Hello again everyone! This is the new thread for us as the old one was getting a bit unmanageable.

carrots hope the meetings went well xx

AngelDog · 16/09/2011 22:02

Okay, so I'm still on MN and have done nothing at all. Blush

Off to hang out my washing.

Carrots, hope your weekend isn't too manic.

Carrotsandcelery · 16/09/2011 22:19

bessie the meetings did go well thanks. The issues we are dealing with are heartbreaking but at least we are getting some support now.

The good news we got today is that ds is considered extremely bright (which we hadn't been told up until now - I think I am allowed a given the circumstances) and they just have to find ways to deal with the emotional problems in order to access that intelligence more effectively. They had an official looking form requesting SFL for him and they had ticked "very able pupil" so I took a little consolation from that Sad Grin It's a weird one!

Dd seems to be developing some sort of eating disorder, thought to be triggered by the stress of living with ds, but the doc thinks we have caught it in time and may be able to stop it developing into anything more sinister. The doc has given her the task of monitoring what dh and I eat. Eeeeek! We are not allowed anything sugary/unhealthy so my choc digestive/Malteser reward eating will have to be secretive Grin

Sorry everyone - that is probably all a bit serious for a Friday night.

Angel the weekend is a bit mad - the next 3 are mad - but I do get to stay in a hotel for two nights during the 3rd one, so won't have any dishwasher, washing machine, decluttering etc. Grin

carrots glad the meetings went well, it must be an awful situation to be in, but at least you have A Plan & some good support. I know you probably don't want to hear this, but do you think it's a good idea to hide your malteser habit? If she has (the beginings of) food issues, what if she finds out you have been secretly scoffing? Secret eating is a Bad Thing to start doing...

I need to rein in my chocolate habit soon. I've been using the bad sleeping, ebf baby as an excuse, but her sleep is improving & she will be 5 months old next week so I won't be her sole source of food for much longer! Sell your shares in Green&Blacks now ladies! Wink

Carrotsandcelery · 17/09/2011 09:24

bessie I thought the same last night as I typed it. It does sound a bit dodgy doesn't it. Pants!

Oh well, it certainly won't do my figure any harm, or the budget...I will just have the one last packet I have in the cupboard after the fundraiser today and that will be that. Lead by example and all that.

It isn't a great situation but we are getting good support now so hopefully life will improve.

I am dressed to shoes but all flying is in dh's hands til this evening.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi all, I'm hoping to get some decluttering done today Hmm
Not much else to report really.

bessie26 · 17/09/2011 12:32

I have put ALL the clean laundry away!

LittleMissProcrastinator · 17/09/2011 13:26

Well done bessie
I am living up to my name at the moment am spending far too long procrastinating on MN. Is anyone around to give me an incentive?
Please

bessie26 · 17/09/2011 14:51

boot!

LittleMissProcrastinator · 17/09/2011 15:30

OWW!

(Yawn) Oh dear, I'm feeling pretty useless today, don't know if it's just a weekend thing cause I seem to keep going through the week.Confused
Maybe it's the lack of routine or it could be the disturbed night last night(dd kept waking up and crying)Sad

Carrotsandcelery · 17/09/2011 15:53

Well done bessie that is a rare event in this house.

LittleMiss I slow the pace at the weekend, when everyone is around. Everyone needs a bit of a break. Admittedly I have had a few breaks this week but I have worked hard on the fundraiser I was involved with yesterday and today so it balances out. I also made £43 more, selling off the proceeds of my decluttering so there are other advantages to decluttering, as well as the calmer household.

Dh has done a reasonable job keeping things vaguely under control today. I am off to have a bath as I feel dirty and dusty.

OP posts:
LittleMissProcrastinator · 17/09/2011 18:18

I just summoned enough energy to do a 15 minute room rescue in kitchen and in
dining room/living room. that's it now though, I can't do anymore.
I think I might class Saturday / Sunday as part days off, Do a little on each day and have the rest of day off.
How is everyone else?

bessie26 · 17/09/2011 18:43

littlemiss remember that doing something is always better than doing nothing! Has your DD got a cold? The girls & I have all had horrible bunged up noses & sore throats, the whole house reeks of olbas oil!

carrots the laundry basket stayed empty for about 30mins, then I had another load to put away! But the basket is empty again & will be for another hour or so when the next load comes out of the tumble dryer!

I had DD1 cleaning the bit between the bath & the side panel with a toothbrush today! (She saw me doing it & wanted a go) She was very pleased with herself & DH was proudly shown her work when he came home from arsing about on the golf course !!

Carrotsandcelery · 17/09/2011 18:47

Is it too early for Wine? I really fancy some Wine and ds has put on Bee Movie AGAIN - I could recite this film.

bessie sounds like a Tom Sawyer moment. Well done little bes.

LittleMiss 15 mins is more than I have done inside this house today. Every little declutter is a bonus.

OP posts:
AngelDog · 17/09/2011 21:48

Evening everyone. Have been relaxing with a Wine myself.

I've done virtually nothing all day. DS has been wailing all day (teeth/tiredness) but thankfully he's fast asleep now.

I did some washing, have cooked bolognese for tomorrow's dinner and tidied the kitchen a bit. That's pretty much it. Must go to bed earlier again.

Well done, bessie & LittleMiss.

Day off tomorrow. Grin

GossipWitch · 18/09/2011 09:11

Today I am planning on getting on with everything I didn't do last week including the missions hopefully the dc's wont get in my way too much. May have to chuck ds1 to play out and pray that he doesn't try and wreck anyone else's car this time, urrgghhh!! don't ask, he was grounded for a week and it was pure torture for me!! I'll just give ds2 a cloth and a spray bottle of water, he likes helping me, I found a brilliant thread on AIBU, its from your toddlers point of view, its brilliant, whoops I think I have probably just made you all procrastinate for another hour or so, sorry.

Carrotsandcelery · 18/09/2011 09:25

Morning all!

Dd is happily making a birthday card and ds is colouring in so I have sneaked on here while I eat my breakfast.

I am still in my pjs (dh is hiding in bed twittering on his phone) but I have done a 15 minute declutter of the kitchen and managed to get the dcs to part with a few broken bits and pieces too. I have also done a 5 min room rescue of the hall which seemed to be all dd's stuff from the stables, swimming, playdates etc.

I plan to load the dishwasher, clean the worktops, dust the kitchen and hoover.

Then I am off to PARTY!!! Yay!

OP posts:
GossipWitch · 18/09/2011 10:29

I'm feeling that all could actually be possible, I've:-
-got dressed,
-made beds,
-de-cluttered my room
-put some laundry in

and I'm just on a 15 minute break before I room rescue the lounge, I'm going to concentrate on the dreaded boys room as the stash and dash place as I've just stabbed my foot on some crappy toy that will be chucked out soon Grin and the bathroom is in Kelly's mission too which means upstairs will be bloody gorgeous. Grin

GossipWitch · 18/09/2011 12:19

All of this weeks missions are done! and I spent 30 mins of the stash and dashes in the boys bedroom instead, and its now tidy, I can walk through it without out cutting my feet open, I have also decided what to do for dinner, I'm feeling good and having a 15 min break before i tackle the kitchen and start on afternoon list. Ds2 is having major tantrum due to me not letting him run around half naked out side.

Carrotsandcelery · 18/09/2011 12:25

Gossip I hope your foot is ok Shock I am not given to poor language but have uttered very naughty words when standing on Lego barefoot in the middle of the night. Shock Shock

I have given myself a blessing ready for today's party. It is amazing how much better it makes you feel. I am also wearing makeup and not wearing jeans Shock

Unfortunately, while I was doing that, the dcs have made quite a lot of craft mess on the kitchen table. They will have to clear it up for lunch though. We are having cheese and crackers and I can't wait.

All this flying must be doing me some good, despite the Malteser issue, as my non jeans trousers are a bit big. They were a bit tight in the summer Grin

OP posts:
GossipWitch · 18/09/2011 12:31

whoo hoo well done carrots that is fab, make up and all sorts done, im still on my break my foot isn't too bad it isn't cut but its sore iyswim, just had to remove a dead mouse from my front garden bleeding cats!!

Carrotsandcelery · 18/09/2011 13:27

Yuk to dead mice.

The only problem with being dressed to go out is I don't want to get in a state cleaning I will have to do it more often Grin

OP posts:
GossipWitch · 18/09/2011 15:06

Having yet another break, as I have done my morning and half of my afternoon lists, unfortunately I cant cook dinner and do the kids bed time routines now, as they would protest about that, and both would be up in the early hours of the morning. think I may attack some more laundry, I'm bored, or I might even do some things for my x-mas hampers.Yes I'll do that instead Grin

LittleMissProcrastinator · 18/09/2011 17:19

Just thought I'd say "Hi" as I haven't been on MN all day Shock.
I can't stay long as I am in the middle of cooking dinner. and ds wants to help make some cakes after dinner.
Bye for now hope to come back later.Wink

missmakesstuff · 18/09/2011 20:14

Hi littlemiss. I haven't been on either, well done me!

HAve been manic all weekend, had lots of work to do, just about to finish the rest off now, however the kitchen is a mess after roast dinner (was yum though) and have to sort that too. Then DH has promised to run me a nice bath. However he will have to get all of DD's plastic toys out first as I started to wash them all from being in the garden. DH 'decluttered' the garden today, so it is looking much better, chairs and everything washed and ready to go in loft for the winter. (we don't have a shed)

We were out all day yesterday, at a load of car boot sales and then blackberry and plum picking, got loads, and spent about 3hrs this afternoon bottling up blackberry and xmas pud vodka, plus loads of sloe gin too, froze the plums for jam making nex week. We have about 5 litres altogether - just got to wait now till xmas and hope its all ok! It's all going to be presents, a small bottle of liqueur and some shot glasses that I will probably spray etch snowflakes or something onto. Might do some wine glass charms too. We are skint this year for xmas, so everyone is getting stuff that was free or very cheap!

so after all that haven't had a lot of time to clean, did the bathroom yesterday and all the missions, today has just been tidying after all the cooking and alcohol making.

Everyone else sounds just as busy - I am going to get on with my evening jobs then a lovely bath, bliss.
