I found the thread. It seems we are not alone. Why is housework so repetitive and soooooo boring?

i had a crisis yesterday
dd2 did the stupid oclock wake up for everyone so i was tired and grumpy and so was everyone else

i let kits out first thing.at 11 i was just going to ick up lil zoo and saw scout get into an altercation with a dogShock
i know the dogso i stepped between them and scooped him up

i brought him back into the garden and he wriggle to get down so i let him go

i couldnt see him when lil zoo and i returned

at 1pm iget them in...no sign.got atticus in and he hungryily rammed some food

i went out every 15mins calling him,but in my heart i knew he asnt around as he slike a little puppy run to heel and always comes when calledSad

at 2.45 i took to the street with a bag of food to shake and c alled him.our road haas cul de sacs coming off it on our side and when i reached the next one down i saw a woman cutting her hedge.i asked if see a balck cat

"oh yes, been mewing at strangers and seems very anxious think its in my garden still"

as soon i called him he mewed and ran to sound my voice but couldnt get through the hedge.i went to the front gate and he ran to me and half leapt as i half lifted himinto my arms.he approached me so anxiousy and as soon as i had him in my arms he rubbed faces and began to purr...
i took him home, crying and he went straight to his bowl to etwhile lil zoo and i did school run

from minute i returned he followed me everywhere, incl to the looShocknot leaving my side.he mustve had such a fright!
i slept downstairs with himhe slept on back of sofa legs hang down touching meand every time he woke he clambered down for a fuss and to sit and rub my face

i let him out an hour ago, will get back in soon.dd2 was adamant he should never go out again but he got scared and we all do daft things when panicked!

i feel really drained today and low, lack sleep i think

carrotsandcelery · 14/06/2012 13:29

Wowzoo! That would terrify me if it was one of my dogs. You are probably recovering from the shock today. It took me a couple of days to get over Sports Day. The fact that he ran to you and was really affectionate suggests he may not venture too far today. I think the advice to send them out hungry and to feed them when they come back makes a lot of sense.

I have finished batch two of my ironing thanks to a bit of company. Thanks everyone.

Trying to regain some energy. Wink

carrotsandcelery · 14/06/2012 13:33

I am beginning to get in a stew about packing for our trip away with my dparents. I always get in a state about packing.

The bit that is getting me really uptight is that dd is behind with her ironing and will go away for a week to dh's Mum straight after her week away with us so really needs 2 weeks worth of clothes ready to go. I don't even know if she has 2 weeks worth of clothes.

I thought that if we wrote a list of all her clothes and allocated them to her week with my dparents or her week with her dgranny or to stay at home it would help.

I am tempted to do all her ironing but know my lesson will be lost if I do.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 14/06/2012 13:37

Packing is hard because unless you are going abroad you never know what the weather is going to do.

Scout19075 · 14/06/2012 13:47

I've become a sloth.

Oh dear, zoo, what a fright!

carrots, when are you going away?

Cats, did you take your tablet?

carrotsandcelery · 14/06/2012 14:00

That is part of the problem Cats. We go the first week of July and given the weather recently it could be 12C or 28C. Boys are easier as you just put in shorts, trousers, t-shirts a couple of jumpers and you are covered. Girls, especially girls who are suddenly very worried about their appearance, have a few more options.

This afternoon was a perfect "feed the ducks" afternoon -- so we did!

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 14/06/2012 16:53

Just wondering what sort of "stepping" I might be doing to go with the chatting and ranting on this thread Grin

I can do chatting and ranting with the best of 'em ....

But just thinking whether that would be naughty stepping (with all these troublesome toddlers), AA 12 steps to go with (or not) the Wine, stepping out in style ? Or possibly as you're in "good housekeeping" could it be the flylady steps ?!

Someone help me out ? Confused

carrotsandcelery · 14/06/2012 18:35
Grin

To put you out of your misery, it is flylady stepping. This thread goes alongside our list thread as some just wanted to list and were overwhelmed by our scintilating chatter Shock
Feel very welcome to come and chat too.

Zoo

Glad you found your cat.

Carrots If you have any of those chocolate raisins left send them this way as I can't get the here.

Cats If you need to take your tablet in the morning, how about putting it by the kettle, but obviously were DCs can't reach?

Puppies seem okay today, they enjoyed their rice and chicken for brekkies.
DDs are arguing upstairs, can't hear why but at least they're not screaming at each other. I feel worn out today and have flopped onto the sofa.

carrotsandcelery · 14/06/2012 19:10

Oh my! My Judgy Pants are giving me a wedgie! Shock

I have just been out with a friend's little boy and his Granny and experienced PFBitis of chronic proportions. Shock I thought his Mum was bad Shock Shock Shock
