carrotsandcelery · 28/02/2012 21:05

Starting from March 1st lets babystep our way through the month, throwing in the odd mission.

Sign up here if you want to join in.

We have pointy sticks -> to get you off the sofa and chocolate and stickers as rewards.

Let's end our CHAOS and enjoy our sparkly homes.

Scout it is foggy and rainy here today. For us it would be indoor gymnastics I am afraid. Good luck on your secret donation mission.

instant well done on babystep 2. I accidentally left the washing in the machine overnight and have had to wash it again [muppet] so have the wm on but it is a bit of a cheat Blush

My next task is the dw which could be interesting with all my aches.

Dh has taken pup out for a run so I just have to think about how to exercise Twilight. She is currently refusing to go outside because of the rain so I will leave it for now and hope it brightens up.

today's mission is a pick your own for anyone who is looking for a bit more to do!

instant what are you making? [nosey]

I like the days when we all eat together at 5pm as then there is only one lot of washing up to do Grin

I am washed & dressed to slippers. We are going to walk round to the shop to buy some Angel Delight for lunch just as soon as DD2 is up from her nap.

carrotsandcelery · 02/03/2012 10:52

We had Angel Delight this week too bessie. I was feeling retro! I am sure it is full of rubbish but it was delicious Grin

The sun is coming out here so you might get outside Scout. I am glad I delayed walking Twilight.

The dw is loaded and the worktops are done. I am still quite stiff and sore so I am having a Brew and relax and will then think about the next job. I think it will be packing for our night away for a family wedding. I have no idea how I will dance now! Shock

bessie I think its just the belt thats gone but waiting for a friend to look at it as we can't afford a repair man. No idea how old it is though, as it was in the house when we bought it. Bib looks good, hopefully can get something like that in mothercare, as I have vouchers.

Scout my 2.10yo is still really cuddly too, it's great :)

Ta das:
Up, washed, dressed and make up
DC up and dressed
Cleaned fridge and made shopping list
Aired all beds and upstairs aired
Got DS2 to nap... in a cot!!!! for half and hour
Wrapped eBay parcels ready to post
Bagged up more laundry Angry

Got to drop DS1 at nursery at 1, then out for the rest of the day and staying at DParent's tonight as we are having dinner there to give DM her belated thanks to photobox 60th present, so need to make sure the house looks respectable before I leave, cos I hate coming back to a shithole

carrotsandcelery · 02/03/2012 11:44

Good list Belina.

My dcs are both still really cuddly and they are nearly 11 and 7 so hopefully that will always be the case. I am not allowed to kiss dd at school now though. Ds is still happy to shout "Mummy, I love you!" from the lines as they are going in Blush How long has he got before he gets beaten up for it do you think?

Due to Toddler's lie-in he's only just gone down for his nap. I'm having a pause and the rest of my lunch.

Managed to get to the recycling center with another pile of magazines/newspaper then went to my friend's with stuff for the sale tomorrow. Toddler decided to turn on the charm and got a drink and snack while we were there (to be fair, she's "adopted" him as a grandchild since she doesn't have any of her own and he can do no wrong in her eyes) and decided to have a messy nappy so it added another few minutes to our delivery. We didn't make the gymnastics activity since they're set one hour sessions and TS got up late so threw off our normal "routine."

CamperWidow · 02/03/2012 13:22

Hey everyone! DD1 is at Nursery today so life is a little easier.
Ta da:

instant I have only done the full sink shine flylady style a couple of times.

Ironing done

Next
Hotspot and room rescue

Dlamis · 02/03/2012 13:48

Feeling a bit better today too. Lay on settee all morning yesterday. Must've done me good cos i went out in the sun and back garden and started clearing away all of last years veggie growing rubbish/leftovers/growbags etc ready for starting again this year. I was inspired by all the gardening activity you guys did last week :o

Scout19075 · 02/03/2012 14:18

Why am I so tired?

bessie26 · 02/03/2012 14:18

Ugh, the sore throat I woke up with is getting worse & I have a bit of a sinusy headache. The DDs have gone for a nap & I am going to join them in the hope that it will make me feel a bit less tetchy!

Well done for doing stuff everyone, will catch up properly later.

carrotsandcelery · 02/03/2012 14:28

Sympathies bessie. I am not feeling too good and we don't know if it is mild concussion or if the shock of yesterday has meant the bug I was fighting off has caught up on me.

I am supposed to be packing and can hardly move. Everytime I try a little burst of activity I feel sick.

I am also still worrying about shoes for the wedding we have tomorrow.

It doesn't feel very productive although little bits and pieces are getting done.

OP posts:
bessie26 · 02/03/2012 16:07

We are all awake now & I still feel rubbish, so the nap feels like it was a bit of a waste of time. Oh well.

carrots could you go see the Dr before the weekend? I am worried about you teetering around at such a high altitude with slight concussion!

carrotsandcelery · 02/03/2012 16:15

bessie I have to admit I am worried about it as well. I have no idea what to do. I probably should have seen the doc this morning but have left it a bit late now. I can't see what they could do though. I have bought more ibuprofen and some arnica tablets to see if I can calm it all down a bit. I feel like such a muppet.

Dh has dealt with the dishes and there are enough left overs for dh and dd for tea.
I am having tea at my dmums. Ds will be there with my ddad while dh takes dd to the stables. I am a bit jittery about her going now but trying not to convey any of that to her.

I am off to the theatre tonight (My dmum's Christmas gift so I have to go. I think I will ask her to drive though.)

OP posts:
MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 02/03/2012 16:22

Sounds concussion-like to me carrots :( Hope those feeling poorly feel better soon.

I have been for a massage and bikini wax
Taken ds1 to and collected from nursery,
Washed and tumbled the towels,
Done a maintenance wash on the machine
Have a light load in now.
Yesterdays underwear all taken down from drying and socks mostly matched up and towels folded and ready to be hung back up (but I'm currently cuddling ds1 who is watching Cars 2 and is scared Wink)

Have also
Emptied dishwasher,
Put the lunchtime pots in dw
and...ahem, ladies and gentlemen...scrubbed the kitchen floor. As in, on my hands and knees scrubbed the floor

Still haven't decided what's for tea though

carrotsandcelery · 02/03/2012 16:27

Envy at massage although I am not sure if I could let anyone but dh loose on me right now (I can direct him a bit more - he has been assisting me with the deep heat today). I am not so Envy of the bikini wax though - you probably deserve a massage if you have to put up with that!

OP posts:
bessie26 · 02/03/2012 17:42

carrots what time does your surgery close?

Ver impressed with the floor scrubbing, was that before or after massage?!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 02/03/2012 18:36

After. But only because I only have 2 and a half hours a week where I don't have either child to look after as ds1 is at pre-school and ds2 goes to private nursery. So it had to be a 9.30 appt for the massage.

Thanks for being impressed - it was the first thing I said to dh tonight...'Hi, you ok? Look at the floor I scrubbed it by hand

bessie26 · 02/03/2012 18:54

I hope for his own sake he was suitably impressed chaotic?

DH is home, has cleared some of the mess up in the kitchen, helped bathe the DDs & will be using his hunter gatherer skills to get us a take-away & some wine. As neither paracetamol or ibruprofen have helped this sinusy pain, I think half a bottle of wine is my only option.

Is anyone doing anything exciting tonight? (other than shining your sink obvs!)

Scout19075 · 02/03/2012 19:39

MrScout got home during Phase 1 of bedtime (serious Peppa Pig watching). He's doing the 'jamas/teeth/face/story/stars/bed so I can do dinner and we can eat at a reasonable time. Just boring ol' spaghetti tonight -- easiest dinner to go meatless for me & meat for MrScout. Other than that, I think it's clearing up, watching American Idol and catching up on some email (both "business" (Guiding) and pleasure (friends from home)).

liveinazoo · 02/03/2012 19:55

the cavalry(dp) has saved me from a fate worst than hell....i have a notebook and internet access againGrin

am sooo excited im beside myself!has been a long lonely week

lovely to do a quick catch up and see acquired some new facesSmile

got loads done due to acute boredom AND had last workmen in (new toilet fitted)

so how is everyone?

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 02/03/2012 20:03

Hello liveinazoo, I'm mlisc, nice to meet you Grin

You might be Envy of my massage but I'm Envy of those whose husbands do bath/bedtime and/or cook tea. Mine does neither :( Ever :( :(

Wine bessie

liveinazoo · 02/03/2012 20:20

Nice to meet you to mliscGrin

Scout19075 · 02/03/2012 20:40

MyLife, MrScout rarely, and I do mean RARELY, does bedtime. He leaves by 6-6:00 every day and the earliest he's normally home is 8 p.m. Toddler's bedtime is 7.

Oh...MrScout just asked me if I was taking anything over to the Jumble Sale because "you've been giving stuff away." Blush
