I agree she needs to move adora. She has potential and really loves it but needs to be encouraged a bit more and in amongst older kids too. The schedule is already tight tho so it could be tricky.
I had a fab day yesterday. We had a really lazy morning while dh did a long run with pup. Then dd and i went shopping as she was having a bit of a clothing crisis. She has plenty pretty skirts as they dont get outgrown so fast but she is quite an outdoorsy sort of girl and really needed some ordinary jeans and some jodhpurs. People were starting to comment on her cropped look jodhpurs Blush
We went for a nice meal at yo sushi and had a laugh trying on ridiculous heels in new look. We also went for a bra fitting. She has no boobs but most of her friends do. The lady very tactfully fitted her in a v pretty cropped top and glossed over the fact it was age 9. I am a double f fitting so was trying delighted she doesnt have to endure that for now. I was a c cup at her age. Shock

Shock at carrots Double F. I can barely fill an A. I loved being pregnant/breastfeeding. My boobs went up to a B and I was over-the-moon.

carrotsandcelery · 24/06/2012 09:09

Poor ts scout. We are all brewing snot thanks to my friend not warning me about her son the other day.
I am Envy of your boobs scout. Being this size is a total pita tbh.

OP posts:
Scout19075 · 24/06/2012 09:12

Oh, I wouldn't want to be that big, carrots, but I liked being a B. I could find nice bras that weren't all padded and my clothes fit. Heck, even my nursing bras were nicer than the plain, boring, slightly padded things I wear now.

carrotsandcelery · 24/06/2012 09:13

I used to blame my cup size on my weight but even as a size 8, which is not nice to look at on my frame. Waaaay too skinny for my body. I was still a double e. Looked even worse on tiny emaciated body. At least now my blubber hides it Blush

Morning all, We have our car back on the road now Yay! Wasn't cheap though! Sad We had to get it done though so we can visit DH family who are a long way away. (Haven't seen them for nearly a year) Shock
FX nothing else goes wrong! We already are trotting along with no heating but hey at least it is "summer". Hmm
Drying the washing is a PAIN right now! I can't even rely on the weather to get it dry. Sad We are considering visiting the launderette. I have all the airers full which is not good cause it may cause damp in the house but when it rains most days and you have no tumble drier "what can you do?"
DD has started to wake at 3 in the morning lately so we are feeling a little sleep deprived.
Just hoping we have enough money to last the month.

Sorry to start the day with such a moany post but just needed to get it all out.

"Happy days!" Will try to Smile and enjoy the small things!!!

carrotsandcelery · 24/06/2012 09:28

Hi cats. I have a laundry issue too. If we had a laundrette i would be there like a flash. Sounds a good plan to me. Also can sit there with book or mag and chill guilt free.
I need my car serviced and a repair. Living where i do i need someone to help tho as means being stuck elsewhere while its done or begging a lift or asking someone to pick kids up.

OP posts:
CatsSleepAnywhere · 24/06/2012 09:38

DH is going to the launderette. Ours is in walking distance so not too far.

Must be hard being in a village situation! at least we have most things nearby so musn't grumble too much.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 24/06/2012 09:55

Can anyone "boot" me into action?? I have things to do but am struggling with CBA!

Scout19075 · 24/06/2012 10:00

I'm having the same issues. My sinuses still hurt like anything so bending over is a chore. We were more-or-less not home yesterday and I feel so behind (even if I don't tend to do much proper flying over the weekend). I have printed out loads of things for Toddler's "learning" and fun. Fourth of July is a week and a half away so have lots of patriotic things to paint/color/cut/create over the next week so when the day comes he can wear his 4th of July tee-shirt, wave his flag and hang all of his creations. Oh, and we'll have BBQ food for dinner that night. Sadly no fireworks, though.

I'm hoping to get TS to nap soon. I would normally use that time to catch up or breathe (if I had been going) but I think I might lay in bed and read.

carrotsandcelery · 24/06/2012 11:02

I have finally just had my breakfast. I have been chilling.

Scout you must be mini with petite boobs and petite feet. I feel enormous!

We have decorated t shirts as well this week Scout. The school is holding a world sports day tomorrow and the dcs have to come in the colours of the country their class chose.

Ds's class has two Indian boys in it so they chose India and he has made a t shirt with the Indian flag on it.

Dd's class chose Jamaica as their teacher is obsessed with sport and they, as a class, are obsessed with the Cool Runnings Dvd, so she has made a t shirt with the Jamaican flag on it.

The t shirts came in packs of two so they each still have one to decorate on a rainy day during the hols. Grin

Cats I CBA either. I need to start laying out the dcs stuff for packing as we leave on Saturday and they are in school right up to Friday. I have commitments on Thurs and Friday so I need to get it well underway.

I will nudge you gently with my sock but not too hard since it is a Sunday Wink

CatsSleepAnywhere · 24/06/2012 13:05

We have around 4 weeks before the DC break up for summer hols so if I CBA can I really need to get things sorted before then.
DH went to the launderette and used their tumble drier too. Everything was lovely and warm when he brought it back. I would so love a tumble dryer one day!!

DD is "On one" today. (A bad/noisy mood) She is being very difficult. --I want to run away-- Sad
She is in one of those moods where nothing is right for her!

carrotsandcelery · 24/06/2012 13:48

I frequently want to run away Cats. Infact, the day last weekend when I lost it I announced that I was leaving. Ds was in floods. He was still upset about it at bedtime. I felt really guilty as well as everything else then. Blush Sad

I think a lot of it has to do with sleep. If you can't sleep then everything else blows out of all proportion.

I think there might be a sleep thread running. I might go and see if there are any tips.

OP posts:
CatsSleepAnywhere · 24/06/2012 14:19

I think it definitely has something to do with lack of sleep cause those few nights --a week ago-- when DD did sleep all night I felt so much better!
I think I read somewhere that it can take till they are 5 years old before they get continual nights of staying asleep. I so hope this is wrong but I think it was the case with DS.
Maybe I just have "very active" children as they do seem to be on the go all day. I asked the HV if they were hyperactive but she said if they were, they would never be able to sit still and concentrate on something. They can if something gets their interest enough.

I am off to have a shower soon to see if I will feel better then I need to do some more washing. The sun has come out now.

carrotsandcelery · 24/06/2012 14:26

Cats the psychologist said that ds is hyperactive. He doesn't have ADHD but he is hyperactive. He can sit still and draw for hours but that is when it is his choice. She also told me there is nothing you can do about it. The only food to avoid is caffeine. Other than that no food affects it.

OP posts:
CatsSleepAnywhere · 24/06/2012 14:46

I can deal with them when they are on their own but together they wind each other up into an over excited frenzy. DS has gone out to play now and as a result DD is much quieter. I wonder sometimes if they are just competing with each other for attention.

Maybe the HV was wrong. She could of been thinking about ADHD. Confused

Anyway, I just think everything seems harder than it is if you don't feel o.k. yourself.

< Wanders off for some much needed "me time" Wink >

carrotsandcelery · 24/06/2012 15:00

Dd is doing my head in just now. She needs to get organised for her two holidays. It would take her about half an hour. Instead she is watching tv. She knows I am stressed about it all. She understands that fact as well. Still she watches tv. Grrrr!

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 24/06/2012 15:01

TV is off.

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 24/06/2012 15:53

Dd is finally getting "into" laying out her packing and seems to be enjoying herself now that she has got going. Thank goodness for that! Grin

Ds's was so easy by comparison: X number of t shirts, a couple of shirts for going out at night, all his shorts, all his jeans and a pair of tracky bottoms. Job virtually done.

It will be the toys that he procrastinates about.

OP posts:
Scout19075 · 24/06/2012 15:59

Why oh why is all of the Back to School uniform stuff out/on sale when there's still 3-4 weeks of school left?! So depressing!

We went to Sainsbury's this afternoon. Looking at the toys, MrScout was eyeing the Lego. I spotted a "free build" one (you know, ones that are just bricks, not specifically a car or helicopter or castle, etc) that has a picture of a windmill on it. I think then and there MrScout decided we'd buy it and he and Toddler could build a windmill. Toddler's eyes LIT UP when he saw it, he took it from the shelf and gave it to MrScout asking "Buy it? Buy it?" It's so rare that TS asks for things and usually if/when he does we can persuade him to put it back but MrScout smiled and said "Put it in our basket, Toddler." Which TS promptly said "'hank you, Daddy!" and tried to carry the basket with his Lego. MrScout and Toddler are now building a windmill based on the picture (as there are no instructions to build the windmill in the box). I don't know who's having more fun.... Grin

Scout19075 · 24/06/2012 16:05

carrots, once upon a time I was a AA cup, UK size 2.5/3 shoe and about 115 lbs. I was still only about 125 when I met MrScout (same size jeans, though, as when I was 110/115). I looked like a child with an adult mind/attitude. It was a challenge finding nice clothes for going out in and nice work clothes for when I worked in a "formal" office.

My body shape has changed radically since I got pregnant from pregnancy to losing most of the weight to then shedding another 35/40 lbs to putting it all back but not in the same places. I hate buying clothes for myself these days.

carrotsandcelery · 24/06/2012 16:29

I don't enjoy clothes shopping either Scout but for the opposite reason I suspect. Blush

The boxes of random bits of lego are by far the best. Both my dcs have had great fun with them. If they get a specific model they really enjoy it but the pieces generally end up in the big box and used to build whatever they imagine. The exception to this is the Lego friends sets that dd was given for her birthday and has so far kept separate from the big box of Lego.

Lego and Kid K'nex have been the two most popular toys in this house. Dd won a competition for building with the older K'nex at school. Guess what they had to build Scout?
