Come inside and settle down on the sofa.

I have wondered about them bessie but I am trying to dry things without using up electricity. It may come to that though if this weather continues as I am also trying not to put the heating on too much.

We survived the school run without getting soaked. Yay!

The dcs are now working on their homework. Ds is nearly finished but dd's could be very painful as she is grumpy and stressed. [eeek!]

Hello, how's everyone doing?

We have sunshine, Yipeee! It's only supposed to last one day, mind, but at least I can put some washing oustide. There was a heavy storm almost right over our house on Saturday night, lightning and thunder were practically simultaneous and I haven't seen rain that heavy since we were in Central America. Rained all through yesterday too. Mountains, and even the lower hills look lovely today covered in snow.

DDs have actualy tidied their rooms over the weekend. DD1 calls it Operation iPod, as OH keeps promising material things if they look after their things. The latest is new, larger, beds. She wants a water bed and seems to think that we can get around the weight issue by her moving into my room, as it's downstairs.

My turn to have flu now, I'm upright but breathing isn't as easy as normal.

bessie26 · 18/06/2012 17:26

Sunshine here too, inbetween the showers.

I am watching my beautiful clean floor get covered in crumbs as the DDs have their tea. DD2 was in an awful mood when we woke her up at 430 & cried & cried while DD1 & I made tea. As soon as she got something to eat, she cheered up no end! Grin

Scout19075 · 18/06/2012 17:28

Not long home from weekend at in-laws. I think I need a stiff drink.

bessie26 · 18/06/2012 17:31
Scout19075 · 18/06/2012 17:39

Cheers bessie.

I'm so tired (I didn't sleep well down there this weekend) and I don't feel great and my house is a sh!t hole and I'm frustrated and MrScout is winding me up with his inability to answer a simple yes/no question.

AdoraBell · 18/06/2012 17:41

Glad DD2 cheered up bessie' and thanks for the olbas oil.

So, I went out to hang some washing in the sunshine, and found all the towels I'd washed on Saturday afternoon. No-one reminded me about that before the rain started. They were still dripping, so I bunged them in again on a quick wash and long spin.

Scout if the gin doesn't work I can send you a pisco sour, it's good stuff Grin. Glad to see you survived.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 18/06/2012 18:41

I had that "comfort food" feeling last week. It must be to do with hormones. I wanted to eat crap chocolate, cake and biscuits. Not much better this week! Hmm

CatsSleepAnywhere · 18/06/2012 18:44

I am a bit worried about leaving the house lately. The sea gulls are in "Attack" mode. I had one swoop right down across my head last week and today I saw 3 of them having a go at the postman. Shock They are nesting I think.

Scout19075 · 18/06/2012 20:37

Off to do the weekly shop. I wish the cafes were still open -- I could use a few quiet minutes with my thoughts, a hot beverage and a pastry.

Scout19075 · 18/06/2012 22:45

Still have lots I'd like to get done but think sleep might win.

carrotsandcelery · 18/06/2012 22:49

zoo the spider sounds fantastic. Well done!

We were making a World Sports Day t shirt tonight for ds before we went out. His class has 2 Indian boys in it so their class chose to be India. The wee blue flower thing in the middle was a bit beyond our fabric pen skills but hopefully it creates the general impression.

Dd is Jamaica so we still have to tackle that but she has a project to write before she gets to do the crafty things.

Cats the seagulls do that when we go into the city too. It is pretty scary. Does a brolly help? I have vivid memories of our best man coming to stay when we were still in the flat in the city and throwing chips in the air for the gulls to catch as we stumbled home at silly o'clock. Changed days - we have 2 dcs and so does he Shock

Adora I hope you fight it off fast. Good luck!

Scout Sympathies. It will all look better in the morning if you can get a decent night's sleep.

We have been out late on a school night as I took the dcs to see our babysitter/neighbour/friend who was lead in the school show at the Secondary School. She is so modest and a little bit shy so you would never know she had it in her. She was amazing. She has grade 7 for singing so I knew she was a good singer but I didn't realise how good that was until I heard her. Shock Grin

It was a show based on Queen tracks so everyone knew the music and had a blast singing along when invited etc.

Thanks Zoo and Carrots

I'm not feeling too bad so far, but am definitely following the same path as OH, DDs and many others. Plus I'm feeling stabby this evening, I've put details on the stepping thread, but I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight. I'm all AngryShockAngry

I need to make sarnies and coral the puppies before I go to bed, may have anther tea too.

Zoo that spider sounds fab.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 19/06/2012 05:29

Morning all, Feeling quite good so far this morning but it's early yet. Hmm Grin

I think I will get some early breakfast then make a start on the day.

Scout Hope you got some good sleep.

Zoo I am impressed by your spider costume, it sounds quite good!

Adora Hope you feel better soon.

carrotsandcelery · 19/06/2012 09:36

Morning all!

Scout I hope the world looks a little more sparkly this morning.

I have a major dose of really can't be faffed. Anyone know the cure for bone weariness? I can't seem to sleep either, despite feeling so drained.

Dh is possibly away for the next 2 nights Sad I haven't seen much of him anyway but it is still nice to know he comes in at the end of the day, albeit 11pm.

Someone give me a slap and tell me to get over myself.

In other news I actually felt hungry and had a rumbley tum for the first time in ages this morning. Fx this means my stomach is back to normal.

If anyone finds a funny thread please point me in the right direction as I am so over being this blue Sad

I recommend you put your feet up for an hour or two Wink

I found out who that text was from yesterday. Grin it was my DB who has a new phone --but not that new-- I had his old number in my address book so didn't realize who it was. Shock

The seagull was swooping down again this morning. I may have to go a different way to nursery to avoid being "attacked"

carrotsandcelery · 19/06/2012 10:55

I am sorry I am such a misery just now. I will come round Grin

I have been pottering around doing jobs but just not as fast as I usually do them.

OP posts:
CatsSleepAnywhere · 19/06/2012 11:08

Carrots there's no need to apologize. You need to look after yourself --should take own advice--

I might need to go on a diet. I'm fed up of having a flabby belly! I'm not huge but not how I would like to be. I need to cut down on my snacking!!

carrotsandcelery · 19/06/2012 12:00

I need to cut back too Cats. I gain weight really easily and the fact it is still cold and wet does incline me to eat more. I don't want it to get hot again either but 18/20C would be nice and discourage me from comfort eating Grin That said, with my recent dodgy tummy, I have been more cautious. I binned my crisps and dip on Sunday night Shock

I usually eat less during the holidays as I don't want dd to eat rubbish and I have more company. Fx it helps.

Hello. Anyone around over lunchtime?

carrotsandcelery · 19/06/2012 12:35

Hi Scout! How are you today?

OP posts:
Scout19075 · 19/06/2012 12:48

[yawn] Very tired. I went to bed too late (nearly midnight), Toddler had me up from 3 until 5 a.m. and then crawled into my bed to start the day at 7. I should have a nap but I can't be bothered to move.

How are you, carrots?

zoo, can you post pictures of the finished spider?

Cats, how are you?
