Helloooooo fellow fledglings!
MC and Whoknows Have also been pumpkin-carving today! Tried to carve a friendly smile but ended up a little too psycho for my liking!
Absolutely glorious weather. Had lovely relaxing, quiet weekend with just the three of us and no entertaining - which meant we could get out and about in the sunshine. It seemed to go really slowly which makes a change.
Now enjoying first day of half-term holidays - spending it getting ready for our trip at the end of the week and having fun. DD is trying out roller skates for the first time (except they are v. different to the ones I had in my youth - wheels in a row instead of each corner). So have been huffing and puffing around the park with her... she is getting better and faster each time and she is soon going to leave her grab support me behind!
Ellie thanks for leading us through October thread when you have been so busy yourself. I haven't done as well as I had intended on the Flying front but hoping (as ever!) for better things in November.
Madwoman Brilliant news about finding your rings!! So happy for you!!!!!
That happy news really gives me hope as (not on same scale as wedding rings) but have lost rather expensive and much-loved fountain pen and I am hoping I am still going to come across it at some point in time to write Christmas cards/letters.
(But sorry to hear about freezer - what a nuisance, partic in the midst of your huge reorganisation)
Nettie Well done on getting to the end of your Frocktober challenge!!
Linzer and Whoknows am very
of your London trip but hope you have both had a fab time!
Blue am further confused about halloween v all souls etiquette here. School had sent a letter banning all ghoulish activity but little ones in maternelle emerged from school on Friday afternoon holding cardboard & wool bats that they had constructed that day. Then, later in the evening, went to pick up dd from a play-date at home of strict RC family (they are lovely - 5 dc + one more on the way) and was besieged by a dozen or more mini-Draculas. DD was VERY upset with me because she was the only one without a costume and I had stopped her from taking her witch outfit to school! Will hopefully make up for it tonight when she attends a ghosty/halloween event in local park in full costume and make-up, and same again tomorrow night visiting friends. Then I will hopefully be forgiven!
