What do they do that *really* annoys you?!

I'm tidying round the house today (DH, 3x DDs and 1 DS plus pets!) and I'm tutting away at the stupid but very annoying things they keep bloody doing ...
DH always puts dirty laundry on top of the laundry bin lid. Drives me bloody crazy! What drives you mad in the battle against tidy houses?

Hahahaaa I do all of these. I am the slattern in this house and DP is the crazy tidying person.

Sometimes I do things purely to irritate him.

Farside Yes, both of those! Also our draining board is slow to drain so there is always a slight pool of water at the sink end. They never put their cups to drain at the OTHER end where it is a bit drier.

You wouldnt believe the mess dp makes after just making a cup of tea - water spillage, sugar all over counter top.... and he doesnt wipe any of it up.

Toothpaste in sink and all over electric toothbrush handle
wet shower curtain hanging over side of bath and dripping onto floor
hair all over sink after shaving, never rinses it away
clothes left in a pile in corner of bedroom after worn once, never put away/put in laundry basket
Gets things out of drawers/cupboards to use and just leaves them laying around house
OMG I could go on.

...I always wash up as dp cannot do it properly, he just isnt thorough. A dishwasher is our next big purchase as I have grown to despise the chore.

....feeling guilty for last couple of posts so must add that he is marvellous in many other ways.

Decides that the bread in the bread bin is past its best, Takes out and uses a few slices of a new loaf and puts it into the bread bin...WITHOUT REMOVING THE OLD BREAD!

It drives me mental!

I've been slacking off recently (in my defence I have been ill.. well, sort of) and DP has just picked up the slack and got on with it. Wonder how long I can get away with sitting on my arse while he does the washing up... again.

Dirty laundry thrown in the general direction of laundry basket
Towels on floor or in bath
Will wash everything but not pans and roasting tins

I admit all the shoes, boots, trainers strewn/left all over the porch, lounge and bedroom are mine!!

Washing hands in kitchen sink then dripping water across the floor to get a towel out. Not putting cutlery far into dishwasher cutlery basket so then you get smeary hands bypassing stuff put in earlier. Yuck
