i will need pointy sticking to put 2 carrier bags of rubbish out before it gets dark...a couple months ago a woman down the street who could make flylady weep had rats.bad rat infestation.i saw some running across the road one morning before it was light and i was putting out recycling

i dont do running but ive never moved so fast in all my born daysShock

since then im too scared to put rubbish out after dark in case i see another

shes been evicted now and house fumigated..i think she mustve had some mental health or behavoural issues as she wasnt in the least bit bothered by the mess or rats, spoke in joking tones dh catching them and drowning them in the bathShock
i just felt sad for the kids(10 and 17) both have learning difficulties and thats not a situation kids shouldve been in.surprised ss didnt take them to be honestSad

I have hanged wet washing and put away dry washing.

Dc have been winding each other up, climbing on each other, DD was hitting, throwing toys and getting stressy (usual toddler stuff!).

I will have to go and sort dinner soon then we have to get ready to go to a party.

carrotsandcelery · 10/03/2012 16:38

Dd and her friend are here now and have been playing outside on scooters etc.

It is getting very slightly dark (enough to make me concerned about cars) and cold now so they are in and playing on the wii. They have had a busy day so I think it is ok for now - it is Saturday evening after all.

Dh was very grumpy so has been banished if he can't be friendly.

Ds is playing Lego (not unusual).

I am trying to chill a bit before I make tea.

We saw a dead rat on the pavement in the town we went to for ds's activity today. It was HUGE! Eeuuuwww!

Oooh! A party! Woo hoo! Is it a grown ups party or a kids party or a family party?

OP posts:
liveinazoo · 10/03/2012 16:43

grrrrAngry

why do people not only let their dogs foul the path right outside my gate but drag them along doing it so i have loads mess to clean up!!!

carrotsandcelery · 10/03/2012 16:45

This sort of thing drives me nuts too zoo. One of our neighbours lets her dog run loose all over the street and he seems to love to poo in our garden. She has stood there and watched him do it before and not said or done anything about it even though we are there. We were too shocked and too cowardly to say anything. It gives responsible dog owners a bad name too. We always pick up

It is a grown up 40th party at bro's house.

I am Shock it is starting to get dark where you are carrots. I think it starts to get dark here around 5.40 now. NW.

liveinazoo · 10/03/2012 16:45

carrots i thought that recently about a mars bar.im sure my hands havent grown since i last ate one so they must be shrinking, yet the price keeps going up....

liveinazoo · 10/03/2012 16:50

we have daylight til after 6

sticker for carrots responsible dog ownershipGrin

our council is "cost cutting" and turning off half the street lights at night..its become a walking dog lav round here where under the cover of darkness lazy beggars let their dogs go anywhere unseen

our side road has no lights and my next door neigbour had a hedge...she didnt see the cat poo at her doorstep just smelt it

on the way to school i spend all my time saying "poo...watch the poo".i can think bettr games to play on a monday morning especially thean dodge the dog mess and recycling bins launched all over by the binmen

thanks for listening

BlackCatTryingToFly · 10/03/2012 16:51

I think I will have to go now as we need to get ready.

If I'm not back on here later, I will "see" y'all tomorrow. x

liveinazoo · 10/03/2012 16:52

liveinazoo · 10/03/2012 16:53

liveinazoo · 10/03/2012 16:55

dd2 has returned to pjs

is requesting painted fingernails...wants leopard print toes but ive not the strength left for that..i will do them tomorrow when take finger polish off as not allowed to wear it for school

carrotsandcelery · 10/03/2012 17:19

It is not dark here yet. The light has just dimmed enough for me to be anxious [helicopter mum] It was still light just after 6 last night as dd was no longer taking a pony to the field in darkness after her lesson. It is pitch dark by 7 though.

The girls have requested an early tea and are now back outside but in the back garden going from trampoline to swing.

BC I hope you enjoy the party. Is it a dress up affair or quite relaxed?

I'm back! Phew... you lot move swiftly! I think I might be more of a check in twice a day type.

Attacked the filing hotspots at work and put my timer on 4 times - so got an hour of mega organisation done.

Ta-das:
Chucked out loads of useless/duplicate paperwork
Sorted out all our invoices

Cleared out a big section of stockroom
Put concertina file to good use and coded each section
Created a running 'to do' list for Household, Housework and Work things

To-do:
Clean out the coffee section!
Sort out bookcase build it first and unpack

Absolutely fine to call me LA carrots! Now, someone mentioned garibaldis...

zoo if you haven't put the rubbish out yet, consider this a pointy stick -->

BlackCatTryingToFly · 10/03/2012 17:48

I still haven't gone yet.
Dinner is done we've just got to get changed now. I was wrong about what time it gets dark here as it is still light but a bit duller so it must get dark around 6.

Anyway must go and get sorted now.
