Morning, Mercury. That looks like a good list. Am still on MN because if I don't want to make a noise doing chores and wake up DS2 (at least, that's my excuse). Will have to start soon though.

MercuryRising · 30/12/2013 07:59

That is a perfectly valid excuse Toffee. Dd has just been in asking for breakfast so I had better get up and get on. Bbl.

ToffeeWhirl · 30/12/2013 08:04

Ah, now DS2 is calling for me. No excuse anymore!

Sillybillybob · 30/12/2013 08:13

Tip run scheduled for today so hopefully we'll have some more room again! Can't put any toys away yet as DH is building a new bed for DS and it's currently taking up the playroom.

Likely to be having to clean the kitchen for the umpteenth time before watching the 2nd half of moon fleet.

Also weighed myself yesterday and am now half a stone over the heaviest I was ever going to be in a full on proper biffer. Must reduce portion size.

CallingAllEngels · 30/12/2013 08:33

Morning all.

Silly we have a trailer full for the tip atm. I must crack 8n with the cellar so we can have some proper storage and clear this tip up! In fact, maybe that would be a good way to spend nye, nyd and the 2nd!

and silly I am also weighing something stupid. Stood on the scales at my dms on christmas day and I am 11 stone/70 kg Have only weighed this much once and that was post birth (was 72 immediately after ds was born,) so drastic action is needed! No snacking, less junk, more veg and water, less coffe (but not going cold turkey after recent posts!)And ddefinitely back in training. I may do shred today and perhaps do a quick back to basics run tonight since it's dh's turn to put ds to bed.

okay, going with the power of 3 today

MerryBuddha · 30/12/2013 08:58

DH has taken ds2 on a road trip, they won't be back until tomorrow. So I am going to get out of bed (been laying here for over a hour while MNing).

And get back into some sort of routine....

Sillybillybob · 30/12/2013 09:11

Omg engels 11st 2 is the lightest I've been in my adult life (and I looked freaking AMAZING!). It took a ton of hard work to get there though as I had to lose 2 stone. I'm 2 stone heavier than I started out THEN now. 15st 3... .

Over 15 stone. I'm nearly as heavy as my DH Sad

elliepac · 30/12/2013 09:27

Morning all! I found you Grin

Tis a horrible day here in Lincolnshire. Was planning on a walk but I think that is going to be vetoed.

Need to do some flying but have cba. Everyone is still asleep here so I can't get moving yet because that would wake them and that would be unfairWinkGrin.

Welcome to whispersSmile.

sillybilly please don't be too harsh on yourself re weight. It is, quite rightly, been the last thing you should have been worrying about of late.

engels I too would love to be as heavy as youWinkGrin. 5 st down and still not 11st. That's my goal.Grin

Back later with a ta da hopefully!

I have only a stone to lose to get to my perfect weight, but I was saying that this time last year!, I can't do it!!! currently eating some of the gingerbread house with my morning cup of teaHmm. Hopefully, I have a half marathon to train for in March, and this will get me slimmer!! Also in time for my BIG birthday this year!!!

have come home to find dh home and he's taken the rest of the week off. Which in some ways is lovely, but I also really look forward to having more time to myself (with ds though as nursery closed this week).

On the list for today...
thank you cards
doctor who
Have eaten m5 weight in cheese the last 2 months and drunk far more than I usually would, mostly as a response to mc (fuck it, , I CAN eat and drink this stuff and there has to be some positive out of not being pg).

We are taking a break from ttc this month as I've found it hard to deal with not really being able to try again (hoping fr all clear at end of this week) and have put myself under pressure through my frustration with my body. Feel so shit about myself atm and I want to feel fit and not blobby. My legs are fine, but my waist is enormous (scratch that, I don't have a waist atm!).

AliceinWinterWonderland · 30/12/2013 10:40

Alice has feral DCs, I think they all get a bit like that

Grin Had to laugh when I saw that in the update. They're a bit better today. I've started on my list - will post later.

BitchytheGreat · 30/12/2013 10:43

today we are doing impressions of zombies. phone at 9:30am and alarm at 10am were far too early. ds is tired as he was allowed up until 11pm. Need to get cracking though as need to leave in about 20mins and haven't packed ds' stuff for his trip yet.

feetheart · 30/12/2013 11:08

Buddha - which half marathon are you doing? And where do you find out about races? I need to find a few to get keep me motivated through the long dark winter. REALLY, REALLY want to do a Colour Run but only found out about them about 2 days before the last one this year.

Bitchy - hope weather doesn't disrupt your plans.

Goth - yes we did get out for a walk yesterday thanks. Not quite Buddha's epic but it blew more cobwebs away and made 5 children and 3 adults very hungry for the leftovers dinner we put together :)

To those who are looking to lose weight in the New Year the only advice I can give is to look at the fat content of what you are eating. In an attempt to help DH reduce his cholesterol we changed some of what we ate and inspite of still scoffing chocolate, cakes, etc out of sight of DH I have lost a stone and I thought we ate a healthy diet Shock. Exercise is obviously good too but 5 years of running hadn't affected my weight much at all.
SC is a great source of low fat recipes :)

Another 'How to Train your Dragon' mad family here though prefer the books to the film/TV stuff. One of DS's highlights this year was meeting Cressida Cowell and getting her autograph complete with Toothless drawing :)

Feel like I should be following the very motivated people here and do some Flying but have 3 DC slobbing around (DD had friend to sleepover) and really CBA. Need to do some work though so maybe try that first.
Will try and find some enthusiasm >>>> off to look in dark and dusty corners.

BitchytheGreat · 30/12/2013 11:24

Which is funny because I have to eat a high fat very low carb diet otherwise my weight balloons and I pass out at random. Good we are all different Grin

Zombie state is causing more problems then weather atm. C.B.fucking.A.

dizzyday07 · 30/12/2013 11:28

Trip out was cancelled as the ILs busy and we were too late to go iceskating so another day of sitting about the house as even too wet and windy to go out for a walk!

At my lightest I was 11st too but looked skeletal even though a size 16! I daren't say how much I need to lose but I am determined to change that and get fit. I am going to start the couch to 5k MN programme with DD and sign up for 5k swimathon. I wanted to use entering the Henley Fun Triathlon last year as a motivational tool for both DH and I but he wouldnt take part because of the swim - and he wouldnt try to improve his technique to swim more than 1 length but I may just forget him and do it myself this year!

Sillybillybob · 30/12/2013 11:39

Go for it dizzy !!!

I got 5 weeks in to couch to 5k last year until I broke my toe which takes months to heal. It really works though. Will be starting it again in feb (my one step at a time is housework in jan, exercise in feb...)

I've just cleared and hoovered DD's room. She is 2 next month. It's the first time it's been properly vacuumed since we decorated it before she was born Blush

dizzyday07 · 30/12/2013 11:41

Feet - just clicked on that ColourRun link and DD and I think it looks amazing! But DH has just commented "why do you keep going on about running 5k. It's a long way!" Hmm

BitchytheGreat · 30/12/2013 11:45

Problem is with doing one triathlon is that it never becomes just one Grin Do it! If dh doesn't want to try you can use him to hold your bike and looking after it when you practise transitioning from bike to run. (it's a skill believe me chief book reader and bike lookerafterer

Sillybillybob · 30/12/2013 11:47

Wow. 3 huge sacks of junk (clothes and toys) for charity collection tomorrow! I'm feeling free...

MerryBuddha · 30/12/2013 11:49

Feet I just find them browsing the internet!! Though the Colour run, I would love, but it's already sold out Argh!!!

Though I quite fancy this.

I should be as skinny as a rake as all female vegans are supposed to look like that but no, not this one. But in my training running, I am going to go clean (no rubbish)...If there is a inch of fat on my belly after that there something wrong with the world!!

I am struggling today!!! DS1 is making lunch so I can keep ploughing through!!!

Sillybillybob · 30/12/2013 11:59

I did this a couple of years ago. Not a run, as such, but I could barely stand up for several days afterwards it was so tiring!!!

A friend has talked me in to a 100km walk in 2015. I desperately need to get fit for that!!! The 100km is in 30 hours...

elliepac · 30/12/2013 12:05

I completed C25k last year. All be it very slowly. Really enjoyed it but only realistic time for me to go is first thing in the morning and don't really like running on own in dark in the early hours. Had been going to gym but haven't been in a couple of months.

MFP really worked for me and I will be back on it with a vengeance from the 2nd. Am also going to try and give up the fags. Said I would do it when I had lost weight and that I have so no excuses now.

Ta da:-
Fuck all

MerryBuddha · 30/12/2013 12:12

Sillybillybob 100km walk, tell me more. Where??

MerryBuddha · 30/12/2013 12:17

OMG Silly just looked at your link. I would poo my pants!!

Sillybillybob · 30/12/2013 12:28

Buddha it's a team effort ( you all walk all the way though) and it's to raise money for Oxfam. I think it's a circular route in the Yorkshire Dales.
