What's everyone else up to?

I have just made a game for the DC. I took an Easter egg box (empty) and they have to get a ball through the hole. [bugrin]

washed up from lunch

made lambs from a template i found on DLTKs growing together website

cleared up all the chibbled bits paper and glue

cleared up bits discarded clues from egg hunt

decluttered some roses chocolates dd1 got me[bugrin]

washing hung up/more in

wondering what i can be bothered to cook for dinner

carrotsandcelery · 09/04/2012 17:02

Tonight's dinner will be spaghetti bolognaise as dd's friend is staying and I know ds will eat it without a fuss Hmm

Ta Das:
Walked for miles
Washed dogs
Cleaned bathroom several times
Created washing mountain

House now stinks of wet dog but at least it is clean wet dogs [bugrin]

liveinazoo · 09/04/2012 17:05

nothing wrong with clean wet dog carrots[bugrin]

carrotsandcelery · 09/04/2012 17:10

Twilight looked so pathetic. She is normally huge and fluffy but when she is wet she looks half the size and her legs are really, really skinny.

liveinazoo · 09/04/2012 18:25

in my yoof he had a cat that was a huge white and ginger fluffball, one day it came home with a sludgy brown gunge all over legs and belly and stank like rotting dustbins.to this day ive no idea where that boy had been but he had to be bathed.he looked so odd wet and minus his big fluffy girth, like a little drowned rat.i felt so sorry for him i dried him the best i could with towels then blow dried him back to "normal"Grin

carrotsandcelery · 09/04/2012 18:34

[bugrin] I was considering blowdrying Twilight as she has such long fluffy hair.

Pup looks hilarious because he is normally really sleek but he is all tufty and bed head looking from his shower.

liveinazoo · 09/04/2012 18:36

if shes such a waterbaby might have to get used to blowdrying your pets!!!![bugrin]

carrotsandcelery · 09/04/2012 19:54

I think I might as she is still wet!

bessie26 · 09/04/2012 20:09

I saw my old cat bolt through the house once. I can only assume she had fallen down the loo as her back legs & tummy were absolutely soaking, but her front legs & head were all dry & fluffy Grin

I have been known to take the dirty washing up out of the sink (DH likes to leave things in there soaking), pile it up on the side & then shine the sink. For me, the sink being clean & usable is the most important thing, I don't care (so much) if there is a pile of stuff next to it!

carrotsandcelery · 09/04/2012 20:18

Hi bessie! How has your day been?

bessie26 · 09/04/2012 20:36

Hi carrots all ok here. DD2 is much happier today Grin (although her nappies have been a different matter) Took DD1 to her swimming lesson this morning, did a bit of tidying this arvo. Really must get back into the habit of looking at my list & doing hotspots etc. I will be child-free on tues & weds this week, although I'm having my hair done tomorrow & am visiting a friend on weds, so am not sure how much I'll get done.

How about you? Hope DS hasn't still got a big egg on his head?!

carrotsandcelery · 09/04/2012 20:42

The egg is vastly reduced thank goodness.

I will be trying to fly first thing as I am taking the dcs and one of dd's friends into the big smoke to their fancy dan swimming pool with slides and waves and currents etc.

I will also have to spend some time in the bathroom decluttering myself Blush as I will have to go in too. Dd and her friend will be fine but I am not satisfied that ds is a strong enough swimmer to cope with the crowds and the "special features".

liveinazoo · 10/04/2012 06:22

i am up and dressed

washing from last night has been hung up

another loads gone in

today i intend to do some missions

Scout19075 · 10/04/2012 07:31

Ta Dahs:

I am up
Toddler is being fed

To Dos:

Pack up
Load the car
Drive home
Go to soft play to deliver things to friend (and, of course, allow Toddler to play)
Go to grocery store for supplies for tonight's dinner
Write menu & grocery list (for tomorrow's shop)
Put away things from car

Ugh.

liveinazoo · 10/04/2012 07:50

im syre it will be nice to be back

liveinazoo · 10/04/2012 07:51

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 10/04/2012 09:56

Morning everyone!

Ta Das:
washed and dressed (all smooth and silky ready for the pool!)
read report from hospital re ds Sad
packed my swimming bag

I am off to put on a wash as the laundry mountain is VAST!

liveinazoo · 10/04/2012 10:00

i have just spent over an hour reclaiming frontroom from utter chaosSad

i have been upatairs laden down with toys x4

removed 1/2 carrier bag rubbish

1carrier bag recycling

returned 40 books to the shelves

its not too bad when its just us but when dp here its hell-he lets them get books out to "lean on" whilst drawing and he uses them too for drawng pictures for them often getting loads books out to pick a picture to copy.they are never put back.toys migrate down and never return

when dd1 visits they bring toys down and play inappropriately with things

i think its all for attention but i find it makes me very frustrated as we are now trying to be me tidy and organized

in an ideal world i wouldve raised them frm birth to be tidy but i fell out of the messy tree and hit every branch on the ay down so find it hard work and a new skill im still battling withBlush

now the tidy bus has passed through i am desperate to keep it half decent and trying to calm down so i dont spend all day moaning about being messy

am i being unreasonable?

is it just me?

liveinazoo · 10/04/2012 10:02

p.s it built up coz ive been so exhausted by dinner time im just focusing on getting them to bed and then collapsing in heapSad

carrotsandcelery · 10/04/2012 10:05

YANBU I am exactly the same zoo. I am not naturally tidy and I haven't trained my dcs very well but I am trying hard now. It would have been easier when they were smaller but I was struggling to do the very basics then. It is only now they are bigger that I am "finding myself" at all.

carrotsandcelery · 10/04/2012 10:07

zoo nightime problem is the same here too. I am amazed by the people who can do chores after the dcs go to bed. Sometimes we get a second wind at about 10pm but not often and if I am too busy in the evenings then I can't sleep.
