabix encrusted bowls back in the cupboard would spoil the effect.

I don't empty my bagless hoover. Whatever gave you that idea. I think DH may do it occasionally. I don't do much hoovering though because DD is scared of it. So DH did upstairs last night while I was bathing the kids. And he did the living room and dining room after they went to bed while I cleaned the kitchen and toilet and did the hard floors.
