Silly - some friends of mine attempted a 100km in a weekend walk this year, they are very fit runners but only had a couple of months to train for the walk (they took it very seriously). They managed 78km, which was brilliant.
I did C25K about 3 years ago and did enjoy it, but have given up since suffering an injury. I am probably OK to jog again, but will never run more than 5km now and even that is not advisable on a regular basis (ok if I go slow, try and stick to soft ground, keep it low impact). I am also abut 3 stone overweight. I did MFP for a few months last year but got out of the habit mid year and put all the weight back on
.
Been out 10 pin bowling and for lunch today, which was good fun. Also booked DS's birthday party there for next month. DD's is at the end of next week, so I have overlapping arrangements, it's much easier the years they agree to share.
Flying wise, did quite a bit of tidying before going out, now need to go and restore order to the spare room, one of the cats has been sleeping on the spare bed and it is all hairy [yuck]. I'd really rather they stayed out of the bedrooms, but there isn't really anywhere they can use as a bolt hole downstairs. I'm not really feeling the love for them at the moment, discovered this morning that one of them has been using my favourite pot plant as a toilet (wee only thank goodness).
