WisteriaWoman · 07/04/2012 21:44

Ta das hère too...
decluttered mine and DD's wardrobe and took two big bags to charity
dyed three pairs of jeans so they're now as good as new
dyed a set of grey towels to a glorious tulip red
cleaned 3 bathrooms
tidied up hall so it finally looks ok
made beds
and for one glorious moment I thought DH was going to shine the sink but no he said it could wait till morning, so I did that.
Even had time for 20 min mediation and time to take elderly parents out for tea.

My house now looks better than when I had a cleaner! Ta dah (BIG money saving!!)
Still lots to do but I"m feeling rather smug. Thanks Fly ladies for the encouragement!

carrotsandcelery · 07/04/2012 21:49

Wisteria feel very welcome to come and join us on our chat thread as well so we can get to know you [busmile] chat thread

carrotsandcelery · 07/04/2012 21:50

Wisteria may I also ask how you went about dying the clothing? Did you do it in the washing machine? If so, did it dye the rubber seal on your washing machine as well?

bessie26 · 07/04/2012 22:20

oooh yes Wisteria please tell. I am TERRIFIED of dying any clothes due to other people's teenage incidents with their parents' washing machines.....

bessie26 · 07/04/2012 22:23

ta da

  • cleaned up vomit
  • WM/TD on constantly
  • bugger all else Grin
carrotsandcelery · 07/04/2012 22:26

How is pukey pants getting on now bessie?

bessie26 · 07/04/2012 22:45

ok I think thanks carrots. She has kept some water, a cucumber stick, bread stick & a bf down since tea-time. She does keep making coughing/groaning type noises every hour or so, so we have to keep sneaking in to check she's not laying in a pool of vomit I can see I'm not going to get much good sleep tonight. How is your DS?

WisteriaWoman · 08/04/2012 08:04

Happy Easter all. [bugrin]
Re: Dying - I use Dylon in the machine and follow the instructions which are:
put dye and salt and clothes in machine on a 40 machine. Repeat with laundry powder. Remove clothes. Clean machine by doing a wash with laundry powder and bleach.

As I write I've got my final load of dying in the machine.... grey dressing gown and other things are going purple!!

I'm on Day 6 of Babysteps so I'm off learn all about "hotspots". [buhmm]

carrotsandcelery · 08/04/2012 08:40

made beds
cooked dinner.

Am off in a minute to try and do some more washing up then it will be bath and bedtime for the DC.

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 08/04/2012 18:52

Ta Das:

Mostly listing stuff on ebay and galavanting with the dcs trying to cheer up the household after this mornings calamities.

Facilitated the baby carrots making easter nests.

Being grumpy [bugrin]

WisteriaWoman · 09/04/2012 08:18

NOw I understand why we're meant to shine our sinks before bed because last night I didn't and the kitchen looks horrible this morning. [busad] So I'm hiding from it by I'm net surfing instead.

My excuse for the slatternly behaviour: we had a big supper and there wasn't enough room in the dishwasher for everything and I couldn't be bothered to wash it all by hand... .
At least I'm up and dressed. Ok on with the marigolds [bugrin]

carrotsandcelery · 09/04/2012 08:38

Morning Wisteria. I learned the sink shining lesson the hard way as well.

Ta Das:

Guinea pigs cleaned out (always pre bath/shower)
Dcs breakfasted and dressed.

I am just having my breakfast now.

liveinazoo · 09/04/2012 10:23
