My 11 year old food processor needs replacing. After purusing the argos catalogue I am even more confused. Can anyone help please and recommend what they have?

this is on my birthday list.

it depends what you would use it for though. I would mostly be baking with a little bit of food prep.

We even have our own thread about the prospero.....I can say it is a brilliant little machine....

Watching with interest. My blender is on the verge of death, as is my food processor. I used to have a stick blender with a handy little bowl attachment thing. Can I therefore get something (perhaps even the Prospero) that does blending, food processing, has a small bowl as well as a big one (spice mixes v tricky in a big bowl) and ideally clean up afterwards?

I had thought about a food mixer but they don't seem to do all the food processors do Confused. I was considering http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500002951&langId=-1&searchTerms=9021138 this

The 650watt one is going cheap atm but that one is the 900watt.

If no one buys me it for by my birthday next month I'm ordering it for myself.

Call off the search! I have been and got the Tefal one. I realised a food mixer wouldn't do what I wanted so I have got the food processor.

I hope you get it, mumatron.

Whatever you do, do NOT fork out for the kenwood fp980 multi-thingamagig.
The worst, I repeat WORST piece of overpriced kitchen appliance I have ever bought. And would kenwood listen when I described it's faults to them within my allowable return period? Nope.
