Moorcroft Lamp look-a-likes

vintageteacups · 15/01/2011 12:13

Hi - I absolutely love Morrcroft lamps, however I don't love the price!

Have tried to google moorcroft style maps but it only seems to come up with the real thing.

Can anyone recommend a make/shop where I could get a lamp that is similar in style to Moorcroft but for under £100?

Many thanks

You were corrected on your misunderstanding (that only you were looking for) and you didn't like it.
Thankyou.

Pipe down dear, you protest too much.
vintageteacups has already explained that her title was 'didgy-sounding' a new phrase for me but I think I know what she means! Grin

scurryfunge · 17/01/2011 22:59

I think she is more charitable than me with fuckwits. Smile

vintageteacups · 17/01/2011 23:01

I try Smile
Should have been 'dodgy-sounding'

Anyway - it's all fine and I've found some nice lamp.

Oh hahahhaha the passive aggresive smiley! Grin

vintage and hollybolly I hope you find something beautiful but different.

scurryfunge · 17/01/2011 23:04

indeedSmile

Blimey - I really didn't think my lamp thread would get so heated.

My other thread today about conspiracy is positively relaxed in comparison.

I know, it's like AIBU. Can't believe someone has got so wound up about something so inconsequential. It is quite amusing really. I deal with fraud quite a bit and am amazed that someone would get upset at something that is clearly not fraudulent.

woollyideas · 17/01/2011 23:15

Wasn't the key phrase in OP '...similar in style', not 'moody knock-off'?

Honestly, get a grip Belle!

BelleDeCinsault · 17/01/2011 23:15

If you really dealt with fraud you would know you are talking nonsense.
Dealing with fraud quite a bit in your case probably means on the wrong side of it. Your arguments certainly read like many of the fraudsters I have encountered scurryfunge.

vintageteacups · 17/01/2011 23:15

Hey Scurry - are you saying my lamp thread is 'inconsequential'??? GrinGrin

OP posts:
BelleDeCinsault · 17/01/2011 23:16

No wooollyideas, the key phrase was look-a-like.

vintageteacups · 17/01/2011 23:16

Am just imagining scurry walking down the street with some lamps hanging out of her pocket Wink

You are quite lovely, aren't you BDC? Making accusations about which side of the law I am on, ha ha! I shall leave you to your deluded idea that you can steal flowery lamp base ideas.

vintage -not inconsequential at all! It has made me re assess quite a bit actually.
Has been fun Grin

vintageteacups · 17/01/2011 23:22

I think, once I buy a vase,it shall always be referred to as my mumsnet vase.........and nobody shall understand why!

vintage you seem to have no idea how badly you can be ripped off online by the unscrupulous. Do you know scurryfunge offline? do you know his/her business interests? Don't be a fool. Be very careful about collectable ceramics.

scurryfunge · 17/01/2011 23:25

oh, fuck off BDC -I'm a police officer, you dim wit. That is why I find you amusing.

BelleDeCinsault · 17/01/2011 23:27

And everybody knows police officers are not known for corruption!

woollyideas · 17/01/2011 23:28

For pity's sake. [hmmm]

scurryfunge · 17/01/2011 23:29

woollyideas · 17/01/2011 23:30

I'm after a Tiffany style bracelet. My budget is a tenner. Any idea where I can get one? Anyone?

scurryfunge · 17/01/2011 23:31

Argos

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 17/01/2011 23:32

Crikey. I should look in on Good Housekeeping more often.

BelleDeCinsault · 17/01/2011 23:34

Scurryfunge the 'police officer' has called me confused, a fuckwit, said I was talking shite, told me to fuck off oh and thinking I am 'wound up'. Not at all, this is professional.
Hence the lack of personal insults from my side.
